[31] مِن فِرعَونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كانَ عالِيًا مِنَ المُسرِفينَ
[31] ফেরাউন সে ছিল সীমালংঘনকারীদের মধ্যে শীর্ষস্থানীয়।
[31] From Fir’aun (Pharaoh); Verily, he was arrogant and was of the Musrifûn (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins).

[32] وَلَقَدِ اختَرنٰهُم عَلىٰ عِلمٍ عَلَى العٰلَمينَ
[32] আমি জেনেশুনে তাদেরকে বিশ্ববাসীদের উপর শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দিয়েছিলাম।
[32] And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the ‘Alamîn (mankind, and jinn) [during the time of Mûsa (Moses)] with knowledge,

[33] وَءاتَينٰهُم مِنَ الءايٰتِ ما فيهِ بَلٰؤٌا۟ مُبينٌ
[33] এবং আমি তাদেরকে এমন নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়েছিলাম যাতে ছিল স্পষ্ট সাহায্য।
[33] And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial.

[34] إِنَّ هٰؤُلاءِ لَيَقولونَ
[34] কাফেররা বলেই থাকে,
[34] Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying:

[35] إِن هِىَ إِلّا مَوتَتُنَا الأولىٰ وَما نَحنُ بِمُنشَرينَ
[35] প্রথম মৃত্যুর মাধ্যমেই আমাদের সবকিছুর অবসান হবে এবং আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব না।
[35] “There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected.

[36] فَأتوا بِـٔابائِنا إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[36] তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও, তবে আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে নিয়ে এস।
[36] “Then bring back our forefathers, if you speak the truth!”

[37] أَهُم خَيرٌ أَم قَومُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ أَهلَكنٰهُم ۖ إِنَّهُم كانوا مُجرِمينَ
[37] ওরা শ্রেষ্ঠ, না তুব্বার সম্প্রদায় ও তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা? আমি ওদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। ওরা ছিল অপরাধী।
[37] Are they better or the people of Tubba’ and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).

[38] وَما خَلَقنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ وَما بَينَهُما لٰعِبينَ
[38] আমি নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছু ক্রীড়াচ্ছলে সৃষ্টি করিনি।
[38] And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play,

[39] ما خَلَقنٰهُما إِلّا بِالحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَعلَمونَ
[39] আমি এগুলো যথাযথ উদ্দেশ্যে সৃষ্টি করেছি; কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই বোঝে না।
[39] We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not.

[40] إِنَّ يَومَ الفَصلِ ميقٰتُهُم أَجمَعينَ
[40] নিশ্চয় ফয়সালার দিন তাদের সবারই নির্ধারিত সময়।
[40] Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allâh will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them,—

[41] يَومَ لا يُغنى مَولًى عَن مَولًى شَيـًٔا وَلا هُم يُنصَرونَ
[41] যেদিন কোন বন্ধুই কোন বন্ধুর উপকারে আসবে না এবং তারা সাহায্যপ্রাপ্তও হবে না।
[41] The Day when Maula (a near relative) cannot avail Maula (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive,

[42] إِلّا مَن رَحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ
[42] তবে আল্লাহ যার প্রতি দয়া করেন, তার কথা ভিন্ন। নিশ্চয় তিনি পরাক্রমশালী দয়াময়।
[42] Except him on whom Allâh has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

[43] إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقّومِ
[43] নিশ্চয় যাক্কুম বৃক্ষ
[43] Verily, the tree of Zaqqûm,

[44] طَعامُ الأَثيمِ
[44] পাপীর খাদ্য হবে;
[44] Will be the food of the sinners,

[45] كَالمُهلِ يَغلى فِى البُطونِ
[45] গলিত তাম্রের মত পেটে ফুটতে থাকবে।
[45] Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies,

[46] كَغَلىِ الحَميمِ
[46] যেমন ফুটে পানি।
[46] Like the boiling of scalding water.

[47] خُذوهُ فَاعتِلوهُ إِلىٰ سَواءِ الجَحيمِ
[47] একে ধর এবং টেনে নিয়ে যাও জাহান্নামের মধ্যস্থলে,
[47] (It will be said) “Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire,

[48] ثُمَّ صُبّوا فَوقَ رَأسِهِ مِن عَذابِ الحَميمِ
[48] অতঃপর তার মাথার উপর ফুটন্ত পানির আযাব ঢেলে দাও,
[48] “Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water,

[49] ذُق إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الكَريمُ
[49] স্বাদ গ্রহণ কর, তুমি তো সম্মানিত, সম্ভ্রান্ত।
[49] “Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous!

[50] إِنَّ هٰذا ما كُنتُم بِهِ تَمتَرونَ
[50] এ সম্পর্কে তোমরা সন্দেহে পতিত ছিলে।
[50] “Verily, this is that whereof you used to doubt!”
