[32] عَسىٰ رَبُّنا أَن يُبدِلَنا خَيرًا مِنها إِنّا إِلىٰ رَبِّنا رٰغِبونَ
[32] সম্ভবতঃ আমাদের পালনকর্তা পরিবর্তে এর চাইতে উত্তম বাগান আমাদেরকে দিবেন। আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে আশাবাদী।
[32] We hope that our Lord will give us in exchange a better (garden) than this. Truly, we turn to our Lord (wishing for good that He may forgive our sins, and reward us in the Hereafter).”

[33] كَذٰلِكَ العَذابُ ۖ وَلَعَذابُ الءاخِرَةِ أَكبَرُ ۚ لَو كانوا يَعلَمونَ
[33] শাস্তি এভাবেই আসে এবং পরকালের শাস্তি আরও গুরুতর; যদি তারা জানত!
[33] Such is the punishment (in this life), but truly, the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew.

[34] إِنَّ لِلمُتَّقينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِم جَنّٰتِ النَّعيمِ
[34] মোত্তাকীদের জন্যে তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে রয়েছে নেয়ামতের জান্নাত।
[34] Verily, for the Muttaqûn (pious and righteous persons – see V.2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord.

[35] أَفَنَجعَلُ المُسلِمينَ كَالمُجرِمينَ
[35] আমি কি আজ্ঞাবহদেরকে অপরাধীদের ন্যায় গণ্য করব?
[35] Shall We then treat the Muslims (believers of Islamic Monotheism, doers of righteous deeds) like the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists and disbelievers)?

[36] ما لَكُم كَيفَ تَحكُمونَ
[36] তোমাদের কি হল ? তোমরা কেমন সিদ্ধান্ত দিচ্ছ?
[36] What is the matter with you? How judge you?

[37] أَم لَكُم كِتٰبٌ فيهِ تَدرُسونَ
[37] তোমাদের কি কোন কিতাব আছে, যা তোমরা পাঠ কর।
[37] Or have you a Book where in you learn,

[38] إِنَّ لَكُم فيهِ لَما تَخَيَّرونَ
[38] তাতে তোমরা যা পছন্দ কর, তাই পাও?
[38] That you shall therein have all that you choose?

[39] أَم لَكُم أَيمٰنٌ عَلَينا بٰلِغَةٌ إِلىٰ يَومِ القِيٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُم لَما تَحكُمونَ
[39] না তোমরা আমার কাছ থেকেকেয়ামত পর্যন্ত বলবৎ কোন শপথ নিয়েছ যে, তোমরা তাই পাবে যা তোমরা সিদ্ধান্ত করবে?
[39] Or have you oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge?

[40] سَلهُم أَيُّهُم بِذٰلِكَ زَعيمٌ
[40] আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন তাদের কে এ বিষয়ে দায়িত্বশীল?
[40] Ask them, which of them will stand surety for that!

[41] أَم لَهُم شُرَكاءُ فَليَأتوا بِشُرَكائِهِم إِن كانوا صٰدِقينَ
[41] না তাদের কোন শরীক উপাস্য আছে? থাকলে তাদের শরীক উপাস্যদেরকে উপস্থিত করুক যদি তারা সত্যবাদী হয়।
[41] Or have they “partners”? Then let them bring their “partners” if they are truthful!

[42] يَومَ يُكشَفُ عَن ساقٍ وَيُدعَونَ إِلَى السُّجودِ فَلا يَستَطيعونَ
[42] গোছা পর্যন্ত পা খোলার দিনের কথা স্মরণ কর, সেদিন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হবে, অতঃপর তারা সক্ষম হবে না।
[42] (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate themselves (to Allâh), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so.

[43] خٰشِعَةً أَبصٰرُهُم تَرهَقُهُم ذِلَّةٌ ۖ وَقَد كانوا يُدعَونَ إِلَى السُّجودِ وَهُم سٰلِمونَ
[43] তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত থাকবে; তারা লাঞ্ছনাগ্রস্ত হবে, অথচ যখন তারা সুস্থ ও স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ছিল, তখন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হত।
[43] Their eyes will be cast down and ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate themselves (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not).

[44] فَذَرنى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهٰذَا الحَديثِ ۖ سَنَستَدرِجُهُم مِن حَيثُ لا يَعلَمونَ
[44] অতএব, যারা এই কালামকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদেরকে আমার হাতে ছেড়ে দিন, আমি এমন ধীরে ধীরে তাদেরকে জাহান্নামের দিকে নিয়ে যাব যে, তারা জানতে পারবে না।
[44] Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Qur’ân. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not.

[45] وَأُملى لَهُم ۚ إِنَّ كَيدى مَتينٌ
[45] আমি তাদেরকে সময় দেই। নিশ্চয় আমার কৌশল মজবুত।
[45] And I will grant them a respite. Verily, My Plan is strong.

[46] أَم تَسـَٔلُهُم أَجرًا فَهُم مِن مَغرَمٍ مُثقَلونَ
[46] আপনি কি তাদের কাছে পারিশ্রমিক চান? ফলে তাদের উপর জরিমানার বোঝা পড়ছে?
[46] Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them a wage, so that they are heavily burdened with debt?

[47] أَم عِندَهُمُ الغَيبُ فَهُم يَكتُبونَ
[47] না তাদের কাছে গায়বের খবর আছে? অতঃপর তারা তা লিপিবদ্ধ করে।
[47] Or that the Ghaib (unseen — here in this Verse it means Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz) is in their hands, so that they can write it down?

[48] فَاصبِر لِحُكمِ رَبِّكَ وَلا تَكُن كَصاحِبِ الحوتِ إِذ نادىٰ وَهُوَ مَكظومٌ
[48] আপনি আপনার পালনকর্তার আদেশের অপেক্ষায় সবর করুন এবং মাছওয়ালা ইউনুসের মত হবেন না, যখন সে দুঃখাকুল মনে প্রার্থনা করেছিল।
[48] So wait with patience for the Decision of your Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish — when he cried out (to Us) while he was in deep sorrow. (See the Qur’ân, Verse 21:87).

[49] لَولا أَن تَدٰرَكَهُ نِعمَةٌ مِن رَبِّهِ لَنُبِذَ بِالعَراءِ وَهُوَ مَذمومٌ
[49] যদি তার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ তাকে সামাল না দিত, তবে সে নিন্দিত অবস্থায় জনশুন্য প্রান্তরে নিক্ষিপ্ত হত।
[49] Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the naked shore, while he was to be blamed.

[50] فَاجتَبٰهُ رَبُّهُ فَجَعَلَهُ مِنَ الصّٰلِحينَ
[50] অতঃপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে মনোনীত করলেন এবং তাকে সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে নিলেন।
[50] Then his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.

[51] وَإِن يَكادُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لَيُزلِقونَكَ بِأَبصٰرِهِم لَمّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكرَ وَيَقولونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجنونٌ
[51] কাফেররা যখন কোরআন শুনে, তখন তারা তাদের দৃষ্টি দ্বারা যেন আপনাকে আছাড় দিয়ে ফেলে দিবে এবং তারা বলেঃ সে তো একজন পাগল।
[51] And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred) when they hear the Reminder (the Qur’ân), and they say: “Verily, he (Muhammad SAW) is a madman!”
