[6] أَسكِنوهُنَّ مِن حَيثُ سَكَنتُم مِن وُجدِكُم وَلا تُضارّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقوا عَلَيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِن كُنَّ أُولٰتِ حَملٍ فَأَنفِقوا عَلَيهِنَّ حَتّىٰ يَضَعنَ حَملَهُنَّ ۚ فَإِن أَرضَعنَ لَكُم فَـٔاتوهُنَّ أُجورَهُنَّ ۖ وَأتَمِروا بَينَكُم بِمَعروفٍ ۖ وَإِن تَعاسَرتُم فَسَتُرضِعُ لَهُ أُخرىٰ
[6] তোমরা তোমাদের সামর্থø অনুযায়ী যেরূপ গৃহে বাস কর, তাদেরকেও বসবাসের জন্যে সেরূপ গৃহ দাও। তাদেরকে কষ্ট দিয়ে সংকটাপন্ন করো না। যদি তারা গর্ভবতী হয়, তবে সন্তানপ্রসব পর্যন্ত তাদের ব্যয়ভার বহন করবে। যদি তারা তোমাদের সন্তানদেরকে স্তন্যদান করে, তবে তাদেরকে প্রাপ্য পারিশ্রমিক দেবে এবং এ সম্পর্কে পরস্পর সংযতভাবে পরামর্শ করবে। তোমরা যদি পরস্পর জেদ কর, তবে অন্য নারী স্তন্যদান করবে।
[6] Lodge them (the divorced women) where you dwell, according to your means, and do not harm them so as to straiten them (that they be obliged to leave your house). And if they are pregnant, then spend on them till they laydown their burden. Then if they give suck to the children for you, give them their due payment, and let each of you accept the advice of the other in a just way. But if you make difficulties for one another, then some other woman may give suck for him (the father of the child).

[7] لِيُنفِق ذو سَعَةٍ مِن سَعَتِهِ ۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيهِ رِزقُهُ فَليُنفِق مِمّا ءاتىٰهُ اللَّهُ ۚ لا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفسًا إِلّا ما ءاتىٰها ۚ سَيَجعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعدَ عُسرٍ يُسرًا
[7] বিত্তশালী ব্যক্তি তার বিত্ত অনুযায়ী ব্যয় করবে। যে ব্যক্তি সীমিত পরিমাণে রিযিকপ্রাপ্ত, সে আল্লাহ যা দিয়েছেন, তা থেকে ব্যয় করবে। আল্লাহ যাকে যা দিয়েছেন, তদপেক্ষা বেশী ব্যয় করার আদেশ কাউকে করেন না। আল্লাহ কষ্টের পর সুখ দেবেন।
[7] Let the rich man spend according to his means, and the man whose resources are restricted, let him spend according to what Allâh has given him. Allâh puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. Allâh will grant after hardship, ease.

[8] وَكَأَيِّن مِن قَريَةٍ عَتَت عَن أَمرِ رَبِّها وَرُسُلِهِ فَحاسَبنٰها حِسابًا شَديدًا وَعَذَّبنٰها عَذابًا نُكرًا
[8] অনেক জনপদ তাদের পালনকর্তা ও তাঁর রসূলগণের আদেশ অমান্য করেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে কঠোর হিসাবে ধৃত করেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম।
[8] And many a town (population) revolted against the Command of its Lord and His Messengers, and We called it to a severe account (i.e. torment in this worldly life), and we shall punish it with a horrible torment (in Hell, in the Hereafter).

[9] فَذاقَت وَبالَ أَمرِها وَكانَ عٰقِبَةُ أَمرِها خُسرًا
[9] অতঃপর তাদের কর্মের শাস্তি আস্বাদন করল এবং তাদের কর্মের পরিণাম ক্ষতিই ছিল।
[9] So it tasted the evil result of its affair (disbelief), and the consequence of its affair (disbelief) was loss (destruction in this life and an eternal punishment in the Hereafter).

[10] أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم عَذابًا شَديدًا ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يٰأُولِى الأَلبٰبِ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا ۚ قَد أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيكُم ذِكرًا
[10] আল্লাহ তাদের জন্যে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি প্রস্তত রেখেছেন অতএব, হে বুদ্ধিমানগণ, যারা ঈমান এনেছ, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি উপদেশ নাযিল করেছেন।
[10] Allâh has prepared for them a severe torment. So fear Allâh and keep your duty to Him, O men of understanding — who have believed! – Allâh has indeed sent down to you a Reminder (this Qur’ân).

[11] رَسولًا يَتلوا عَلَيكُم ءايٰتِ اللَّهِ مُبَيِّنٰتٍ لِيُخرِجَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ إِلَى النّورِ ۚ وَمَن يُؤمِن بِاللَّهِ وَيَعمَل صٰلِحًا يُدخِلهُ جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ قَد أَحسَنَ اللَّهُ لَهُ رِزقًا
[11] একজন রসূল, যিনি তোমাদের কাছে আল্লাহর সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করেন, যাতে বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্ধকার থেকে আলোতে আনয়ন করেন। যে আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তিনি তাকে দাখিল করবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাকে উত্তম রিযিক দেবেন।
[11] (And has also sent to you) a Messenger (Muhammad SAW), who recites to you the Verses of Allâh (the Qur’ân) containing clear explanations, that He may take out, those who believe and do righteous good deeds from the darkness (of polytheism and disbelief) to the light (of Islamic Monotheism). And whosoever believes in Allâh and performs righteous good deeds, He will admit him into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. Allâh has indeed granted for him an excellent provision.

[12] اللَّهُ الَّذى خَلَقَ سَبعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ وَمِنَ الأَرضِ مِثلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الأَمرُ بَينَهُنَّ لِتَعلَموا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَد أَحاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عِلمًا
[12] আল্লাহ সপ্তাকাশ সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং পৃথিবীও সেই পরিমাণে, এসবের মধ্যে তাঁর আদেশ অবতীর্ণ হয়, যাতে তোমরা জানতে পার যে, আল্লাহ সর্বশক্তিমান এবং সবকিছু তাঁর গোচরীভূত।
[12] It is Allâh Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allâh has power over all things, and that Allâh surrounds all things in (His) Knowledge.

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] يٰأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ ما أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبتَغى مَرضاتَ أَزوٰجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ
[1] হে নবী, আল্লাহ আপনার জন্যে যা হালাল করছেন, আপনি আপনার স্ত্রীদেরকে খুশী করার জন্যে তা নিজের জন্যে হারাম করেছেন কেন? আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, দয়াময়।
[1] O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allâh has allowed to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[2] قَد فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُم تَحِلَّةَ أَيمٰنِكُم ۚ وَاللَّهُ مَولىٰكُم ۖ وَهُوَ العَليمُ الحَكيمُ
[2] আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্যে কসম থেকে অব্যহতি লাভের উপায় নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন। আল্লাহ তোমাদের মালিক। তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
[2] Allâh has already ordained for you (O men), the absolution from your oaths. And Allâh is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector) and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

[3] وَإِذ أَسَرَّ النَّبِىُّ إِلىٰ بَعضِ أَزوٰجِهِ حَديثًا فَلَمّا نَبَّأَت بِهِ وَأَظهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ عَرَّفَ بَعضَهُ وَأَعرَضَ عَن بَعضٍ ۖ فَلَمّا نَبَّأَها بِهِ قالَت مَن أَنبَأَكَ هٰذا ۖ قالَ نَبَّأَنِىَ العَليمُ الخَبيرُ
[3] যখন নবী তাঁর একজন স্ত্রীর কাছে একটি কথা গোপনে বললেন, অতঃপর স্ত্রী যখন তা বলে দিল এবং আল্লাহ নবীকে তা জানিয়ে দিলেন, তখন নবী সে বিষয়ে স্ত্রীকে কিছু বললেন এবং কিছু বললেন না। নবী যখন তা স্ত্রীকে বললেন, তখন স্ত্রী বললেনঃ কে আপনাকে এ সম্পর্কে অবহিত করল? নবী বললেন,ঃ যিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ওয়াকিফহাল, তিনি আমাকে অবহিত করেছেন।
[3] And (remember) when the Prophet (SAW) disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives (Hafsah), then she told it (to another i.e. ‘Aishah), and Allâh made it known to him, he informed part thereof and left a part. Then when he told her (Hafsah) thereof, she said: “Who told you this?” He said: “The All-Knower, the All-Aware (Allâh) has told me”.

[4] إِن تَتوبا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَد صَغَت قُلوبُكُما ۖ وَإِن تَظٰهَرا عَلَيهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ مَولىٰهُ وَجِبريلُ وَصٰلِحُ المُؤمِنينَ ۖ وَالمَلٰئِكَةُ بَعدَ ذٰلِكَ ظَهيرٌ
[4] তোমাদের অন্তর অন্যায়ের দিকে ঝুঁকে পড়েছে বলে যদি তোমরা উভয়ে তওবা কর, তবে ভাল কথা। আর যদি নবীর বিরুদ্ধে একে অপরকে সাহায্য কর, তবে জেনে রেখ আল্লাহ জিবরাঈল এবং সৎকর্মপরায়ণ মুমিনগণ তাঁর সহায়। উপরন্তুত ফেরেশতাগণও তাঁর সাহায্যকারী।
[4] If you two (wives of the Prophet SAW, ‘Aishah and Hafsah radhiallahu’anhu) turn in repentance to Allâh, (it will be better for you), your hearts are indeed so inclined (to oppose what the Prophet SAW likes); but if you help one another against him (Muhammad SAW), then verily, Allâh is his Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector), and Jibril (Gabriel), and the righteous among the believers, and furthermore, the angels are his helpers.

[5] عَسىٰ رَبُّهُ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبدِلَهُ أَزوٰجًا خَيرًا مِنكُنَّ مُسلِمٰتٍ مُؤمِنٰتٍ قٰنِتٰتٍ تٰئِبٰتٍ عٰبِدٰتٍ سٰئِحٰتٍ ثَيِّبٰتٍ وَأَبكارًا
[5] যদি নবী তোমাদের সকলকে পরিত্যাগ করেন, তবে সম্ভবতঃ তাঁর পালনকর্তা তাঁকে পরিবর্তে দিবেন তোমাদের চাইতে উত্তম স্ত্রী, যারা হবে আজ্ঞাবহ, ঈমানদার, নামাযী তওবাকারিণী, এবাদতকারিণী, রোযাদার, অকুমারী ও কুমারী।
[5] It may be if he divorced you (all) that his Lord will give him instead of you, wives better than you, Muslims (who submit to Allâh), believers, obedient (to Allâh), turning to Allâh in repentance, worshipping Allâh sincerely, given to fasting or emigrants (for Allâh’s sake), previously married and virgins.

[6] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا قوا أَنفُسَكُم وَأَهليكُم نارًا وَقودُهَا النّاسُ وَالحِجارَةُ عَلَيها مَلٰئِكَةٌ غِلاظٌ شِدادٌ لا يَعصونَ اللَّهَ ما أَمَرَهُم وَيَفعَلونَ ما يُؤمَرونَ
[6] মুমিনগণ, তোমরা নিজেদেরকে এবং তোমাদের পরিবার-পরিজনকে সেই অগ্নি থেকে রক্ষা কর, যার ইন্ধন হবে মানুষ ও প্রস্তর, যাতে নিয়োজিত আছে পাষাণ হৃদয়, কঠোরস্বভাব ফেরেশতাগণ। তারা আল্লাহ তা’আলা যা আদেশ করেন, তা অমান্য করে না এবং যা করতে আদেশ করা হয়, তাই করে।
[6] O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families against a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allâh, but do that which they are commanded.

[7] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ كَفَروا لا تَعتَذِرُوا اليَومَ ۖ إِنَّما تُجزَونَ ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ
[7] হে কাফের সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা আজ ওযর পেশ করো না। তোমাদেরকে তারই প্রতিফল দেয়া হবে, যা তোমরা করতে।
[7] (It will be said in the Hereafter) O you who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism)! Make no excuses this Day! You are being requited only for what you used to do.

[8] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا توبوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوبَةً نَصوحًا عَسىٰ رَبُّكُم أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَنكُم سَيِّـٔاتِكُم وَيُدخِلَكُم جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ يَومَ لا يُخزِى اللَّهُ النَّبِىَّ وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا مَعَهُ ۖ نورُهُم يَسعىٰ بَينَ أَيديهِم وَبِأَيمٰنِهِم يَقولونَ رَبَّنا أَتمِم لَنا نورَنا وَاغفِر لَنا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ
[8] মুমিনগণ! তোমরা আল্লাহ তা’আলার কাছে তওবা কর-আন্তরিক তওবা। আশা করা যায়, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা তোমাদের মন্দ কর্মসমূহ মোচন করে দেবেন এবং তোমাদেরকে দাখিল করবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। সেদিন আল্লাহ নবী এবং তাঁর বিশ্বাসী সহচরদেরকে অপদস্থ করবেন না। তাদের নূর তাদের সামনে ও ডানদিকে ছুটোছুটি করবে। তারা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদের নূরকে পূর্ণ করে দিন এবং আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি সবকিছুর উপর সর্ব শক্তিমান।
[8] O you who believe! Turn to Allâh with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will expaite from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) the Day that Allâh will not disgrace the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and those who believe with him, Their Light will run forward before them and (with their Records — Books of deeds) in their right hands They will say: “Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Sirât (a slippery bridge over the Hell) safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things .”

[9] يٰأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ جٰهِدِ الكُفّارَ وَالمُنٰفِقينَ وَاغلُظ عَلَيهِم ۚ وَمَأوىٰهُم جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئسَ المَصيرُ
[9] হে নবী! কাফের ও মুনাফিকদের বিরুদ্ধে জেহাদ করুন এবং তাদের প্রতি কঠোর হোন। তাদের ঠিকানা জাহান্নাম। সেটা কতই না নিকৃষ্ট স্থান।
[9] O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be severe against them; their abode will be Hell, and worst indeed is that destination.

[10] ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِلَّذينَ كَفَرُوا امرَأَتَ نوحٍ وَامرَأَتَ لوطٍ ۖ كانَتا تَحتَ عَبدَينِ مِن عِبادِنا صٰلِحَينِ فَخانَتاهُما فَلَم يُغنِيا عَنهُما مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيـًٔا وَقيلَ ادخُلَا النّارَ مَعَ الدّٰخِلينَ
[10] আল্লাহ তা’আলা কাফেরদের জন্যে নূহ-পত্নী ও লূত-পত্নীর দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন। তারা ছিল আমার দুই ধর্মপরায়ণ বান্দার গৃহে। অতঃপর তারা তাদের সাথে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করল। ফলে নূহ ও লূত তাদেরকে আল্লাহ তা’আলার কবল থেকে রক্ষা করতে পারল না এবং তাদেরকে বলা হলঃ জাহান্নামীদের সাথে জাহান্নামে চলে যাও।
[10] Allâh sets forth an example for those who disbelieve, the wife of Nûh (Noah) and the wife of Lut (Lot). They were under two of our righteous slaves, but they both betrayed them (their husbands by rejecting their doctrine) So they [Nûh (Noah) and Lut (Lot) A.S.] availed them (their respective wives) not, against Allâh, and it was said: “Enter the Fire along with those who enter!”

[11] وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِلَّذينَ ءامَنُوا امرَأَتَ فِرعَونَ إِذ قالَت رَبِّ ابنِ لى عِندَكَ بَيتًا فِى الجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنى مِن فِرعَونَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنى مِنَ القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ
[11] আল্লাহ তা’আলা মুমিনদের জন্যে ফেরাউন-পত্নীর দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন। সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আপনার সন্নিকটে জান্নাতে আমার জন্যে একটি গৃহ নির্মাণ করুন, আমাকে ফেরাউন ও তার দুস্কর্ম থেকে উদ্ধার করুন এবং আমাকে যালেম সম্প্রদায় থেকে মুক্তি দিন।
[11] And Allâh has set forth an example for those who believe; the wife of Fir’aun (Pharaoh), when she said: “My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise, and save me from Fir’aun (Pharaoh) and his work, and save me from the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in Allâh).

[12] وَمَريَمَ ابنَتَ عِمرٰنَ الَّتى أَحصَنَت فَرجَها فَنَفَخنا فيهِ مِن روحِنا وَصَدَّقَت بِكَلِمٰتِ رَبِّها وَكُتُبِهِ وَكانَت مِنَ القٰنِتينَ
[12] আর দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন এমরান-তনয়া মরিয়মের, যে তার সতীত্ব বজায় রেখেছিল। অতঃপর আমি তার মধ্যে আমার পক্ষ থেকে জীবন ফুঁকে দিয়েছিলাম এবং সে তার পালনকর্তার বানী ও কিতাবকে সত্যে পরিণত করেছিল। সে ছিল বিনয় প্রকাশকারীনীদের একজন।
[12] And Maryam (Mary), the daughter of ‘Imrân who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Rûh [i.e. Jibril (Gabriel)], and she testified to the truth of the Words of her Lord

[i.e. believed in the Words of Allâh: "Be!" and he was; that is ‘Īsā
(Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary) as a Messenger of Allâh]

, and (also believed in) His Scriptures, and she was of the Qanitun (i.e. obedient to Allâh).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] تَبٰرَكَ الَّذى بِيَدِهِ المُلكُ وَهُوَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ
[1] পূণ্যময় তিনি, যাঁর হাতে রাজত্ব। তিনি সবকিছুর উপর সর্বশক্তিমান।
[1] Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things.
