[31] قُل لِعِبادِىَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا يُقيمُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَيُنفِقوا مِمّا رَزَقنٰهُم سِرًّا وَعَلانِيَةً مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِىَ يَومٌ لا بَيعٌ فيهِ وَلا خِلٰلٌ
[31] আমার বান্দাদেরকে বলে দিন যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে, তারা নামায কায়েম রাখুক এবং আমার দেয়া রিযিক থেকে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে ব্যয় করুক ঐদিন আসার আগে, যেদিন কোন বেচা কেনা নেই এবং বন্ধুত্বও নেই।
[31] Say (O Muhammad SAW) to ‘Ibâdî (My slaves) who have believed, that they should perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and spend in charity out of the sustenance We have given them, secretly and openly, before the coming of a Day on which there will be neither mutual bargaining nor befriending.

[32] اللَّهُ الَّذى خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَخرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزقًا لَكُم ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الفُلكَ لِتَجرِىَ فِى البَحرِ بِأَمرِهِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الأَنهٰرَ
[32] তিনিই আল্লাহ, যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডল সৃজন করেছেন এবং আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করে অতঃপর তা দ্বারা তোমাদের জন্যে ফলের রিযিক উৎপন্ন করেছেন এবং নৌকাকে তোমাদের আজ্ঞাবহ করেছেন, যাতে তাঁর আদেশে সমুদ্রে চলা ফেরা করে এবং নদ-নদীকে তোমাদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত করেছেন।
[32] Allâh is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends down water (rain) from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision for you; and He has made the ships to be of service to you, that they may sail through the sea by His Command; and He has made rivers (also) to be of service to you.

[33] وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ دائِبَينِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الَّيلَ وَالنَّهارَ
[33] এবং তোমাদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত করেছেন সূর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে সর্বদা এক নিয়মে এবং রাত্রি ও দিবাকে তোমাদের কাজে লাগিয়েছেন।
[33] And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you.

[34] وَءاتىٰكُم مِن كُلِّ ما سَأَلتُموهُ ۚ وَإِن تَعُدّوا نِعمَتَ اللَّهِ لا تُحصوها ۗ إِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ لَظَلومٌ كَفّارٌ
[34] যে সকল বস্তু তোমরা চেয়েছ, তার প্রত্যেকটি থেকেই তিনি তোমাদেরকে দিয়েছেন। যদি আল্লাহর নেয়ামত গণনা কর, তবে গুণে শেষ করতে পারবে না। নিশ্চয় মানুষ অত্যন্ত অন্যায়কারী, অকৃতজ্ঞ।
[34] And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allâh, never will you be able to count them. Verily! man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, – a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate, denies Allâh’s Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allâh, and by disobeying Allâh and His Prophet Muhammad SAW).

[35] وَإِذ قالَ إِبرٰهيمُ رَبِّ اجعَل هٰذَا البَلَدَ ءامِنًا وَاجنُبنى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَعبُدَ الأَصنامَ
[35] যখন ইব্রাহীম বললেনঃ হে পালনকর্তা, এ শহরকে শান্তিময় করে দিন এবং আমাকে ও আমার সন্তান সন্ততিকে মূর্তি পূজা থেকে দূরে রাখুন।
[35] And (remember) when Ibrâhim (Abraham) said: “O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) one of peace and security, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.

[36] رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضلَلنَ كَثيرًا مِنَ النّاسِ ۖ فَمَن تَبِعَنى فَإِنَّهُ مِنّى ۖ وَمَن عَصانى فَإِنَّكَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ
[36] হে পালনকর্তা, এরা অনেক মানুষকে বিপথগামী করেছে। অতএব যে আমার অনুসরণ করে, সে আমার এবং কেউ আমার অবাধ্যতা করলে নিশ্চয় আপনি ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
[36] “O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind. But whoso follows me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeys me, – still You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[37] رَبَّنا إِنّى أَسكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتى بِوادٍ غَيرِ ذى زَرعٍ عِندَ بَيتِكَ المُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنا لِيُقيمُوا الصَّلوٰةَ فَاجعَل أَفـِٔدَةً مِنَ النّاسِ تَهوى إِلَيهِم وَارزُقهُم مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ لَعَلَّهُم يَشكُرونَ
[37] হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমি নিজের এক সন্তানকে তোমার পবিত্র গৃহের সন্নিকটে চাষাবাদহীন উপত্যকায় আবাদ করেছি; হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যাতে তারা নামায কায়েম রাখে। অতঃপর আপনি কিছু লোকের অন্তরকে তাদের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট করুন এবং তাদেরকে ফলাদি দ্বারা রুযী দান করুন, সম্ভবতঃ তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করবে
[37] “O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka’bah at Makkah); in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), so fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allâh) provide them with fruits so that they may give thanks.

[38] رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ تَعلَمُ ما نُخفى وَما نُعلِنُ ۗ وَما يَخفىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِن شَيءٍ فِى الأَرضِ وَلا فِى السَّماءِ
[38] হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আপনি তো জানেন আমরা যা কিছু গোপনে করি এবং যা কিছু প্রকাশ্য করি। আল্লাহর কাছে পৃথিবীতে ও আকাশে কোন কিছুই গোপন নয়।
[38] “O our Lord! Certainly, You know what we conceal and what we reveal. Nothing on the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allâh

[39] الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى وَهَبَ لى عَلَى الكِبَرِ إِسمٰعيلَ وَإِسحٰقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبّى لَسَميعُ الدُّعاءِ
[39] সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহরই, যিনি আমাকে এই বার্ধক্যে ইসমাঈল ও ইসহাক দান করেছেন নিশ্চয় আমার পালনকর্তা দোয়া শ্রবণ করেন।
[39] “All the praises and thanks are to Allâh, Who has given me in old age Ismâ’il (Ishmael) and Ishâq (Isaac). Verily! My Lord is indeed the All-Hearer of invocations.

[40] رَبِّ اجعَلنى مُقيمَ الصَّلوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتى ۚ رَبَّنا وَتَقَبَّل دُعاءِ
[40] হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাকে নামায কায়েমকারী করুন এবং আমার সন্তানদের মধ্যে থেকেও। হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, এবং কবুল করুন আমাদের দোয়া।
[40] “O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.

[41] رَبَّنَا اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ يَومَ يَقومُ الحِسابُ
[41] হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাকে, আমার পিতা-মাতাকে এবং সব মুমিনকে ক্ষমা করুন, যেদিন হিসাব কায়েম হবে।
[41] “Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established.”

[42] وَلا تَحسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غٰفِلًا عَمّا يَعمَلُ الظّٰلِمونَ ۚ إِنَّما يُؤَخِّرُهُم لِيَومٍ تَشخَصُ فيهِ الأَبصٰرُ
[42] জালেমরা যা করে, সে সম্পর্কে আল্লাহকে কখনও বেখবর মনে করো না তাদেরকে তো ঐ দিন পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিয়ে রেখেছেন, যেদিন চক্ষুসমূহ বিস্ফোরিত হবে।
[42] Consider not that Allâh is unaware of that which the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror.

[43] مُهطِعينَ مُقنِعى رُءوسِهِم لا يَرتَدُّ إِلَيهِم طَرفُهُم ۖ وَأَفـِٔدَتُهُم هَواءٌ
[43] তারা মস্তক উপরে তুলে ভীত-বিহবল চিত্তে দৌড়াতে থাকবে। তাদের দিকে তাদের দৃষ্টি ফিরে আসবে না এবং তাদের অন্তর উড়ে যাবে।
[43] (They will be) hastening forward with necks outstretched, their heads raised up (towards the sky), their gaze returning not towards them and their hearts empty (from thinking because of extreme fear).

[44] وَأَنذِرِ النّاسَ يَومَ يَأتيهِمُ العَذابُ فَيَقولُ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا رَبَّنا أَخِّرنا إِلىٰ أَجَلٍ قَريبٍ نُجِب دَعوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ ۗ أَوَلَم تَكونوا أَقسَمتُم مِن قَبلُ ما لَكُم مِن زَوالٍ
[44] মানুষকে ঐ দিনের ভয় প্রদর্শন করুন, যেদিন তাদের কাছে আযাব আসবে। তখন জালেমরা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদেরকে সামান্য মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত সময় দিন, যাতে আমরা আপনার আহবানে সাড়া দিতে এবং পয়গম্বরগণের অনুসরণ করতে পারি। তোমরা কি ইতোপূর্বে কসম খেতে না যে, তোমাদেরকে দুনিয়া থেকে যেতে হবে না?
[44] And warn (O Muhammad SAW) mankind of the Day when the torment will come unto them; then the wrong-doers will say: “Our Lord! Respite us for a little while, we will answer Your Call and follow the Messengers!” (It will be said): “Had you not sworn aforetime that you would not leave (the world for the Hereafter).

[45] وَسَكَنتُم فى مَسٰكِنِ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا أَنفُسَهُم وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُم كَيفَ فَعَلنا بِهِم وَضَرَبنا لَكُمُ الأَمثالَ
[45] তোমরা তাদের বাসভূমিতেই বসবাস করতে, যারা নিজেদের উপর জুলুম করেছে এবং তোমাদের জানা হয়ে গিয়েছিল যে, আমি তাদের সাথে কিরূপ ব্যবহার করেছি এবং আমি তোমাদেরকে ওদের সব কাহিনীই বর্ণনা করেছি।
[45] “And you dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged themselves, and it was clear to you how We had dealt with them. And We put forth (many) parables for you.”

[46] وَقَد مَكَروا مَكرَهُم وَعِندَ اللَّهِ مَكرُهُم وَإِن كانَ مَكرُهُم لِتَزولَ مِنهُ الجِبالُ
[46] তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে ভীষণ চক্রান্ত করে নিয়েছে এবং আল্লাহর সামনে রক্ষিত আছে তাদের কু-চক্রান্ত। তাদের কুটকৌশল পাহাড় টলিয়ে দেয়ার মত হবে না।
[46] Indeed, they planned their plot, and their plot was with Allâh, though their plot was was not such as to remove the mountains (real mountains or the Islâmic law) from their places (as it is of no importance) (Tafsir Ibn Kathir).

[47] فَلا تَحسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخلِفَ وَعدِهِ رُسُلَهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزيزٌ ذُو انتِقامٍ
[47] অতএব আল্লাহর প্রতি ধারণা করো না যে, তিনি রসূলগণের সাথে কৃত ওয়াদা ভঙ্গ করবেন নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণকারী।
[47] So think not that Allâh will fail to keep His Promise to His Messengers. Certainly, Allâh is All-Mighty, – All-Able of Retribution.

[48] يَومَ تُبَدَّلُ الأَرضُ غَيرَ الأَرضِ وَالسَّمٰوٰتُ ۖ وَبَرَزوا لِلَّهِ الوٰحِدِ القَهّارِ
[48] যেদিন পরিবর্তিত করা হবে এ পৃথিবীকে অন্য পৃথিবীতে এবং পরিবর্তিত করা হবে আকাশ সমূহকে এবং লোকেরা পরাক্রমশালী এবং আল্লাহর সামনে পেশ হবে।
[48] On the Day when the earth will be changed to another earth and so will be the heavens, and they (all creatures) will appear before Allâh, the One, the Irresistible.

[49] وَتَرَى المُجرِمينَ يَومَئِذٍ مُقَرَّنينَ فِى الأَصفادِ
[49] তুমি ঐদিন পাপীদেরকে পরস্পরে শৃংখলা বদ্ধ দেখবে।
[49] And you will see the Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh — Islâmic Monotheism, polytheists) that Day Muqarranûn (bound together) in fetters.

[50] سَرابيلُهُم مِن قَطِرانٍ وَتَغشىٰ وُجوهَهُمُ النّارُ
[50] তাদের জামা হবে দাহ্য আলকাতরার এবং তাদের মুখমন্ডলকে আগুন আচ্ছন্ন করে ফেলবে।
[50] Their garments will be of pitch, and fire will cover their faces.
