[2] وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما لَيلَةُ القَدرِ
[2] শবে-কদর সমন্ধে আপনি কি জানেন?
[2] And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?

[3] لَيلَةُ القَدرِ خَيرٌ مِن أَلفِ شَهرٍ
[3] শবে-কদর হল এক হাজার মাস অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ।
[3] The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allâh in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months)

[4] تَنَزَّلُ المَلٰئِكَةُ وَالرّوحُ فيها بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِم مِن كُلِّ أَمرٍ
[4] এতে প্রত্যেক কাজের জন্যে ফেরেশতাগণ ও রূহ অবতীর্ণ হয় তাদের পালনকর্তার নির্দেশক্রমে।
[4] Therein descend the angels and the Rûh [Jibril (Gabriel)] by Allâh’s Permission with all Decrees,

[5] سَلٰمٌ هِىَ حَتّىٰ مَطلَعِ الفَجرِ
[5] এটা নিরাপত্তা, যা ফজরের উদয় পর্যন্ত অব্যাহত থাকে।
[5] (All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allâh to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] لَم يَكُنِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتٰبِ وَالمُشرِكينَ مُنفَكّينَ حَتّىٰ تَأتِيَهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ
[1] আহলে-কিতাব ও মুশরিকদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের ছিল, তারা প্রত্যাবর্তন করত না যতক্ষণ না তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসত।
[1] Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn, were not going to leave (their disbelief) until there came to them clear evidence

[2] رَسولٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَتلوا صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً
[2] অর্থাৎ আল্লাহর একজন রসূল, যিনি আবৃত্তি করতেন পবিত্র সহীফা,
[2] A Messenger (Muhammad (SAW)) from Allâh, reciting (the Qur’ân) purified pages [purified from Al-Bâtil (falsehood)]

[3] فيها كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ
[3] যাতে আছে, সঠিক বিষয়বস্তু।
[3] Wherein are correct and straight laws from Allâh.

[4] وَما تَفَرَّقَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ إِلّا مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَتهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ
[4] অপর কিতাব প্রাপ্তরা যে বিভ্রান্ত হয়েছে, তা হয়েছে তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পরেই।
[4] And the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) differed not until after there came to them clear evidence. (i.e. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and whatever was revealed to him).

[5] وَما أُمِروا إِلّا لِيَعبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ حُنَفاءَ وَيُقيمُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَيُؤتُوا الزَّكوٰةَ ۚ وَذٰلِكَ دينُ القَيِّمَةِ
[5] তাদেরকে এছাড়া কোন নির্দেশ করা হয়নি যে, তারা খাঁটি মনে একনিষ্ঠভাবে আল্লাহর এবাদত করবে, নামায কায়েম করবে এবং যাকাত দেবে। এটাই সঠিক ধর্ম।
[5] And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allâh, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and give Zakât: and that is the right religion.

[6] إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتٰبِ وَالمُشرِكينَ فى نارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدينَ فيها ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُم شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ
[6] আহলে-কিতাব ও মুশরিকদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের, তারা জাহান্নামের আগুনে স্থায়ীভাবে থাকবে। তারাই সৃষ্টির অধম।
[6] Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islâm, the Qur’ân and Prophet Muhammad (SAW)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.

[7] إِنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ أُولٰئِكَ هُم خَيرُ البَرِيَّةِ
[7] যারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে, তারাই সৃষ্টির সেরা।
[7] Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad (SAW)) including all obligations ordered by Islâm] and do righteous good deeds, they are the best of creatures

[8] جَزاؤُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم جَنّٰتُ عَدنٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ رَضِىَ اللَّهُ عَنهُم وَرَضوا عَنهُ ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن خَشِىَ رَبَّهُ
[8] তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে রয়েছে তাদের প্রতিদান চিরকাল বসবাসের জান্নাত, যার তলদেশে নির্ঝরিণী প্রবাহিত। তারা সেখানে থাকবে অনন্তকাল। আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। এটা তার জন্যে, যে তার পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর।
[8] Their reward with their Lord is ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity), underneath which rivers flow, They will abide therein forever, Allâh will be pleased with them, and they with Him. That is for him who fears his Lord.

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] إِذا زُلزِلَتِ الأَرضُ زِلزالَها
[1] যখন পৃথিবী তার কম্পনে প্রকম্পিত হবে,
[1] When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake.

[2] وَأَخرَجَتِ الأَرضُ أَثقالَها
[2] যখন সে তার বোঝা বের করে দেবে।
[2] And when the earth throws out its burdens,

[3] وَقالَ الإِنسٰنُ ما لَها
[3] এবং মানুষ বলবে, এর কি হল ?
[3] And man will say: “What is the matter with it?”

[4] يَومَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخبارَها
[4] সেদিন সে তার বৃত্তান্ত বর্ণনা করবে,
[4] That Day it will declare its information (about all that happened over it of good or evil).

[5] بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوحىٰ لَها
[5] কারণ, আপনার পালনকর্তা তাকে আদেশ করবেন।
[5] Because your Lord will inspire it.

[6] يَومَئِذٍ يَصدُرُ النّاسُ أَشتاتًا لِيُرَوا أَعمٰلَهُم
[6] সেদিন মানুষ বিভিন্ন দলে প্রকাশ পাবে, যাতে তাদেরকে তাদের কৃতকর্ম দেখানো হয়।
[6] That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds.

[7] فَمَن يَعمَل مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيرًا يَرَهُ
[7] অতঃপর কেউ অণু পরিমাণ সৎকর্ম করলে তা দেখতে পাবে
[7] So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.

[8] وَمَن يَعمَل مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ
[8] এবং কেউ অণু পরিমাণ অসৎকর্ম করলে তাও দেখতে পাবে।
[8] And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
