[19] وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما عِلِّيّونَ
[19] আপনি জানেন ইল্লিয়্যীন কি?
[19] And what will make you know what ‘Illiyyûn is?

[20] كِتٰبٌ مَرقومٌ
[20] এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।
[20] A Register inscribed.

[21] يَشهَدُهُ المُقَرَّبونَ
[21] আল্লাহর নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত ফেরেশতাগণ একে প্রত্যক্ষ করে।
[21] To which bear witness those nearest (to Allâh, i.e. the angels).

[22] إِنَّ الأَبرارَ لَفى نَعيمٍ
[22] নিশ্চয় সৎলোকগণ থাকবে পরম আরামে,
[22] Verily, Al-Abrâr (the pious who fear Allâh and avoid evil) will be in Delight (Paradise).

[23] عَلَى الأَرائِكِ يَنظُرونَ
[23] সিংহাসনে বসে অবলোকন করবে।
[23] On thrones, looking (at all things).

[24] تَعرِفُ فى وُجوهِهِم نَضرَةَ النَّعيمِ
[24] আপনি তাদের মুখমন্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের সজীবতা দেখতে পাবেন।
[24] You will recognise in their faces the brightness of delight

[25] يُسقَونَ مِن رَحيقٍ مَختومٍ
[25] তাদেরকে মোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় পান করানো হবে।
[25] They will be given to drink of pure sealed wine.

[26] خِتٰمُهُ مِسكٌ ۚ وَفى ذٰلِكَ فَليَتَنافَسِ المُتَنٰفِسونَ
[26] তার মোহর হবে কস্তুরী। এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীদের প্রতিযোগিতা করা উচিত।
[26] The last thereof (that wine) will be the smell of Musk, and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allâh).

[27] وَمِزاجُهُ مِن تَسنيمٍ
[27] তার মিশ্রণ হবে তসনীমের পানি।
[27] It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnîm.

[28] عَينًا يَشرَبُ بِهَا المُقَرَّبونَ
[28] এটা একটা ঝরণা, যার পানি পান করবে নৈকট্যশীলগণ।
[28] A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allâh.

[29] إِنَّ الَّذينَ أَجرَموا كانوا مِنَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا يَضحَكونَ
[29] যারা অপরাধী, তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে উপহাস করত।
[29] Verily, (during the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

[30] وَإِذا مَرّوا بِهِم يَتَغامَزونَ
[30] এবং তারা যখন তাদের কাছ দিয়ে গমন করত তখন পরস্পরে চোখ টিপে ইশারা করত।
[30] And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery);

[31] وَإِذَا انقَلَبوا إِلىٰ أَهلِهِمُ انقَلَبوا فَكِهينَ
[31] তারা যখন তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে ফিরত, তখনও হাসাহাসি করে ফিরত।
[31] And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;

[32] وَإِذا رَأَوهُم قالوا إِنَّ هٰؤُلاءِ لَضالّونَ
[32] আর যখন তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে দেখত, তখন বলত, নিশ্চয় এরা বিভ্রান্ত।
[32] And when they saw them, they said: “Verily, these have indeed gone astray!”

[33] وَما أُرسِلوا عَلَيهِم حٰفِظينَ
[33] অথচ তারা বিশ্বাসীদের তত্ত্বাবধায়করূপে প্রেরিত হয়নি।
[33] But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers).

[34] فَاليَومَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا مِنَ الكُفّارِ يَضحَكونَ
[34] আজ যারা বিশ্বাসী, তারা কাফেরদেরকে উপহাস করছে।
[34] But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers

[35] عَلَى الأَرائِكِ يَنظُرونَ
[35] সিংহাসনে বসে, তাদেরকে অবলোকন করছে,
[35] On (high) thrones, looking (at all things).

[36] هَل ثُوِّبَ الكُفّارُ ما كانوا يَفعَلونَ
[36] কাফেররা যা করত, তার প্রতিফল পেয়েছে তো?
[36] Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do?

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] إِذَا السَّماءُ انشَقَّت
[1] যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,
[1] When the heaven is split asunder,

[2] وَأَذِنَت لِرَبِّها وَحُقَّت
[2] ও তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ পালন করবে এবং আকাশ এরই উপযুক্ত
[2] And listens to and obeys its Lord — and it must do so;
