[31] وَما أَنتُم بِمُعجِزينَ فِى الأَرضِ ۖ وَما لَكُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلا نَصيرٍ
[31] তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পলায়ন করে আল্লাহকে অক্ষম করতে পার না এবং আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন কার্যনির্বাহী নেই, সাহায্যকারীও নেই।
[31] And you cannot escape from Allâh (i.e. His Punishment) in the earth, and besides Allâh you have neither any Walî (guardian or a protector helper) nor any helper.

[32] وَمِن ءايٰتِهِ الجَوارِ فِى البَحرِ كَالأَعلٰمِ
[32] সমুদ্রে ভাসমান পর্বতসম জাহাজসমূহ তাঁর অন্যতম নিদর্শন।
[32] And among His Signs are the ships, in the sea, like mountains.

[33] إِن يَشَأ يُسكِنِ الرّيحَ فَيَظلَلنَ رَواكِدَ عَلىٰ ظَهرِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايٰتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبّارٍ شَكورٍ
[33] তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে বাতাসকে থামিয়ে দেন। তখন জাহাজসমূহ সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠে নিশ্চল হয়ে পড়ে যেন পাহাড়। নিশ্চয় এতে প্রত্যেক সবরকারী, কৃতজ্ঞের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
[33] If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back (of the sea). Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

[34] أَو يوبِقهُنَّ بِما كَسَبوا وَيَعفُ عَن كَثيرٍ
[34] অথবা তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে সেগুলোকে ধ্বংস করে দেন এবং অনেককে ক্ষমাও করে দেন।
[34] Or He may destroy them (by shipcoreck) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much.

[35] وَيَعلَمَ الَّذينَ يُجٰدِلونَ فى ءايٰتِنا ما لَهُم مِن مَحيصٍ
[35] এবং যারা আমার ক্ষমতা সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে, তারা যেন জানে যে, তাদের কোন পলায়নের জায়গা নেই।
[35] And those who dispute (polytheists, with Our Messenger Muhammad SAW) as regards Our Ayât (proofs, signs, verses, etc. of Islâmic Monotheism) may know that there is no place of refuge for them (from Allâh’s punishment). (Tafsir At Tabari)

[36] فَما أوتيتُم مِن شَيءٍ فَمَتٰعُ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۖ وَما عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيرٌ وَأَبقىٰ لِلَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَلىٰ رَبِّهِم يَتَوَكَّلونَ
[36] অতএব, তোমাদেরকে যা দেয়া হয়েছে তা পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ মাত্র। আর আল্লাহর কাছে যা রয়েছে, তা উৎকৃষ্ট ও স্থায়ী তাদের জন্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও তাদের পালনকর্তার উপর ভরসা করে।
[36] So whatever you have been given is but (a passing) enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allâh (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs)

[37] وَالَّذينَ يَجتَنِبونَ كَبٰئِرَ الإِثمِ وَالفَوٰحِشَ وَإِذا ما غَضِبوا هُم يَغفِرونَ
[37] যারা বড় গোনাহ ও অশ্লীল কার্য থেকে বেঁচে থাকে এবং ক্রোধাম্বিত হয়েও ক্ষমা করে,
[37] And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawâhish (illegal sexual intercourse), and when they are angry, forgive

[38] وَالَّذينَ استَجابوا لِرَبِّهِم وَأَقامُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَأَمرُهُم شورىٰ بَينَهُم وَمِمّا رَزَقنٰهُم يُنفِقونَ
[38] যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ মান্য করে, নামায কায়েম করে; পারস্পরিক পরামর্শক্রমে কাজ করে এবং আমি তাদেরকে যে রিযিক দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে,
[38] And those who answer the Call of their Lord [i.e. to believe that He is the only One Lord (Allâh), and to worship none but Him Alone], and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them;

[39] وَالَّذينَ إِذا أَصابَهُمُ البَغىُ هُم يَنتَصِرونَ
[39] যারা আক্রান্ত হলে প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করে।
[39] And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, take revenge

[40] وَجَزٰؤُا۟ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثلُها ۖ فَمَن عَفا وَأَصلَحَ فَأَجرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الظّٰلِمينَ
[40] আর মন্দের প্রতিফল তো অনুরূপ মন্দই। যে ক্ষমা করে ও আপোষ করে তার পুরস্কার আল্লাহর কাছে রয়েছে; নিশ্চয় তিনি অত্যাচারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন নাই।
[40] The recompense for an evil is an evil like thereof, but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allâh. Verily, He likes not the Zâlimûn (oppressors, polytheists, and wrong-doers).

[41] وَلَمَنِ انتَصَرَ بَعدَ ظُلمِهِ فَأُولٰئِكَ ما عَلَيهِم مِن سَبيلٍ
[41] নিশ্চয় যে অত্যাচারিত হওয়ার পর প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করে, তাদের বিরুদ্ধেও কোন অভিযোগ নেই।
[41] And indeed whosoever takes revenge after he has suffered wrong, for such there is no way (of blame) against them

[42] إِنَّمَا السَّبيلُ عَلَى الَّذينَ يَظلِمونَ النّاسَ وَيَبغونَ فِى الأَرضِ بِغَيرِ الحَقِّ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ لَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ
[42] অভিযোগ কেবল তাদের বিরুদ্ধে, যারা মানুষের উপর অত্যাচার চালায় এবং পৃথিবীতে অন্যায়ভাবে বিদ্রোহ করে বেড়ায়। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।
[42] The way (of blame) is only against those who oppress men and rebel in the earth, without justification for such there will be a painful torment.

[43] وَلَمَن صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمِن عَزمِ الأُمورِ
[43] অবশ্যই যে সবর করে ও ক্ষমা করে নিশ্চয় এটা সাহসিকতার কাজ।
[43] And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allâh.

[44] وَمَن يُضلِلِ اللَّهُ فَما لَهُ مِن وَلِىٍّ مِن بَعدِهِ ۗ وَتَرَى الظّٰلِمينَ لَمّا رَأَوُا العَذابَ يَقولونَ هَل إِلىٰ مَرَدٍّ مِن سَبيلٍ
[44] আল্লাহ যাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেন, তার জন্যে তিনি ব্যতীত কোন কার্যনির্বাহী নেই। পাপাচারীরা যখন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, তখন আপনি তাদেরকে দেখবেন যে, তারা বলছে আমাদের ফিরে যাওয়ার কোন উপায় আছে কি?
[44] And whomsoever Allâh sends astray, for him there is no Walî (protector, helper, guardian) after Him. And you will see the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors) when they behold the torment, they will say: “Is there any way of return (to the world)?”

[45] وَتَرىٰهُم يُعرَضونَ عَلَيها خٰشِعينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنظُرونَ مِن طَرفٍ خَفِىٍّ ۗ وَقالَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا إِنَّ الخٰسِرينَ الَّذينَ خَسِروا أَنفُسَهُم وَأَهليهِم يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ ۗ أَلا إِنَّ الظّٰلِمينَ فى عَذابٍ مُقيمٍ
[45] জাহান্নামের সামনে উপস্থিত করার সময় আপনি তাদেরকে দেখবেন, অপমানে অবনত এবং অর্ধ নিমীলিত দৃষ্টিতে তাকায়। মুমিনরা বলবে, কেয়ামতের দিন ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত তারাই, যারা নিজেদের ও তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে। শুনে রাখ, পাপাচারীরা স্থায়ী আযাবে থাকবে।
[45] And you will see them brought forward to it (Hell) made humble by disgrace , (and) looking with stealthy glance. And those who believe will say: “Verily, the losers are they who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Verily, the Zâlimûn [i.e. Al-Kâfirûn (disbelievers in Allâh, in His Oneness and in His Messenger SAW , polytheists, wrong-doers)] will be in a lasting torment. (Tafsir At-Tabari)

[46] وَما كانَ لَهُم مِن أَولِياءَ يَنصُرونَهُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَن يُضلِلِ اللَّهُ فَما لَهُ مِن سَبيلٍ
[46] আল্লাহ তা’আলা ব্যতীত তাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী থাকবে না, যে তাদেরকে সাহায্য করবে। আল্লাহ তা’আলা যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন, তার কোন গতি নেই।
[46] And they will have no Auliyâ’ (protectors, helper, guardian, lords) to help them other than Allâh. And he whom Allâh sends astray, for him there is no way.

[47] استَجيبوا لِرَبِّكُم مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِىَ يَومٌ لا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ ما لَكُم مِن مَلجَإٍ يَومَئِذٍ وَما لَكُم مِن نَكيرٍ
[47] আল্লাহ তা’আলার পক্ষ থেকে অবশ্যম্ভাবী দিবস আসার পূর্বে তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ মান্য কর। সেদিন তোমাদের কোন আশ্রয়স্থল থাকবে না এবং তা নিরোধকারী কেউ থাকবে না।
[47] Answer the Call of your Lord (i.e. accept the Islâmic Monotheism, O mankind, and jinn) before there comes from Allâh a Day which cannot be averted. (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) You will have no refuge on that Day nor there will be for you any denying (of your crimes as they are all recorded in the Book of your deeds)

[48] فَإِن أَعرَضوا فَما أَرسَلنٰكَ عَلَيهِم حَفيظًا ۖ إِن عَلَيكَ إِلَّا البَلٰغُ ۗ وَإِنّا إِذا أَذَقنَا الإِنسٰنَ مِنّا رَحمَةً فَرِحَ بِها ۖ وَإِن تُصِبهُم سَيِّئَةٌ بِما قَدَّمَت أَيديهِم فَإِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ كَفورٌ
[48] যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে আপনাকে আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার রহমত আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে উল্লসিত, আর যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটে, তখন মানুষ খুব অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
[48] But if they turn away (O Muhammad SAW from the Islâmic Monotheism, which you have brought to them). We have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a Hafîz (protector, watcher) over them (i.e. to take care of their deeds and to recompense them). Your duty is to convey (the Message). And verily, when We cause man to taste of Mercy from Us, he rejoices thereat, but when some ill befalls them because of the deeds which their hands have sent forth, then verily, man (becomes) ingrate!

[49] لِلَّهِ مُلكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ يَخلُقُ ما يَشاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَن يَشاءُ إِنٰثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَن يَشاءُ الذُّكورَ
[49] নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের রাজত্ব আল্লাহ তা’আলারই। তিনি যা ইচ্ছা, সৃষ্টি করেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা কন্যা-সন্তান এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা পুত্র সন্তান দান করেন।
[49] To Allâh belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female (offspring) upon whom He wills, and bestows male (offspring) upon whom He wills.

[50] أَو يُزَوِّجُهُم ذُكرانًا وَإِنٰثًا ۖ وَيَجعَلُ مَن يَشاءُ عَقيمًا ۚ إِنَّهُ عَليمٌ قَديرٌ
[50] অথবা তাদেরকে দান করেন পুত্র ও কন্যা উভয়ই এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা বন্ধ্যা করে দেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ক্ষমতাশীল।
[50] Or He bestows both males and females, and He renders barren whom He wills. Verily, He is the All-Knower and is Able to do all things.
