[10] وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما هِيَه
[10] আপনি জানেন তা কি?
[10] And what will make you know what it is?

[11] نارٌ حامِيَةٌ
[11] প্রজ্জ্বলিত অগ্নি!
[11] (It is) a fiercey blazing Fire!

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] أَلهىٰكُمُ التَّكاثُرُ
[1] প্রাচুর্যের লালসা তোমাদেরকে গাফেল রাখে,
[1] The mutual rivalry (for piling up of worldly things) diverts you,

[2] حَتّىٰ زُرتُمُ المَقابِرَ
[2] এমনকি, তোমরা কবরস্থানে পৌছে যাও।
[2] Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die).

[3] كَلّا سَوفَ تَعلَمونَ
[3] এটা কখনও উচিত নয়। তোমরা সত্ত্বরই জেনে নেবে।
[3] Nay! You shall come to know!

[4] ثُمَّ كَلّا سَوفَ تَعلَمونَ
[4] অতঃপর এটা কখনও উচিত নয়। তোমরা সত্ত্বরই জেনে নেবে।
[4] Again, Nay! You shall come to know!

[5] كَلّا لَو تَعلَمونَ عِلمَ اليَقينِ
[5] কখনই নয়; যদি তোমরা নিশ্চিত জানতে।
[5] Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have been occupied yourselves in worldly things)

[6] لَتَرَوُنَّ الجَحيمَ
[6] তোমরা অবশ্যই জাহান্নাম দেখবে,
[6] Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)!

[7] ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّها عَينَ اليَقينِ
[7] অতঃপর তোমরা তা অবশ্যই দেখবে দিব্য প্রত্যয়ে,
[7] And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight!

[8] ثُمَّ لَتُسـَٔلُنَّ يَومَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعيمِ
[8] এরপর অবশ্যই সেদিন তোমরা নেয়ামত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে।
[8] Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delights (you indulged in, in this world)!

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] وَالعَصرِ
[1] কসম যুগের (সময়ের),
[1] By Al-‘Asr (the time).

[2] إِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ لَفى خُسرٍ
[2] নিশ্চয় মানুষ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত;
[2] Verily, man is in loss,

[3] إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَواصَوا بِالحَقِّ وَتَواصَوا بِالصَّبرِ
[3] কিন্তু তারা নয়, যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে এবং পরস্পরকে তাকীদ করে সত্যের এবং তাকীদ করে সবরের।
[3] Except those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma’ruf) which Allâh has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar) which Allâh has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allâh’s Cause during preaching His religion of Islâmic Monotheism or Jihâd).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] وَيلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ
[1] প্রত্যেক পশ্চাতে ও সম্মুখে পরনিন্দাকারীর দুর্ভোগ,
[1] Woe to every slanderer and backbiter.

[2] الَّذى جَمَعَ مالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ
[2] যে অর্থ সঞ্চিত করে ও গণনা করে
[2] Who has gathered wealth and counted it,

[3] يَحسَبُ أَنَّ مالَهُ أَخلَدَهُ
[3] সে মনে করে যে, তার অর্থ চিরকাল তার সাথে থাকবে!
[3] He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever!

[4] كَلّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِى الحُطَمَةِ
[4] কখনও না, সে অবশ্যই নিক্ষিপ্ত হবে পিষ্টকারীর মধ্যে।
[4] Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire

[5] وَما أَدرىٰكَ مَا الحُطَمَةُ
[5] আপনি কি জানেন, পিষ্টকারী কি?
[5] And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is?

[6] نارُ اللَّهِ الموقَدَةُ
[6] এটা আল্লাহর প্রজ্জ্বলিত অগ্নি,
[6] The fire of Allâh, kindled,

[7] الَّتى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الأَفـِٔدَةِ
[7] যা হৃদয় পর্যন্ত পৌছবে।
[7] Which leaps up over the hearts,
