[70] الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِالكِتٰبِ وَبِما أَرسَلنا بِهِ رُسُلَنا ۖ فَسَوفَ يَعلَمونَ
[70] যারা কিতাবের প্রতি এবং যে বিষয় দিয়ে আমি পয়গম্বরগণকে প্রেরণ করেছি, সে বিষয়ের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে। অতএব, সত্বরই তারা জানতে পারবে।
[70] Those who deny the Book (this Qur’ân), and that with which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allâh Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Fire of Hell).

[71] إِذِ الأَغلٰلُ فى أَعنٰقِهِم وَالسَّلٰسِلُ يُسحَبونَ
[71] যখন বেড়িও শৃঙ্খল তাদের গলদেশে পড়বে। তাদেরকে টেনে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে।
[71] When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along

[72] فِى الحَميمِ ثُمَّ فِى النّارِ يُسجَرونَ
[72] ফুটন্ত পানিতে, অতঃপর তাদেরকে আগুনে জ্বালানো হবে।
[72] In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire.

[73] ثُمَّ قيلَ لَهُم أَينَ ما كُنتُم تُشرِكونَ
[73] অতঃপর তাদেরকে বলা হবে, কোথায় গেল যাদেরকে তোমরা শরীক করতে।
[73] Then it will be said to them: “Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners.

[74] مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قالوا ضَلّوا عَنّا بَل لَم نَكُن نَدعوا مِن قَبلُ شَيـًٔا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الكٰفِرينَ
[74] আল্লাহ ব্যতীত? তারা বলবে, তারা আমাদের কাছ থেকে উধাও হয়ে গেছে; বরং আমরা তো ইতিপূর্বে কোন কিছুর পূজাই করতাম না। এমনি ভাবে আল্লাহ কাফেরদেরকে বিভ্রান্ত করেন।
[74] “Besides Allâh”? They will say: “They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before.” Thus Allâh leads astray the disbelievers.

[75] ذٰلِكُم بِما كُنتُم تَفرَحونَ فِى الأَرضِ بِغَيرِ الحَقِّ وَبِما كُنتُم تَمرَحونَ
[75] এটা একারণে যে, তোমরা দুনিয়াতে অন্যায়ভাবে আনন্দ-উল্লাস করতে এবং এ কারণে যে, তোমরা ঔদ্ধত্য করতে।
[75] That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right (by worshipping others instead of Allâh and by committing crimes), and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error).

[76] ادخُلوا أَبوٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدينَ فيها ۖ فَبِئسَ مَثوَى المُتَكَبِّرينَ
[76] প্রবেশ কর তোমরা জাহান্নামের দরজা দিয়ে সেখানে চিরকাল বসবাসের জন্যে। কত নিকৃষ্ট দাম্ভিকদের আবাসস্থল।
[76] Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant!

[77] فَاصبِر إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعضَ الَّذى نَعِدُهُم أَو نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَينا يُرجَعونَ
[77] অতএব আপনি সবর করুন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে যে শাস্তির ওয়াদা দেই, তার কিয়দংশ যদি আপনাকে দেখিয়ে দেই অথবা আপনার প্রাণ হরণ করে নেই, সর্বাবস্থায় তারা তো আমারই কাছে ফিরে আসবে।
[77] So be patient (O Muhammad SAW), verily, the Promise of Allâh is true, and whether We show you (O Muhammad SAW in this world) some part of what We have promised them, or We cause you to die, then still it is to Us they all shall be returned.

[78] وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا رُسُلًا مِن قَبلِكَ مِنهُم مَن قَصَصنا عَلَيكَ وَمِنهُم مَن لَم نَقصُص عَلَيكَ ۗ وَما كانَ لِرَسولٍ أَن يَأتِىَ بِـٔايَةٍ إِلّا بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِذا جاءَ أَمرُ اللَّهِ قُضِىَ بِالحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنالِكَ المُبطِلونَ
[78] আমি আপনার পূর্বে অনেক রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, তাদের কারও কারও ঘটনা আপনার কাছে বিবৃত করেছি এবং কারও কারও ঘটনা আপনার কাছে বিবৃত করিনি। আল্লাহর অনুমতি ব্যতীত কোন নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসা কোন রসূলের কাজ নয়। যখন আল্লাহর আদেশ আসবে, তখন ন্যায় সঙ্গত ফয়সালা হয়ে যাবে। সেক্ষেত্রে মিথ্যাপন্থীরা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে।
[78] And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW); of some of them We have related to you their story And of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of Allâh. But, when comes the Commandment of Allâh, the matter will be decided with truth, and the followers of falsehood will then be lost.

[79] اللَّهُ الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَنعٰمَ لِتَركَبوا مِنها وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ
[79] আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্যে চতুস্পদ জন্তু সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যাতে কোন কোনটিই বাহন হিসাবে ব্যবহার কর এবং কোন কোনটিকে ভক্ষণ কর।
[79] Allâh, it is He Who has made cattle for you, that you may ride on some of them and of some you eat.

[80] وَلَكُم فيها مَنٰفِعُ وَلِتَبلُغوا عَلَيها حاجَةً فى صُدورِكُم وَعَلَيها وَعَلَى الفُلكِ تُحمَلونَ
[80] তাতে তোমাদের জন্যে অনেক উপকারিতা রয়েছে আর এজন্যে সৃষ্টি করেছেন; যাতে সেগুলোতে আরোহণ করে তোমরা তোমাদের অভীষ্ট প্রয়োজন পূর্ণ করতে পার। এগুলোর উপর এবং নৌকার উপর তোমরা বাহিত হও।
[80] And you have (many other) benefits from them, and that you may reach by their means a desire that is in your breasts (i.e. carry your goods, loads, etc.), and on them and on ships you are carried.

[81] وَيُريكُم ءايٰتِهِ فَأَىَّ ءايٰتِ اللَّهِ تُنكِرونَ
[81] তিনি তোমাদেরকে তাঁর নিদর্শনাবলী দেখান। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর কোন কোন নিদর্শনকে অস্বীকার করবে?
[81] And He shows you His Ayat, (Signs and Proofs) (of His Oneness in all the above mentioned things). Which, then of the Ayat (Signs and Proofs) of Allâh do you deny?

[82] أَفَلَم يَسيروا فِى الأَرضِ فَيَنظُروا كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ كانوا أَكثَرَ مِنهُم وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَءاثارًا فِى الأَرضِ فَما أَغنىٰ عَنهُم ما كانوا يَكسِبونَ
[82] তারা কি পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ করেনি? করলে দেখত, তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের কি পরিণাম হয়েছে। তারা তাদের চেয়ে সংখ্যায় বেশী এবং শক্তি ও কীর্তিতে অধিক প্রবল ছিল, অতঃপর তাদের কর্ম তাদেরকে কোন উপকার দেয়নি।
[82] Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more in number than them and mightier in strength, and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land, yet all that they used to earn availed them not.

[83] فَلَمّا جاءَتهُم رُسُلُهُم بِالبَيِّنٰتِ فَرِحوا بِما عِندَهُم مِنَ العِلمِ وَحاقَ بِهِم ما كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ
[83] তাদের কাছে যখন তাদের রসূলগণ স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ আগমন করেছিল, তখন তারা নিজেদের জ্ঞান-গরিমার দম্ভ প্রকাশ করেছিল। তারা যে বিষয় নিয়ে ঠাট্টাবিদ্রুপ করেছিল, তাই তাদেরকে গ্রাস করে নিয়েছিল।
[83] Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).

[84] فَلَمّا رَأَوا بَأسَنا قالوا ءامَنّا بِاللَّهِ وَحدَهُ وَكَفَرنا بِما كُنّا بِهِ مُشرِكينَ
[84] তারা যখন আমার শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করল, তখন বলল, আমরা এক আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস করলাম এবং যাদেরকে শরীক করতাম, তাদেরকে পরিহার করলাম।
[84] So when they saw Our punishment, they said: “We believe in Allâh Alone and reject (all) that we used to associate with Him as (His) partners.

[85] فَلَم يَكُ يَنفَعُهُم إيمٰنُهُم لَمّا رَأَوا بَأسَنا ۖ سُنَّتَ اللَّهِ الَّتى قَد خَلَت فى عِبادِهِ ۖ وَخَسِرَ هُنالِكَ الكٰفِرونَ
[85] অতঃপর তাদের এ ঈমান তাদের কোন উপকারে আসল না যখন তারা শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করল। আল্লাহর এ নিয়মই পূর্ব থেকে তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে প্রচলিত হয়েছে। সেক্ষেত্রে কাফেররা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।
[85] Then their Faith (in Islâmic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allâh in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our Torment covered them).

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] হা-মীম।
[1] Hâ­Mîm [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

[2] تَنزيلٌ مِنَ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
[2] এটা অবতীর্ণ পরম করুণাময়, দয়ালুর পক্ষ থেকে।
[2] A revelation from (Allâh) the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

[3] كِتٰبٌ فُصِّلَت ءايٰتُهُ قُرءانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِقَومٍ يَعلَمونَ
[3] এটা কিতাব, এর আয়াতসমূহ বিশদভাবে বিবৃত আরবী কোরআনরূপে জ্ঞানী লোকদের জন্য।
[3] A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail — a Qur’ân in Arabic for people who know.

[4] بَشيرًا وَنَذيرًا فَأَعرَضَ أَكثَرُهُم فَهُم لا يَسمَعونَ
[4] সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে, অতঃপর তাদের অধিকাংশই মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছে, তারা শুনে না।
[4] Giving glad tidings [of Paradise to the one who believes in the Oneness of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) and fears Allâh much (abstains from all kinds of sins and evil deeds) and loves Allâh much (performing all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], and warning (of punishment in the Hell Fire to the one who disbelieves in the Oneness of Allâh), but most of them turn away, so they hear not.
