[12] إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المُستَقَرُّ
[12] আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছেই সেদিন ঠাঁই হবে।
[12] Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day.

[13] يُنَبَّؤُا۟ الإِنسٰنُ يَومَئِذٍ بِما قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
[13] সেদিন মানুষকে অবহিত করা হবে সে যা সামনে প্রেরণ করেছে ও পশ্চাতে ছেড়ে দিয়েছে।
[13] On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions).

[14] بَلِ الإِنسٰنُ عَلىٰ نَفسِهِ بَصيرَةٌ
[14] বরং মানুষ নিজেই তার নিজের সম্পর্কে চক্ষুমান।
[14] Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds].

[15] وَلَو أَلقىٰ مَعاذيرَهُ
[15] যদিও সে তার অজুহাত পেশ করতে চাইবে।
[15] Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds).

[16] لا تُحَرِّك بِهِ لِسانَكَ لِتَعجَلَ بِهِ
[16] তাড়াতাড়ি শিখে নেয়ার জন্যে আপনি দ্রুত ওহী আবৃত্তি করবেন না।
[16] Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur’ân, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith.

[17] إِنَّ عَلَينا جَمعَهُ وَقُرءانَهُ
[17] এর সংরক্ষণ ও পাঠ আমারই দায়িত্ব।
[17] It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Qur’ân),

[18] فَإِذا قَرَأنٰهُ فَاتَّبِع قُرءانَهُ
[18] অতঃপর আমি যখন তা পাঠ করি, তখন আপনি সেই পাঠের অনুসরণ করুন।
[18] And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibril (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Qur’ân’s) recital.

[19] ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَينا بَيانَهُ
[19] এরপর বিশদ বর্ণনা আমারই দায়িত্ব।
[19] Then it is for Us (Allâh) to make it clear (to you).

[20] كَلّا بَل تُحِبّونَ العاجِلَةَ
[20] কখনও না, বরং তোমরা পার্থিব জীবনকে ভালবাস
[20] Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but you (men) love the present life of this world,

[21] وَتَذَرونَ الءاخِرَةَ
[21] এবং পরকালকে উপেক্ষা কর।
[21] And neglect the Hereafter.

[22] وُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ ناضِرَةٌ
[22] সেদিন অনেক মুখমন্ডল উজ্জ্বল হবে।
[22] Some faces that Day shall be Nâdirah (shining and radiant).

[23] إِلىٰ رَبِّها ناظِرَةٌ
[23] তারা তার পালনকর্তার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকবে।
[23] Looking at their Lord (Allâh);

[24] وَوُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ باسِرَةٌ
[24] আর অনেক মুখমন্ডল সেদিন উদাস হয়ে পড়বে।
[24] And some faces, that Day, will be Bâsirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad),

[25] تَظُنُّ أَن يُفعَلَ بِها فاقِرَةٌ
[25] তারা ধারণা করবে যে, তাদের সাথে কোমর-ভাঙ্গা আচরণ করা হবে।
[25] Thinking that some calamity is about to fall on them;

[26] كَلّا إِذا بَلَغَتِ التَّراقِىَ
[26] কখনও না, যখন প্রাণ কন্ঠাগত হবে।
[26] Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),

[27] وَقيلَ مَن ۜ راقٍ
[27] এবং বলা হবে, কে ঝাড়বে
[27] And it will be said: “Who can cure him (and save him from death)?”

[28] وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الفِراقُ
[28] এবং সে মনে করবে যে, বিদায়ের ক্ষণ এসে গেছে।
[28] And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of parting (death);

[29] وَالتَفَّتِ السّاقُ بِالسّاقِ
[29] এবং গোছা গোছার সাথে জড়িত হয়ে যাবে।
[29] And one leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)

[30] إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المَساقُ
[30] সেদিন, আপনার পালনকর্তার নিকট সবকিছু নীত হবে।
[30] The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allâh)!

[31] فَلا صَدَّقَ وَلا صَلّىٰ
[31] সে বিশ্বাস করেনি এবং নামায পড়েনি;
[31] So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Qur’ân, and in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed!
