[21] وَما كانَ لَهُ عَلَيهِم مِن سُلطٰنٍ إِلّا لِنَعلَمَ مَن يُؤمِنُ بِالءاخِرَةِ مِمَّن هُوَ مِنها فى شَكٍّ ۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ حَفيظٌ
[21] তাদের উপর শয়তানের কোন ক্ষমতা ছিল না, তবে কে পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে এবং কে তাতে সন্দেহ করে, তা প্রকাশ করাই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। আপনার পালনকর্তা সব বিষয়ে তত্ত্বাবধায়ক।
[21] And he (Iblîs Satan) had no authority over them, except that We might test him, who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. And your Lord is a Hafiz (watchful) over everything. (All¬Knower of everything i.e. He keeps record of every person as regards deeds, and then He will reward them accordingly).

[22] قُلِ ادعُوا الَّذينَ زَعَمتُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ۖ لا يَملِكونَ مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلا فِى الأَرضِ وَما لَهُم فيهِما مِن شِركٍ وَما لَهُ مِنهُم مِن ظَهيرٍ
[22] বলুন, তোমরা তাদেরকে আহবান কর, যাদেরকে উপাস্য মনে করতে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। তারা নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডলের অনু পরিমাণ কোন কিছুর মালিক নয়, এতে তাদের কোন অংশও নেই এবং তাদের কেউ আল্লাহর সহায়কও নয়।
[22] Say: (O Muhammad SAW to polytheists, pagans) “Call upon those whom you assert (to be associate gods) besides Allâh, they possess not even an atom’s (or a small ant’s) weight either in the heavens or on the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor there is for Him any supporter from among them.

[23] وَلا تَنفَعُ الشَّفٰعَةُ عِندَهُ إِلّا لِمَن أَذِنَ لَهُ ۚ حَتّىٰ إِذا فُزِّعَ عَن قُلوبِهِم قالوا ماذا قالَ رَبُّكُم ۖ قالُوا الحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ العَلِىُّ الكَبيرُ
[23] যার জন্যে অনুমতি দেয়া হয়, তার জন্যে ব্যতীত আল্লাহর কাছে কারও সুপারিশ ফলপ্রসূ হবে না। যখন তাদের মন থেকে ভয়-ভীতি দূর হয়ে যাবে, তখন তারা পরস্পরে বলবে, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি বললেন? তারা বলবে, তিনি সত্য বলেছেন এবং তিনিই সবার উপরে মহান।
[23] Intercession with Him profits not, except for him whom He permits. So much so that when fear is banished from their (angels’) hearts, they (angels) say: “What is it that your Lord has said?” They say: “The truth. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

[24] ۞ قُل مَن يَرزُقُكُم مِنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ ۖ وَإِنّا أَو إِيّاكُم لَعَلىٰ هُدًى أَو فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ
[24] বলুন, নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল থেকে কে তোমাদের কে রিযিক দেয়। বলুন, আল্লাহ। আমরা অথবা তোমরা সৎপথে অথবা স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে আছি ও আছ?
[24] Say (O Muhammad SAW to polytheists, pagans) “Who gives you provision from the heavens and the earth?” Say: “Allâh, And verily, (either) we or you are rightly guided or in plain error.”

[25] قُل لا تُسـَٔلونَ عَمّا أَجرَمنا وَلا نُسـَٔلُ عَمّا تَعمَلونَ
[25] বলুন, আমাদের অপরাধের জন্যে তোমরা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে না এবং তোমরা যা কিছু কর, সে সম্পর্কে আমরা জিজ্ঞাসিত হব না।
[25] Say (O Muhammad SAW to polytheists, pagans) “You will not be asked about our sins, nor shall we be asked of what you do.”

[26] قُل يَجمَعُ بَينَنا رَبُّنا ثُمَّ يَفتَحُ بَينَنا بِالحَقِّ وَهُوَ الفَتّاحُ العَليمُ
[26] বলুন, আমাদের পালনকর্তা আমাদেরকে সমবেত করবেন, অতঃপর তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে সঠিকভাবে ফয়সালা করবেন। তিনি ফয়সালাকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
[26] Say: “Our Lord will assemble us all together (on the Day of Resurrection), then He will judge between us with truth. And He is the Just judge, the All-Knower of the true state of affairs.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

[27] قُل أَرونِىَ الَّذينَ أَلحَقتُم بِهِ شُرَكاءَ ۖ كَلّا ۚ بَل هُوَ اللَّهُ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ
[27] বলুন, তোমরা যাদেরকে আল্লাহর সাথে অংশীদাররূপে সংযুক্ত করেছ, তাদেরকে এনে আমাকে দেখাও। বরং তিনিই আল্লাহ, পরাক্রমশীল, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
[27] Say (O Muhammad SAW to polytheists and pagans): “Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners. Nay (there are not at all any partners with Him)! But He is Allâh (Alone), the All¬Mighty, the All¬Wise.”

[28] وَما أَرسَلنٰكَ إِلّا كافَّةً لِلنّاسِ بَشيرًا وَنَذيرًا وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ
[28] আমি আপনাকে সমগ্র মানবজাতির জন্যে সুসংবাদাতা ও সতর্ককারী রূপে পাঠিয়েছি; কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ তা জানে না।
[28] And We have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not

[29] وَيَقولونَ مَتىٰ هٰذَا الوَعدُ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[29] তারা বলে, তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও, তবে বল, এ ওয়াদা কখন বাস্তবায়িত হবে?
[29] And they say: “When is this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) if you are truthful?”

[30] قُل لَكُم ميعادُ يَومٍ لا تَستَـٔخِرونَ عَنهُ ساعَةً وَلا تَستَقدِمونَ
[30] বলুন, তোমাদের জন্যে একটি দিনের ওয়াদা রয়েছে যাকে তোমরা এক মহূর্তও বিলম্বিত করতে পারবে না এবং ত্বরান্বিত ও করতে পারবে না।
[30] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “The appointment to you is for a Day, which you cannot put back for an hour (or a moment) nor put forward.”

[31] وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لَن نُؤمِنَ بِهٰذَا القُرءانِ وَلا بِالَّذى بَينَ يَدَيهِ ۗ وَلَو تَرىٰ إِذِ الظّٰلِمونَ مَوقوفونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِم يَرجِعُ بَعضُهُم إِلىٰ بَعضٍ القَولَ يَقولُ الَّذينَ استُضعِفوا لِلَّذينَ استَكبَروا لَولا أَنتُم لَكُنّا مُؤمِنينَ
[31] কাফেররা বলে, আমরা কখনও এ কোরআনে বিশ্বাস করব না এবং এর পূর্ববর্তী কিতাবেও নয়। আপনি যদি পাপিষ্ঠদেরকে দেখতেন, যখন তাদেরকে তাদের পালনকর্তার সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে, , তখন তারা পরস্পর কথা কাটাকাটি করবে। যাদেরকে দুর্বল মনে করা হত, তারা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, তোমরা না থাকলে আমরা অবশ্যই মুমিন হতাম।
[31] And those who disbelieve say: “We believe not in this Qur’ân nor in that which was before it,” but if you could see when the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong¬doers) will be made to stand before their Lord, how they will cast the (blaming) word one to another! Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: “Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!”

[32] قالَ الَّذينَ استَكبَروا لِلَّذينَ استُضعِفوا أَنَحنُ صَدَدنٰكُم عَنِ الهُدىٰ بَعدَ إِذ جاءَكُم ۖ بَل كُنتُم مُجرِمينَ
[32] অহংকারীরা দুর্বলকে বলবে, তোমাদের কাছে হেদায়েত আসার পর আমরা কি তোমাদেরকে বাধা দিয়েছিলাম? বরং তোমরাই তো ছিলে অপরাধী।
[32] And those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: “Did we keep you back from guidance after it had come to you? Nay, but you were Mujrimûn (polytheists, sinners, disbeliveres, criminals).

[33] وَقالَ الَّذينَ استُضعِفوا لِلَّذينَ استَكبَروا بَل مَكرُ الَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ إِذ تَأمُرونَنا أَن نَكفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَنَجعَلَ لَهُ أَندادًا ۚ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدامَةَ لَمّا رَأَوُا العَذابَ وَجَعَلنَا الأَغلٰلَ فى أَعناقِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا ۚ هَل يُجزَونَ إِلّا ما كانوا يَعمَلونَ
[33] দুর্বলরা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, বরং তোমরাই তো দিবারাত্রি চক্রান্ত করে আমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিতে যেন আমরা আল্লাহকে না মানি এবং তাঁর অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করি তারা যখন শাস্তি দেখবে, তখন মনের অনুতাপ মনেই রাখবে। বস্তুতঃ আমি কাফেরদের গলায় বেড়ী পরাব। তারা সে প্রতিফলই পেয়ে থাকে যা তারা করত।
[33] Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: “Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day, when you ordered us to disbelieve in Allâh and set up rivals to Him!” And each of them (parties) will conceal their own regrets (for disobeying Allâh during this worldly life), when they behold the torment. And We shall put iron collars round the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught except what they used to do?

[34] وَما أَرسَلنا فى قَريَةٍ مِن نَذيرٍ إِلّا قالَ مُترَفوها إِنّا بِما أُرسِلتُم بِهِ كٰفِرونَ
[34] কোন জনপদে সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করা হলেই তার বিত্তশালী অধিবাসীরা বলতে শুরু করেছে, তোমরা যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ, আমরা তা মানি না।
[34] And We did not send a warner to a township, but those who were given the worldly wealth and luxuries among them said: “We believe not in the (Message) with which you have been sent.”

[35] وَقالوا نَحنُ أَكثَرُ أَموٰلًا وَأَولٰدًا وَما نَحنُ بِمُعَذَّبينَ
[35] তারা আরও বলেছে, আমরা ধনে-জনে সমৃদ্ধ, সুতরাং আমরা শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত হব না।
[35] And they say: “We are more in wealth and in children, and we are not going to be punished.”

[36] قُل إِنَّ رَبّى يَبسُطُ الرِّزقَ لِمَن يَشاءُ وَيَقدِرُ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ
[36] বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং পরিমিত দেন। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ তা বোঝে না।
[36] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Verily, my Lord enlarges the provision to whom He wills and restricts, but most men know not.”

[37] وَما أَموٰلُكُم وَلا أَولٰدُكُم بِالَّتى تُقَرِّبُكُم عِندَنا زُلفىٰ إِلّا مَن ءامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَأُولٰئِكَ لَهُم جَزاءُ الضِّعفِ بِما عَمِلوا وَهُم فِى الغُرُفٰتِ ءامِنونَ
[37] তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তোমাদেরকে আমার নিকটবর্তী করবে না। তবে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, তারা তাদের কর্মের বহুগুণ প্রতিদান পাবে এবং তারা সুউচ্চ প্রাসাদে নিরাপদে থাকবে।
[37] And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us (i.e. pleases Allâh), but only he who believes (in the Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds (will please us); as for such, there will be twofold reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (Paradise) in peace and security.

[38] وَالَّذينَ يَسعَونَ فى ءايٰتِنا مُعٰجِزينَ أُولٰئِكَ فِى العَذابِ مُحضَرونَ
[38] আর যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার অপপ্রয়াসে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদেরকে আযাবে উপস্থিত করা হবে।
[38] And those who strive against Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, will be brought to the torment.

[39] قُل إِنَّ رَبّى يَبسُطُ الرِّزقَ لِمَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ وَيَقدِرُ لَهُ ۚ وَما أَنفَقتُم مِن شَيءٍ فَهُوَ يُخلِفُهُ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيرُ الرّٰزِقينَ
[39] বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং সীমিত পরিমাণে দেন। তোমরা যা কিছু ব্যয় কর, তিনি তার বিনিময় দেন। তিনি উত্তম রিযিক দাতা।
[39] Say: “Truly, my Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and (also) restricts (it) for him, and whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allâh’s Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers.”

[40] وَيَومَ يَحشُرُهُم جَميعًا ثُمَّ يَقولُ لِلمَلٰئِكَةِ أَهٰؤُلاءِ إِيّاكُم كانوا يَعبُدونَ
[40] যেদিন তিনি তাদের সবাইকে একত্রিত করবেন এবং ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলবেন, এরা কি তোমাদেরই পূজা করত?
[40] And (remember) the Day when He will gather them all together, then He will say to the angels: “Was it you that these people used to worship?”
