[32] وَلٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّىٰ
[32] পরন্ত মিথ্যারোপ করেছে ও পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করেছে।
[32] But on the contrary, he belied (this Qur’ân and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away!

[33] ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ يَتَمَطّىٰ
[33] অতঃপর সে দম্ভভরে পরিবার-পরিজনের নিকট ফিরে গিয়েছে।
[33] Then he walked in conceit (full pride) to his family admiring himself!

[34] أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ
[34] তোমার দুর্ভোগের উপর দুর্ভোগ।
[34] Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!

[35] ثُمَّ أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ
[35] অতঃপর, তোমার দুর্ভোগের উপর দূর্ভোগ।
[35] Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!

[36] أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسٰنُ أَن يُترَكَ سُدًى
[36] মানুষ কি মনে করে যে, তাকে এমনি ছেড়ে দেয়া হবে?
[36] Does man think that he will be left neglected [without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allâh) on him]?

[37] أَلَم يَكُ نُطفَةً مِن مَنِىٍّ يُمنىٰ
[37] সে কি স্খলিত বীর্য ছিল না?
[37] Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female sexual discharge) of semen emitted (poured forth)?

[38] ثُمَّ كانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّىٰ
[38] অতঃপর সে ছিল রক্তপিন্ড, অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং সুবিন্যস্ত করেছেন।
[38] Then he became an ‘Alaqa (a clot); then (Allâh) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.

[39] فَجَعَلَ مِنهُ الزَّوجَينِ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثىٰ
[39] অতঃপর তা থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন যুগল নর ও নারী।
[39] And made him in two sexes, male and female.

[40] أَلَيسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلىٰ أَن يُحۦِىَ المَوتىٰ
[40] তবুও কি সেই আল্লাহ মৃতদেরকে জীবিত করতে সক্ষম নন?
[40] Is not He (Allâh Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] هَل أَتىٰ عَلَى الإِنسٰنِ حينٌ مِنَ الدَّهرِ لَم يَكُن شَيـًٔا مَذكورًا
[1] মানুষের উপর এমন কিছু সময় অতিবাহিত হয়েছে যখন সে উল্লেখযোগ্য কিছু ছিল না।
[1] Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was not a thing worth mentioning?

[2] إِنّا خَلَقنَا الإِنسٰنَ مِن نُطفَةٍ أَمشاجٍ نَبتَليهِ فَجَعَلنٰهُ سَميعًا بَصيرًا
[2] আমি মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছি মিশ্র শুক্রবিন্দু থেকে, এভাবে যে, তাকে পরীক্ষা করব অতঃপর তাকে করে দিয়েছি শ্রবণ ও দৃষ্টিশক্তিসম্পন্ন।
[2] Verily, We have created man from Nutfah (drops) of mixed semen (sexual discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer and seer.

[3] إِنّا هَدَينٰهُ السَّبيلَ إِمّا شاكِرًا وَإِمّا كَفورًا
[3] আমি তাকে পথ দেখিয়ে দিয়েছি। এখন সে হয় কৃতজ্ঞ হয়, না হয় অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়।
[3] Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

[4] إِنّا أَعتَدنا لِلكٰفِرينَ سَلٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغلٰلًا وَسَعيرًا
[4] আমি অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্যে প্রস্তুত রেখেছি শিকল, বেড়ি ও প্রজ্বলিত অগ্নি।
[4] Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire.

[5] إِنَّ الأَبرارَ يَشرَبونَ مِن كَأسٍ كانَ مِزاجُها كافورًا
[5] নিশ্চয়ই সৎকর্মশীলরা পান করবে কাফুর মিশ্রিত পানপাত্র।
[5] Verily, the Abrâr (the pious and righteous) shall drink of a cup (of wine) mixed with (water from a spring in Paradise called) Kâfûr.

[6] عَينًا يَشرَبُ بِها عِبادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرونَها تَفجيرًا
[6] এটা একটা ঝরণা, যা থেকে আল্লাহর বান্দাগণ পান করবে-তারা একে প্রবাহিত করবে।
[6] A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allâh will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly.

[7] يوفونَ بِالنَّذرِ وَيَخافونَ يَومًا كانَ شَرُّهُ مُستَطيرًا
[7] তারা মান্নত পূর্ণ করে এবং সেদিনকে ভয় করে, যেদিনের অনিষ্ট হবে সুদূরপ্রসারী।
[7] They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading.

[8] وَيُطعِمونَ الطَّعامَ عَلىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسكينًا وَيَتيمًا وَأَسيرًا
[8] তারা আল্লাহর প্রেমে অভাবগ্রস্ত, এতীম ও বন্দীকে আহার্য দান করে।
[8] And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (the poor), the orphan, and the captive,

[9] إِنَّما نُطعِمُكُم لِوَجهِ اللَّهِ لا نُريدُ مِنكُم جَزاءً وَلا شُكورًا
[9] তারা বলেঃ কেবল আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির জন্যে আমরা তোমাদেরকে আহার্য দান করি এবং তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান ও কৃতজ্ঞতা কামনা করি না।
[9] (Saying): “We feed you seeking Allâh’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.

[10] إِنّا نَخافُ مِن رَبِّنا يَومًا عَبوسًا قَمطَريرًا
[10] আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তার তরফ থেকে এক ভীতিপ্রদ ভয়ংকর দিনের ভয় রাখি।
[10] “Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislike to it).”

[11] فَوَقىٰهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذٰلِكَ اليَومِ وَلَقّىٰهُم نَضرَةً وَسُرورًا
[11] অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে সেদিনের অনিষ্ট থেকে রক্ষা করবেন এবং তাদেরকে দিবেন সজীবতা ও আনন্দ।
[11] So Allâh saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadhrah (a light of beauty) and joy.
