بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] أَتىٰ أَمرُ اللَّهِ فَلا تَستَعجِلوهُ ۚ سُبحٰنَهُ وَتَعٰلىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ

[1] আল্লাহর নির্দেশ এসে গেছে। অতএব এর জন্যে তাড়াহুড়া করো না। ওরা যেসব শরীক সাব্যস্ত করছে সেসব থেকে তিনি পবিত্র ও বহু উর্ধ্বে।

[1] The Event (the Hour or the punishment of disbelievers and polytheists or the Islâmic laws or commandments), ordained by Allâh will come to pass, so seek not to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate as partners with Him.

[2] يُنَزِّلُ المَلٰئِكَةَ بِالرّوحِ مِن أَمرِهِ عَلىٰ مَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ أَن أَنذِروا أَنَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا أَنا۠ فَاتَّقونِ

[2] তিনি স্বীয় নির্দেশে বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার কাছে ইচ্ছা, নির্দেশসহ ফেরেশতাদেরকে এই মর্মে নাযিল করেন যে, হুশিয়ার করে দাও, আমি ছাড়া কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব আমাকে ভয় কর।

[2] He sends down the angels with Ruh (revelation) of His Command to whom of His slaves He wills (saying): “Warn mankind that Lâ ilâha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds).

[3] خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ بِالحَقِّ ۚ تَعٰلىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ

[3] যিনি যথাবিধি আকাশরাজি ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছেন। তারা যাকে শরীক করে তিনি তার বহু উর্ধ্বে।

[3] He has created the heavens and the earth with truth. High is He Exalted above all they associate as partners with Him.

[4] خَلَقَ الإِنسٰنَ مِن نُطفَةٍ فَإِذا هُوَ خَصيمٌ مُبينٌ

[4] তিনি মানবকে এক ফোটা বীর্য থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। এতদসত্বেও সে প্রকাশ্য বিতন্ডাকারী হয়ে গেছে।

[4] He has created man from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge), then behold, this same (man) becomes an open opponent.

[5] وَالأَنعٰمَ خَلَقَها ۗ لَكُم فيها دِفءٌ وَمَنٰفِعُ وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ

[5] চতুষ্পদ জন্তুকে তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন। এতে তোমাদের জন্যে শীত বস্ত্রের উপকরণ আছে। আর অনেক উপকার হয়েছে এবং কিছু সংখ্যককে তোমরা আহার্যেø পরিণত করে থাক।

[5] And the cattle, He has created them for you; in them there is warmth (warm clothing), and numerous benefits, and of them you eat.

[6] وَلَكُم فيها جَمالٌ حينَ تُريحونَ وَحينَ تَسرَحونَ

[6] এদের দ্বারা তোমাদের সম্মান হয়, যখন বিকালে চারণভূমি থেকে নিয়ে আস এবং সকালে চারণ ভূমিতে নিয়ে যাও।

[6] And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning.

[7] وَتَحمِلُ أَثقالَكُم إِلىٰ بَلَدٍ لَم تَكونوا بٰلِغيهِ إِلّا بِشِقِّ الأَنفُسِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُم لَرَءوفٌ رَحيمٌ

[7] এরা তোমাদের বোঝা এমন শহর পর্যন্ত বহন করে নিয়ে যায়, যেখানে তোমরা প্রাণান্তকর পরিশ্রÛম ব্যতীত পৌছাতে পারতে না। নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রভু অত্যন্ত দয়াদ্র, পরম দয়ালু।

[7] And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful.

[8] وَالخَيلَ وَالبِغالَ وَالحَميرَ لِتَركَبوها وَزينَةً ۚ وَيَخلُقُ ما لا تَعلَمونَ

[8] তোমাদের আরোহণের জন্যে এবং শোভার জন্যে তিনি ঘোড়া, খচ্চর ও গাধা সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আর তিনি এমন জিনিস সৃষ্টি করেন যা তোমরা জান না।

[8] And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge.

[9] وَعَلَى اللَّهِ قَصدُ السَّبيلِ وَمِنها جائِرٌ ۚ وَلَو شاءَ لَهَدىٰكُم أَجمَعينَ

[9] সরল পথ আল্লাহ পর্যন্ত পৌছে এবং পথগুলোর মধ্যে কিছু বক্র পথও রয়েছে। তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করতে পারতেন।

[9] And upon Allâh is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path , But there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity,). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind).

[10] هُوَ الَّذى أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً ۖ لَكُم مِنهُ شَرابٌ وَمِنهُ شَجَرٌ فيهِ تُسيمونَ

[10] তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন। এই পানি থেকে তোমরা পান কর এবং এ থেকেই উদ্ভিদ উৎপন্ন হয়, যাতে তোমরা পশুচারণ কর।

[10] He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture;

[11] يُنبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ الزَّرعَ وَالزَّيتونَ وَالنَّخيلَ وَالأَعنٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ ۗ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً لِقَومٍ يَتَفَكَّرونَ

[11] এ পানি দ্বারা তোমাদের জন্যে উৎপাদন করেন ফসল, যয়তুন, খেজুর, আঙ্গুর ও সর্বপ্রকার ফল। নিশ্চয় এতে চিন্তাশীলদের জন্যে নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

[11] With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought.

[12] وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الَّيلَ وَالنَّهارَ وَالشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ ۖ وَالنُّجومُ مُسَخَّرٰتٌ بِأَمرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ

[12] তিনিই তোমাদের কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন রাত্রি, দিন, সূর্য এবং চন্দ্রকে। তারকাসমূহ তাঁরই বিধানের কর্মে নিয়োজিত রয়েছে। নিশ্চয়ই এতে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্নদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।

[12] And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand.

[13] وَما ذَرَأَ لَكُم فِى الأَرضِ مُختَلِفًا أَلوٰنُهُ ۗ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً لِقَومٍ يَذَّكَّرونَ

[13] তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীতে যেসব রং-বেরঙের বস্তু ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন, সেগুলোতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে তাদের জন্যে যারা চিন্তা-ভাবনা করে।

[13] And whatsoever He has created for you on the earth of varying colours [and qualities from vegetation and fruits (botanical life) and from animals (zoological life)]. Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember.

[14] وَهُوَ الَّذى سَخَّرَ البَحرَ لِتَأكُلوا مِنهُ لَحمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَستَخرِجوا مِنهُ حِليَةً تَلبَسونَها وَتَرَى الفُلكَ مَواخِرَ فيهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ

[14] তিনিই কাজে লাগিয়ে দিয়েছেন সমুদ্রকে, যাতে তা থেকে তোমরা তাজা মাংস খেতে পার এবং তা থেকে বের করতে পার পরিধেয় অলঙ্কার। তুমি তাতে জলযান সমূহকে পানি চিরে চলতে দেখবে এবং যাতে তোমরা আল্লাহর কৃপা অন্বেষণ কর এবং যাতে তার অনুগ্রহ স্বীকার কর।

[14] And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful.

[15] وَأَلقىٰ فِى الأَرضِ رَوٰسِىَ أَن تَميدَ بِكُم وَأَنهٰرًا وَسُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُم تَهتَدونَ

[15] এবং তিনি পৃথিবীর উপর বোঝা রেখেছেন যে, কখনো যেন তা তোমাদেরকে নিয়ে হেলে-দুলে না পড়ে এবং নদী ও পথ তৈরী করেছেন, যাতে তোমরা পথ প্রদর্শিত হও।

[15] And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves.

[16] وَعَلٰمٰتٍ ۚ وَبِالنَّجمِ هُم يَهتَدونَ

[16] এবং তিনি পথ নির্ণয়ক বহু চিহ্ন সৃষ্টি করেছেন, এবং তারকা দ্বারা ও মানুষ পথের নির্দেশ পায়।

[16] And landmarks (signposts, during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves.

[17] أَفَمَن يَخلُقُ كَمَن لا يَخلُقُ ۗ أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ

[17] যিনি সৃষ্টি করে, তিনি কি সে লোকের সমতুল্য যে সৃষ্টি করতে পারে না? তোমরা কি চিন্তা করবে না?

[17] Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember?

[18] وَإِن تَعُدّوا نِعمَةَ اللَّهِ لا تُحصوها ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

[18] যদি আল্লাহর নেয়ামত গণনা কর, শেষ করতে পারবে না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু।

[18] And if you would count the favours of Allâh, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[19] وَاللَّهُ يَعلَمُ ما تُسِرّونَ وَما تُعلِنونَ

[19] আল্লাহ জানেন যা তোমরা গোপন কর এবং যা তোমরা প্রকাশ কর।

[19] And Allâh knows what you conceal and what you reveal.

[20] وَالَّذينَ يَدعونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ لا يَخلُقونَ شَيـًٔا وَهُم يُخلَقونَ

[20] এবং যারা আল্লাহকে ছেড়ে অন্যদের ডাকে, ওরা তো কোন বস্তুই সৃষ্টি করে না; বরং ওরা নিজেরাই সৃজিত।

[20] Those whom they (Al-Mushrikûn) invoke besides Allâh have not created anything, but are themselves created.
