[8] وَكَأَيِّن مِن قَريَةٍ عَتَت عَن أَمرِ رَبِّها وَرُسُلِهِ
فَحاسَبنٰها حِسابًا شَديدًا وَعَذَّبنٰها عَذابًا نُكرًا
[8] অনেক জনপদ তাদের পালনকর্তা ও তাঁর রসূলগণের আদেশ অমান্য করেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে কঠোর হিসাবে ধৃত করেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম।
[8] And many a town (population) revolted against the Command of its Lord and
His Messengers, and We called it to a severe account (i.e. torment in this
worldly life), and we shall punish it with a horrible torment (in Hell, in the
Hereafter).
