[28] لا تُبقى وَلا تَذَرُ
[28] এটা অক্ষত রাখবে না এবং ছাড়বেও না।
[28] It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)!

[29] لَوّاحَةٌ لِلبَشَرِ
[29] মানুষকে দগ্ধ করবে।
[29] Burning and blackening the skins!

[30] عَلَيها تِسعَةَ عَشَرَ
[30] এর উপর নিয়োজিত আছে উনিশ (ফেরেশতা)।
[30] Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell).

[31] وَما جَعَلنا أَصحٰبَ النّارِ إِلّا مَلٰئِكَةً ۙ وَما جَعَلنا عِدَّتَهُم إِلّا فِتنَةً لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا لِيَستَيقِنَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ وَيَزدادَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا إيمٰنًا ۙ وَلا يَرتابَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ وَالمُؤمِنونَ ۙ وَلِيَقولَ الَّذينَ فى قُلوبِهِم مَرَضٌ وَالكٰفِرونَ ماذا أَرادَ اللَّهُ بِهٰذا مَثَلًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَن يَشاءُ وَيَهدى مَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَما يَعلَمُ جُنودَ رَبِّكَ إِلّا هُوَ ۚ وَما هِىَ إِلّا ذِكرىٰ لِلبَشَرِ
[31] আমি জাহান্নামের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক ফেরেশতাই রেখেছি। আমি কাফেরদেরকে পরীক্ষা করার জন্যেই তার এই সংখ্যা করেছি-যাতে কিতাবীরা দৃঢ়বিশ্বাসী হয়, মুমিনদের ঈমান বৃদ্ধি পায় এবং কিতাবীরা ও মুমিনগণ সন্দেহ পোষণ না করে এবং যাতে যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, তারা এবং কাফেররা বলে যে, আল্লাহ এর দ্বারা কি বোঝাতে চেয়েছেন। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথভ্রষ্ট করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে চালান। আপনার পালনকর্তার বাহিনী সম্পর্কে একমাত্র তিনিই জানেন এটা তো মানুষের জন্যে উপদেশ বৈ নয়।
[31] And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur’ân is the truth as it agrees with their Books regarding their number (19) which is written in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and that the believers may increase in Faith (as this Qur’ân is the truth) and that no doubt may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: “What Allâh intends by this (curious) example ?” Thus Allâh leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind.

[32] كَلّا وَالقَمَرِ
[32] কখনই নয়। চন্দ্রের শপথ,
[32] Nay, And by the moon,

[33] وَالَّيلِ إِذ أَدبَرَ
[33] শপথ রাত্রির যখন তার অবসান হয়,
[33] And by the night when it withdraws,

[34] وَالصُّبحِ إِذا أَسفَرَ
[34] শপথ প্রভাতকালের যখন তা আলোকোদ্ভাসিত হয়,
[34] And by the dawn when it brightens,

[35] إِنَّها لَإِحدَى الكُبَرِ
[35] নিশ্চয় জাহান্নাম গুরুতর বিপদসমূহের অন্যতম,
[35] Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW , or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest (signs).

[36] نَذيرًا لِلبَشَرِ
[36] মানুষের জন্যে সতর্ককারী।
[36] A warning to mankind —

[37] لِمَن شاءَ مِنكُم أَن يَتَقَدَّمَ أَو يَتَأَخَّرَ
[37] তোমাদের মধ্যে যে সামনে অগ্রসর হয় অথবা পশ্চাতে থাকে।
[37] To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins),

[38] كُلُّ نَفسٍ بِما كَسَبَت رَهينَةٌ
[38] প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি তার কৃতকর্মের জন্য দায়ী;
[38] Every person is a pledge for what he has earned,

[39] إِلّا أَصحٰبَ اليَمينِ
[39] কিন্তু ডানদিকস্থরা,
[39] Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islâmic Monotheism);

[40] فى جَنّٰتٍ يَتَساءَلونَ
[40] তারা থাকবে জান্নাতে এবং পরস্পরে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
[40] In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another,

[41] عَنِ المُجرِمينَ
[41] অপরাধীদের সম্পর্কে
[41] About Al-Mujrimûn (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers), (And they will say to them):

[42] ما سَلَكَكُم فى سَقَرَ
[42] বলবেঃ তোমাদেরকে কিসে জাহান্নামে নীত করেছে?
[42] “What has caused you to enter Hell?”

[43] قالوا لَم نَكُ مِنَ المُصَلّينَ
[43] তারা বলবেঃ আমরা নামায পড়তাম না,
[43] They will say: “We were not of those who used to offer the Salât (prayers)

[44] وَلَم نَكُ نُطعِمُ المِسكينَ
[44] অভাবগ্রস্তকে আহার্য্য দিতাম না,
[44] “Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor);

[45] وَكُنّا نَخوضُ مَعَ الخائِضينَ
[45] আমরা সমালোচকদের সাথে সমালোচনা করতাম।
[45] “And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allâh hated) with vain talkers

[46] وَكُنّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَومِ الدّينِ
[46] এবং আমরা প্রতিফল দিবসকে অস্বীকার করতাম।
[46] “And we used to belie the Day of Recompense

[47] حَتّىٰ أَتىٰنَا اليَقينُ
[47] আমাদের মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত।
[47] “Until there came to us (the death) that is certain.”
