[22] أَفَمَن يَمشى مُكِبًّا عَلىٰ وَجهِهِ أَهدىٰ أَمَّن يَمشى سَوِيًّا عَلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ
[22] যে ব্যক্তি উপুড় হয়ে মুখে ভর দিয়ে চলে, সে-ই কি সৎ পথে চলে, না সে ব্যক্তি যে সোজা হয়ে সরলপথে চলে?
[22] Is he who walks (without seeing) on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks upright on a Straight Way (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism)?

[23] قُل هُوَ الَّذى أَنشَأَكُم وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمعَ وَالأَبصٰرَ وَالأَفـِٔدَةَ ۖ قَليلًا ما تَشكُرونَ
[23] বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং দিয়েছেন কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও অন্তর। তোমরা অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
[23] Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts. Little thanks you give.

[24] قُل هُوَ الَّذى ذَرَأَكُم فِى الأَرضِ وَإِلَيهِ تُحشَرونَ
[24] বলুন, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাঁরই কাছে তোমরা সমবেত হবে।
[24] Say: “It is He Who has created you from the earth, and to Him shall you be gathered (in the Hereafter).”

[25] وَيَقولونَ مَتىٰ هٰذَا الوَعدُ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[25] কাফেররা বলেঃ এই প্রতিশ্রুতি কবে হবে, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও?
[25] They say: “When will this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) come to pass if you are telling the truth?”

[26] قُل إِنَّمَا العِلمُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّما أَنا۠ نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ
[26] বলুন, এর জ্ঞান আল্লাহ তা’আলার কাছেই আছে। আমি তো কেবল প্রকাশ্য সতর্ককারী।
[26] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “The knowledge (of its exact time) is with Allâh only, and I am only a plain warner.”

[27] فَلَمّا رَأَوهُ زُلفَةً سيـَٔت وُجوهُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَقيلَ هٰذَا الَّذى كُنتُم بِهِ تَدَّعونَ
[27] যখন তারা সেই প্রতিশ্রুতিকে আসন্ন দেখবে তখন কাফেরদের মুখমন্ডল মলিন হয়ে পড়বে এবং বলা হবেঃ এটাই তো তোমরা চাইতে।
[27] But when they will see it (the torment on the Day of Resurrection) approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will change and trun black with sadness and in grief and it will be said (to them): “This is (the promise) which you were calling for!”

[28] قُل أَرَءَيتُم إِن أَهلَكَنِىَ اللَّهُ وَمَن مَعِىَ أَو رَحِمَنا فَمَن يُجيرُ الكٰفِرينَ مِن عَذابٍ أَليمٍ
[28] বলুন, তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ-যদি আল্লাহ তা’আলা আমাকে ও আমার সংগীদেরকে ধ্বংস করেন অথবা আমাদের প্রতি দয়া করেন, তবে কাফেরদেরকে কে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করবে?
[28] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Tell me! If Allâh destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His Mercy on us — who can save the disbelievers from a painful torment?”

[29] قُل هُوَ الرَّحمٰنُ ءامَنّا بِهِ وَعَلَيهِ تَوَكَّلنا ۖ فَسَتَعلَمونَ مَن هُوَ فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ
[29] বলুন, তিনি পরম করুণাময়, আমরা তাতে বিশ্বাস রাখি এবং তাঁরই উপর ভরসা করি। সত্ত্বরই তোমরা জানতে পারবে, কে প্রকাশ্য পথ-ভ্রষ্টতায় আছে।
[29] Say: “He is the Most Gracious (Allâh), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will come to know who is it that is in manifest error.”

[30] قُل أَرَءَيتُم إِن أَصبَحَ ماؤُكُم غَورًا فَمَن يَأتيكُم بِماءٍ مَعينٍ
[30] বলুন, তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, যদি তোমাদের পানি ভূগর্ভের গভীরে চলে যায়, তবে কে তোমাদেরকে সরবরাহ করবে পানির স্রোতধারা?
[30] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Tell me! If (all) your water were to sink away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?”

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] ن ۚ وَالقَلَمِ وَما يَسطُرونَ
[1] নূন। শপথ কলমের এবং সেই বিষয়ের যা তারা লিপিবদ্ধ করে,
[1] Nûn [These letters (Nûn, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the pen and by what the (the angels) write (in the Records of men).

[2] ما أَنتَ بِنِعمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجنونٍ
[2] আপনার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহে আপনি উম্মাদ নন।
[2] You (O Muhammad SAW) are not, by the Grace of your Lord, a madman.

[3] وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجرًا غَيرَ مَمنونٍ
[3] আপনার জন্যে অবশ্যই রয়েছে অশেষ পুরস্কার।
[3] And verily, for you (O Muhammad SAW) will be an endless reward.

[4] وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظيمٍ
[4] আপনি অবশ্যই মহান চরিত্রের অধিকারী।
[4] And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on an exalted (standard of) character.

[5] فَسَتُبصِرُ وَيُبصِرونَ
[5] সত্ত্বরই আপনি দেখে নিবেন এবং তারাও দেখে নিবে।
[5] You will see, and they will see,

[6] بِأَييِكُمُ المَفتونُ
[6] কে তোমাদের মধ্যে বিকারগ্রস্ত।
[6] Which of you is afflicted with madness.

[7] إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعلَمُ بِالمُهتَدينَ
[7] আপনার পালনকর্তা সম্যক জানেন কে তাঁর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়েছে এবং তিনি জানেন যারা সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত।
[7] Verily, your Lord is Best Knower of him who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Knower of those who are guided.

[8] فَلا تُطِعِ المُكَذِّبينَ
[8] অতএব, আপনি মিথ্যারোপকারীদের আনুগত্য করবেন না।
[8] So (O Muhammad SAW) obey you not the deniers [(of Islâmic Monotheism those who belie the Verses of Allâh), the Oneness of Allâh, and the Messengership of Muhammad SAW].

[9] وَدّوا لَو تُدهِنُ فَيُدهِنونَ
[9] তারা চায় যদি আপনি নমনীয় হন, তবে তারাও নমনীয় হবে।
[9] They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you.

[10] وَلا تُطِع كُلَّ حَلّافٍ مَهينٍ
[10] যে অধিক শপথ করে, যে লাঞ্ছিত, আপনি তার আনুগত্য করবেন না।
[10] And (O Muhammad SAW) obey you not everyone Hallaf Mahin (the one who swears much, and is a liar or is worthless). (Tafsir At-Tabari)

[11] هَمّازٍ مَشّاءٍ بِنَميمٍ
[11] যে পশ্চাতে নিন্দা করে একের কথা অপরের নিকট লাগিয়ে ফিরে।
[11] A slanderer, going about with calumnies,
