[18] ثُمَّ ما أَدرىٰكَ ما يَومُ الدّينِ
[18] অতঃপর আপনি জানেন, বিচার দিবস কি?
[18] Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?

[19] يَومَ لا تَملِكُ نَفسٌ لِنَفسٍ شَيـًٔا ۖ وَالأَمرُ يَومَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ
[19] যেদিন কেউ কারও কোন উপকার করতে পারবে না এবং সেদিন সব কতৃêত্ব হবে আল্লাহর।
[19] (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allâh.

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] وَيلٌ لِلمُطَفِّفينَ
[1] যারা মাপে কম করে, তাদের জন্যে দুর্ভোগ,
[1] Woe to Al-Mutaffifun (those who give less in measure and weight).

[2] الَّذينَ إِذَا اكتالوا عَلَى النّاسِ يَستَوفونَ
[2] যারা লোকের কাছ থেকে যখন মেপে নেয়, তখন পূর্ণ মাত্রায় নেয়
[2] Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure,

[3] وَإِذا كالوهُم أَو وَزَنوهُم يُخسِرونَ
[3] এবং যখন লোকদেরকে মেপে দেয় কিংবা ওজন করে দেয়, তখন কম করে দেয়।
[3] And when they have to give by measure or weight to (other) men, give less than due.

[4] أَلا يَظُنُّ أُولٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَبعوثونَ
[4] তারা কি চিন্তা করে না যে, তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে।
[4] Do they not think that they will be resurrected (for reckoning),

[5] لِيَومٍ عَظيمٍ
[5] সেই মহাদিবসে,
[5] On a Great Day,

[6] يَومَ يَقومُ النّاسُ لِرَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[6] যেদিন মানুষ দাঁড়াবে বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার সামনে।
[6] The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)?

[7] كَلّا إِنَّ كِتٰبَ الفُجّارِ لَفى سِجّينٍ
[7] এটা কিছুতেই উচিত নয়, নিশ্চয় পাপাচারীদের আমলনামা সিজ্জীনে আছে।
[7] Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjâr (disbelievers, polytheists sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjîn.

[8] وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما سِجّينٌ
[8] আপনি জানেন, সিজ্জীন কি?
[8] And what will make you know what Sijjîn is?

[9] كِتٰبٌ مَرقومٌ
[9] এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।
[9] A Register inscribed.

[10] وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[10] সেদিন দুর্ভোগ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের,
[10] Woe, that Day, to those who deny.

[11] الَّذينَ يُكَذِّبونَ بِيَومِ الدّينِ
[11] যারা প্রতিফল দিবসকে মিথ্যারোপ করে।
[11] Those who deny the Day of Recompense.

[12] وَما يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلّا كُلُّ مُعتَدٍ أَثيمٍ
[12] প্রত্যেক সীমালংঘনকারী পাপিষ্ঠই কেবল একে মিথ্যারোপ করে।
[12] And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience to Allâh), the sinner!

[13] إِذا تُتلىٰ عَلَيهِ ءايٰتُنا قالَ أَسٰطيرُ الأَوَّلينَ
[13] তার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে, পুরাকালের উপকথা।
[13] When Our Verses (of the Qur’ân) are recited to him he says: “Tales of the ancients!”

[14] كَلّا ۖ بَل ۜ رانَ عَلىٰ قُلوبِهِم ما كانوا يَكسِبونَ
[14] কখনও না, বরং তারা যা করে, তাই তাদের হৃদয় মরিচা ধরিয়ে দিয়েছে।
[14] Nay! But on their hearts is the Rân (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn

[15] كَلّا إِنَّهُم عَن رَبِّهِم يَومَئِذٍ لَمَحجوبونَ
[15] কখনও না, তারা সেদিন তাদের পালনকর্তার থেকে পর্দার অন্তরালে থাকবে।
[15] Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.

[16] ثُمَّ إِنَّهُم لَصالُوا الجَحيمِ
[16] অতঃপর তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।
[16] Then, verily they will indeed enter (and taste) the burning flame of Hell.

[17] ثُمَّ يُقالُ هٰذَا الَّذى كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبونَ
[17] এরপর বলা হবে, একেই তো তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ করতে।
[17] Then, it will be said to them: “This is what you used to deny!”

[18] كَلّا إِنَّ كِتٰبَ الأَبرارِ لَفى عِلِّيّينَ
[18] কখনও না, নিশ্চয় সৎলোকদের আমলনামা আছে ইল্লিয়্যীনে।
[18] Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrâr (the pious and righteous), is (preserved) in ‘Illiyyûn.
