[48] فَما تَنفَعُهُم شَفٰعَةُ الشّٰفِعينَ
[48] অতএব, সুপারিশকারীদের সুপারিশ তাদের কোন উপকারে আসবে না।
[48] So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them

[49] فَما لَهُم عَنِ التَّذكِرَةِ مُعرِضينَ
[49] তাদের কি হল যে, তারা উপদেশ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়?
[49] Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the polythesists the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition?

[50] كَأَنَّهُم حُمُرٌ مُستَنفِرَةٌ
[50] যেন তারা ইতস্ততঃ বিক্ষিপ্ত গর্দভ।
[50] As if they were (frightened) wild donkeys.

[51] فَرَّت مِن قَسوَرَةٍ
[51] হট্টগোলের কারণে পলায়নপর।
[51] Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey.

[52] بَل يُريدُ كُلُّ امرِئٍ مِنهُم أَن يُؤتىٰ صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةً
[52] বরং তাদের প্রত্যেকেই চায় তাদের প্রত্যেককে একটি উম্মুক্ত গ্রন্থ দেয়া হোক।
[52] Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allâh with a writing that Islâm is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allâh the Lord of the heavens and earth).

[53] كَلّا ۖ بَل لا يَخافونَ الءاخِرَةَ
[53] কখনও না, বরং তারা পরকালকে ভয় করে না।
[53] Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allâh’s punishment).

[54] كَلّا إِنَّهُ تَذكِرَةٌ
[54] কখনও না, এটা তো উপদেশ মাত্র।
[54] Nay, verily, this (Qur’ân) is an admonition.

[55] فَمَن شاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
[55] অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, সে একে স্মরণ করুক।
[55] So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)!

[56] وَما يَذكُرونَ إِلّا أَن يَشاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهلُ التَّقوىٰ وَأَهلُ المَغفِرَةِ
[56] তারা স্মরণ করবে না, কিন্তু যদি আল্লাহ চান। তিনিই ভয়ের যোগ্য এবং ক্ষমার অধিকারী।
[56] And they will not receive admonition unless Allâh wills; He (Allâh) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilâh (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] لا أُقسِمُ بِيَومِ القِيٰمَةِ
[1] আমি শপথ করি কেয়ামত দিবসের,
[1] I swear by the Day of Resurrection;

[2] وَلا أُقسِمُ بِالنَّفسِ اللَّوّامَةِ
[2] আরও শপথ করি সেই মনের, যে নিজেকে ধিক্কার দেয়-
[2] And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer).

[3] أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسٰنُ أَلَّن نَجمَعَ عِظامَهُ
[3] মানুষ কি মনে করে যে আমি তার অস্থিসমূহ একত্রিত করব না?
[3] Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones?

[4] بَلىٰ قٰدِرينَ عَلىٰ أَن نُسَوِّىَ بَنانَهُ
[4] পরন্ত আমি তার অংগুলিগুলো পর্যন্ত সঠিকভাবে সন্নিবেশিত করতে সক্ষম।
[4] Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.

[5] بَل يُريدُ الإِنسٰنُ لِيَفجُرَ أَمامَهُ
[5] বরং মানুষ তার ভবিষ্যত জীবনেও ধৃষ্টতা করতে চায়
[5] Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So he) desires to continue committing sins.

[6] يَسـَٔلُ أَيّانَ يَومُ القِيٰمَةِ
[6] সে প্রশ্ন করে-কেয়ামত দিবস কবে?
[6] He asks: “When will be this Day of Resurrection?”

[7] فَإِذا بَرِقَ البَصَرُ
[7] যখন দৃষ্টি চমকে যাবে,
[7] So, when the sight shall be dazed,

[8] وَخَسَفَ القَمَرُ
[8] চন্দ্র জ্যোতিহীন হয়ে যাবে।
[8] And the moon will be eclipsed,

[9] وَجُمِعَ الشَّمسُ وَالقَمَرُ
[9] এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে একত্রিত করা হবে-
[9] And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light).

[10] يَقولُ الإِنسٰنُ يَومَئِذٍ أَينَ المَفَرُّ
[10] সে দিন মানুষ বলবেঃ পলায়নের জায়গা কোথায় ?
[10] On that Day man will say: “Where (is the refuge) to flee?”

[11] كَلّا لا وَزَرَ
[11] না কোথাও আশ্রয়স্থল নেই।
[11] No! There is no refuge!
