[8] إِنَّها عَلَيهِم مُؤصَدَةٌ
[8] এতে তাদেরকে বেঁধে দেয়া হবে,
[8] Verily, it shall be closed upon them,

[9] فى عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ
[9] লম্বা লম্বা খুঁটিতে।
[9] In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] أَلَم تَرَ كَيفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصحٰبِ الفيلِ
[1] আপনি কি দেখেননি আপনার পালনকর্তা হস্তীবাহিনীর সাথে কিরূপ ব্যবহার করেছেন?
[1] Have you (O Muhammad (SAW)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka’bah at Makkah].

[2] أَلَم يَجعَل كَيدَهُم فى تَضليلٍ
[2] তিনি কি তাদের চক্রান্ত নস্যাৎ করে দেননি?
[2] Did He not make their plot go astray?

[3] وَأَرسَلَ عَلَيهِم طَيرًا أَبابيلَ
[3] তিনি তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করেছেন ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পাখী,
[3] And He sent against them birds, in flocks,

[4] تَرميهِم بِحِجارَةٍ مِن سِجّيلٍ
[4] যারা তাদের উপর পাথরের কংকর নিক্ষেপ করছিল।
[4] Striking them with stones of Sijjîl (baked clay).

[5] فَجَعَلَهُم كَعَصفٍ مَأكولٍ
[5] অতঃপর তিনি তাদেরকে ভক্ষিত তৃণসদৃশ করে দেন।
[5] And He made them like (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] لِإيلٰفِ قُرَيشٍ
[1] কোরাইশের আসক্তির কারণে,
[1] (It is a great Grace and protection from Allâh), for the taming of the Quraish,

[2] إۦلٰفِهِم رِحلَةَ الشِّتاءِ وَالصَّيفِ
[2] আসক্তির কারণে তাদের শীত ও গ্রীষ্মকালীন সফরের।
[2] (And with all those Allâh’s Grace and Protections for their taming, We cause) the (Quraish) caravans to set forth safe in winter (to the south), and in summer (to the north without any fear),

[3] فَليَعبُدوا رَبَّ هٰذَا البَيتِ
[3] অতএব তারা যেন এবাদত করে এই ঘরের পালনকর্তার
[3] So let them worship (Allâh) the Lord of this House (the Ka’bah in Makkah).

[4] الَّذى أَطعَمَهُم مِن جوعٍ وَءامَنَهُم مِن خَوفٍ
[4] যিনি তাদেরকে ক্ষুধায় আহার দিয়েছেন এবং যুদ্ধভীতি থেকে তাদেরকে নিরাপদ করেছেন।
[4] (He) Who has fed them against hunger, and has made them safe from fear.

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] أَرَءَيتَ الَّذى يُكَذِّبُ بِالدّينِ
[1] আপনি কি দেখেছেন তাকে, যে বিচারদিবসকে মিথ্যা বলে?
[1] Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?

[2] فَذٰلِكَ الَّذى يَدُعُّ اليَتيمَ
[2] সে সেই ব্যক্তি, যে এতীমকে গলা ধাক্কা দেয়
[2] That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),

[3] وَلا يَحُضُّ عَلىٰ طَعامِ المِسكينِ
[3] এবং মিসকীনকে অন্ন দিতে উৎসাহিত করে না।
[3] And urges not on the feeding of AlMiskîn (the poor),

[4] فَوَيلٌ لِلمُصَلّينَ
[4] অতএব দুর্ভোগ সেসব নামাযীর,
[4] So woe unto those performers of Salât (prayers) (hypocrites),

[5] الَّذينَ هُم عَن صَلاتِهِم ساهونَ
[5] যারা তাদের নামায সম্বন্ধে বে-খবর;
[5] Those who delay their Salât (prayer from their stated fixed times),

[6] الَّذينَ هُم يُراءونَ
[6] যারা তা লোক-দেখানোর জন্য করে
[6] Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),

[7] وَيَمنَعونَ الماعونَ
[7] এবং নিত্য ব্যবহার্য্য বস্তু অন্যকে দেয় না।
[7] And prevent Al-Mâ’ûn (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] إِنّا أَعطَينٰكَ الكَوثَرَ
[1] নিশ্চয় আমি আপনাকে কাওসার দান করেছি।
[1] Verily, We have granted you (O Muhammad (SAW)) Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise);

[2] فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانحَر
[2] অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশ্যে নামায পড়ুন এবং কোরবানী করুন।
[2] Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)
