[11] قالَت لَهُم رُسُلُهُم إِن نَحنُ إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم وَلٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلىٰ مَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ ۖ وَما كانَ لَنا أَن نَأتِيَكُم بِسُلطٰنٍ إِلّا بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَليَتَوَكَّلِ المُؤمِنونَ
[11] তাদের পয়গম্বর তাদেরকে বলেনঃ আমারাও তোমাদের মত মানুষ, কিন্তু আল্লাহ বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে যার উপরে ইচ্ছা, অনুগ্রহ করেন। আল্লাহর নির্দেশ ব্যতীত তোমাদের কাছে প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসা আমাদের কাজ নয়; ঈমানদারদের আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করা চাই।
[11] Their Messengers said to them: “We are no more than human beings like you, but Allâh bestows His Grace to whom He wills of His slaves. It is not ours to bring you an authority (proof) except by the Permission of Allâh. And in Allâh (Alone) let the believers put their trust.

[12] وَما لَنا أَلّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَقَد هَدىٰنا سُبُلَنا ۚ وَلَنَصبِرَنَّ عَلىٰ ما ءاذَيتُمونا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَليَتَوَكَّلِ المُتَوَكِّلونَ
[12] আমাদের আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা না করার কি কারণ থাকতে পারে, অথচ তিনি আমাদেরকে আমাদের পথ বলে দিয়েছেন। তোমরা আমাদেরকে যে পীড়ন করেছ, তজ্জন্যে আমরা সবর করব। ভরসাকারিগণের আল্লাহর উপরই ভরসা করা উচিত।
[12] “And why should we not put our trust in Allâh while He indeed has guided us our ways? And we shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us, and in Allâh (Alone) let those who trust, put their trust.”

[13] وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لِرُسُلِهِم لَنُخرِجَنَّكُم مِن أَرضِنا أَو لَتَعودُنَّ فى مِلَّتِنا ۖ فَأَوحىٰ إِلَيهِم رَبُّهُم لَنُهلِكَنَّ الظّٰلِمينَ
[13] কাফেররা পয়গম্বরগণকে বলেছিলঃ আমরা তোমাদেরকে দেশ থেকে বের করে দেব অথবা তোমরা আমাদের ধর্মে ফিরে আসবে। তখন তাদের কাছে তাদের পালনকর্তা ওহী প্রেরণ করলেন যে, আমি জালিমদেরকে অবশ্যই ধ্বংস করে দেব।
[13] And those who disbelieved, said to their Messengers: “Surely, we shall drive you out of our land, or you shall return to our religion.” So their Lord revealed to them: “Truly, We shall destroy the Zâlimûn (polytheists, disbelievers and wrong-doers.).

[14] وَلَنُسكِنَنَّكُمُ الأَرضَ مِن بَعدِهِم ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن خافَ مَقامى وَخافَ وَعيدِ
[14] তাদের পর তোমাদেরকে দেশে আবাদ করব। এটা ঐ ব্যক্তি পায়, যে আমার সামনে দন্ডায়মান হওয়াকে এবং আমার আযাবের ওয়াদাকে ভয় করে।
[14] “And indeed, We shall make you dwell in the land after them. This is for him who fears standing before Me (on the Day of Resurrection or fears My Punishment) and also fears My threat.”

[15] وَاستَفتَحوا وَخابَ كُلُّ جَبّارٍ عَنيدٍ
[15] পয়গম্বরগণ ফয়সালা চাইতে লাগলেন এবং প্রত্যেক অবাধ্য, হঠকারী ব্যর্থ কাম হল।
[15] And they (the Messengers) sought victory and help [from their Lord (Allâh)], and every obstinate, arrogant dictator (who refuses to believe in the Oneness of Allâh) was brought to a complete loss and destruction.

[16] مِن وَرائِهِ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسقىٰ مِن ماءٍ صَديدٍ
[16] তার পেছনে দোযখ রয়েছে। তাতে পূঁজ মিশানো পানি পান করানো হবে।
[16] In front of him (every obstinate, arrogant dictator) is Hell, and he will be made to drink boiling, festering water.

[17] يَتَجَرَّعُهُ وَلا يَكادُ يُسيغُهُ وَيَأتيهِ المَوتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكانٍ وَما هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ ۖ وَمِن وَرائِهِ عَذابٌ غَليظٌ
[17] ঢোক গিলে তা পান করবে। এবং গলার ভিতরে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না। প্রতি দিক থেকে তার কাছে মৃত্যু আগমন করবে এবং সে মরবে না। তার পশ্চাতেও রয়েছে কঠোর আযাব।
[17] He will sip it unwillingly, and he will find a great difficulty to swallow it down his throat, and death will come to him from every side, yet he will not die and in front of him, will be a great torment.

[18] مَثَلُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا بِرَبِّهِم ۖ أَعمٰلُهُم كَرَمادٍ اشتَدَّت بِهِ الرّيحُ فى يَومٍ عاصِفٍ ۖ لا يَقدِرونَ مِمّا كَسَبوا عَلىٰ شَيءٍ ۚ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلٰلُ البَعيدُ
[18] যারা স্বীয় পালনকর্তার সত্তার অবিশ্বাসী তাদের অবস্থা এই যে, তাদের কর্মসমূহ ছাইভস্মের মত যার উপর দিয়ে প্রবল বাতাস বয়ে যায় ধূলিঝড়ের দিন। তাদের উপার্জনের কোন অংশই তাদের করতলগত হবে না। এটাই দুরবর্তী পথভ্রষ্টতা।
[18] The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day, they shall not be able to get aught of what they have earned. That is the straying, far away (from the Right Path).

[19] أَلَم تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ بِالحَقِّ ۚ إِن يَشَأ يُذهِبكُم وَيَأتِ بِخَلقٍ جَديدٍ
[19] তুমি কি দেখনি যে, আল্লাহ নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডল যথাবিধি সৃষ্টি করেছেন? যদি তিনি ইচ্ছা করেন, তবে তোমাদেরকে বিলুপ্তিতে নিয়ে যাবেন এবং নতুন সৃষ্টি আনয়ন করবেন।
[19] Do you not see that Allâh has created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in your place) a new creation!

[20] وَما ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزيزٍ
[20] এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষে মোটেই কঠিন নয়।
[20] And for Allâh that is not hard or difficult.

[21] وَبَرَزوا لِلَّهِ جَميعًا فَقالَ الضُّعَفٰؤُا۟ لِلَّذينَ استَكبَروا إِنّا كُنّا لَكُم تَبَعًا فَهَل أَنتُم مُغنونَ عَنّا مِن عَذابِ اللَّهِ مِن شَيءٍ ۚ قالوا لَو هَدىٰنَا اللَّهُ لَهَدَينٰكُم ۖ سَواءٌ عَلَينا أَجَزِعنا أَم صَبَرنا ما لَنا مِن مَحيصٍ
[21] সবাই আল্লাহর সামনে দন্ডায়মান হবে এবং দুর্বলেরা বড়দেরকে বলবেঃ আমরা তো তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম-অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর আযাব থেকে আমাদেরকে কিছুমাত্র রক্ষা করবে কি? তারা বলবেঃ যদি আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে সৎপথ দেখাতেন, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের কে সৎপথ দেখাতাম। এখন তো আমাদের ধৈর্য্যচ্যুত হই কিংবা সবর করি-সবই আমাদের জন্যে সমান আমাদের রেহাই নেই।
[21] And they all shall appear before Allâh (on the Day of Resurrection) then the weak will say to those who were arrogant (chiefs): “Verily, we were following you; can you avail us anything against Allâh’s Torment?” They will say: “Had Allâh guided us, we would have guided you. It makes no difference to us (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience, there is no place of refuge for us.”

[22] وَقالَ الشَّيطٰنُ لَمّا قُضِىَ الأَمرُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَكُم وَعدَ الحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُكُم فَأَخلَفتُكُم ۖ وَما كانَ لِىَ عَلَيكُم مِن سُلطٰنٍ إِلّا أَن دَعَوتُكُم فَاستَجَبتُم لى ۖ فَلا تَلومونى وَلوموا أَنفُسَكُم ۖ ما أَنا۠ بِمُصرِخِكُم وَما أَنتُم بِمُصرِخِىَّ ۖ إِنّى كَفَرتُ بِما أَشرَكتُمونِ مِن قَبلُ ۗ إِنَّ الظّٰلِمينَ لَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ
[22] যখন সব কাজের ফায়সলা হয়ে যাবে, তখন শয়তান বলবেঃ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে সত্য ওয়াদা দিয়েছিলেন এবং আমি তোমাদের সাথে ওয়াদা করেছি, অতঃপর তা ভঙ্গ করেছি। তোমাদের উপর তো আমার কোন ক্ষমতা ছিল না, কিন্তু এতটুকু যে, আমি তোমাদেরকে ডেকেছি, অতঃপর তোমরা আমার কথা মেনে নিয়েছ। অতএব তোমরা আমাকে ভৎর্সনা করো না এবং নিজেদেরকেই ভৎর্সনা কর। আমি তোমাদের উদ্ধারে সাহায্যকারী নই। এবং তোমরাও আমার উদ্ধারে সাহায্যকারী নও। ইতোপূর্বে তোমরা আমাকে যে আল্লাহর শরীক করেছিলে, আমি তা অস্বীকার করি। নিশ্চয় যারা জালেম তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।
[22] And Shaitân (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: “Verily, Allâh promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allâh (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).”

[23] وَأُدخِلَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِم ۖ تَحِيَّتُهُم فيها سَلٰمٌ
[23] এবং যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপণ করে এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে তাদেরকে এমন উদ্যানে প্রবেশ করানো হবে, যার পাদদেশ দিয়ে নির্ঝরিনী সমূহ প্রবাহিত হবে তারা তাতে পালনকর্তার নির্দেশে অনন্তকাল থাকবে। যেখানে তাদের সম্ভাষণ হবে সালাম।
[23] And those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messengers and whatever they brought) and did righteous deeds, will be made to enter Gardens under which rivers flow, – to dwell therein forever (i.e.in Paradise), with the permission of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: Salâm (peace!)

[24] أَلَم تَرَ كَيفَ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصلُها ثابِتٌ وَفَرعُها فِى السَّماءِ
[24] তুমি কি লক্ষ্য কর না, আল্লাহ তা’আলা কেমন উপমা বর্ণনা করেছেনঃ পবিত্র বাক্য হলো পবিত্র বৃক্ষের মত। তার শিকড় মজবুত এবং শাখা আকাশে উত্থিত।
[24] See you not how Allâh sets forth a parable? – A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. very high).

[25] تُؤتى أُكُلَها كُلَّ حينٍ بِإِذنِ رَبِّها ۗ وَيَضرِبُ اللَّهُ الأَمثالَ لِلنّاسِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَذَكَّرونَ
[25] সে পালনকর্তার নির্দেশে অহরহ ফল দান করে। আল্লাহ মানুষের জন্যে দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণণা করেন-যাতে তারা চিন্তা-ভাবনা করে।
[25] Giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord and Allâh sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.

[26] وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبيثَةٍ اجتُثَّت مِن فَوقِ الأَرضِ ما لَها مِن قَرارٍ
[26] এবং নোংরা বাক্যের উদাহরণ হলো নোংরা বৃক্ষ। একে মাটির উপর থেকে উপড়ে নেয়া হয়েছে। এর কোন স্থিতি নেই।
[26] And the parable of an evil word is that of an evil tree uprooted from the surface of earth having no stability.

[27] يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا بِالقَولِ الثّابِتِ فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا وَفِى الءاخِرَةِ ۖ وَيُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الظّٰلِمينَ ۚ وَيَفعَلُ اللَّهُ ما يَشاءُ
[27] আল্লাহ তা’আলা মুমিনদেরকে মজবুত বাক্য দ্বারা মজবুত করেন। পার্থিবজীবনে এবং পরকালে। এবং আল্লাহ জালেমদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেন। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা, তা করেন।
[27] Allâh will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world (i.e. they will keep on worshipping Allâh Alone and none else), and in the Hereafter. And Allâh will cause to go astray those who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.), and Allâh does what He wills.

[28] ۞ أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ بَدَّلوا نِعمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفرًا وَأَحَلّوا قَومَهُم دارَ البَوارِ
[28] তুমি কি তাদের কে দেখনি, যারা আল্লাহর নেয়ামতকে কুফরে পরিণত করেছে এবং স্ব-জাতিকে সম্মুখীন করেছে ধ্বংসের আলয়ে।
[28] Have you not seen those who have changed the Blessings of Allâh into disbelief (by denying Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Message of Islâm), and caused their people to dwell in the house of destruction?

[29] جَهَنَّمَ يَصلَونَها ۖ وَبِئسَ القَرارُ
[29] দোযখের? তারা তাতে প্রবেশ করবে সেটা কতই না মন্দ আবাস।
[29] Hell, in which they will burn, – and what an evil place to settle in!

[30] وَجَعَلوا لِلَّهِ أَندادًا لِيُضِلّوا عَن سَبيلِهِ ۗ قُل تَمَتَّعوا فَإِنَّ مَصيرَكُم إِلَى النّارِ
[30] এবং তারা আল্লাহর জন্যে সমকক্ষ স্থির করেছে, যাতে তারা তার পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেয়। বলুনঃ মজা উপভোগ করে নাও। অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে অগ্নির দিকেই ফিরে যেতে হবে।
[30] And they set up rivals to Allâh, to mislead (men) from His Path! Say: “Enjoy (your brief life)! But certainly, your destination is the (Hell) Fire!”
