[41] وَلَقَدِ استُهزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِن قَبلِكَ فَحاقَ بِالَّذينَ سَخِروا مِنهُم ما كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ
[41] আপনার পূর্বেও অনেক রাসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করা হয়েছে। অতঃপর যে বিষয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা করত তা উল্টো ঠাট্টাকারীদের উপরই আপতিত হয়েছে।
[41] Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock.

[42] قُل مَن يَكلَؤُكُم بِالَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ مِنَ الرَّحمٰنِ ۗ بَل هُم عَن ذِكرِ رَبِّهِم مُعرِضونَ
[42] বলুনঃ ‘রহমান’ থেকে কে তোমাদেরকে হেফাযত করবে রাত্রে ও দিনে। বরং তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে রাখে।
[42] Say: “Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Gracious (Allâh)?” Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord.

[43] أَم لَهُم ءالِهَةٌ تَمنَعُهُم مِن دونِنا ۚ لا يَستَطيعونَ نَصرَ أَنفُسِهِم وَلا هُم مِنّا يُصحَبونَ
[43] তবে কি আমি ব্যতীত তাদের এমন দেব-দেবী আছে যারা তাদেরকে রক্ষা করবে? তারা তো নিজেদেরই সাহায্য করতে সক্ষম নয় এবং তারা আমার মোকাবেলায় সাহায্যকারীও পাবে না।
[43] Or have they âlihah (gods) who can guard them from Us? They have no power to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us (i.e. from Our Torment).

[44] بَل مَتَّعنا هٰؤُلاءِ وَءاباءَهُم حَتّىٰ طالَ عَلَيهِمُ العُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلا يَرَونَ أَنّا نَأتِى الأَرضَ نَنقُصُها مِن أَطرافِها ۚ أَفَهُمُ الغٰلِبونَ
[44] বরং আমি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের বাপ-দাদাকে ভোগসম্বার দিয়েছিলাম, এমনকি তাদের আয়ুস্কালও দীর্ঘ হয়েছিল। তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি তাদের দেশকে চতুর্দিক থেকে হ্রাস করে আনছি। এরপরও কি তারা বিজয়ী হবে?
[44] Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will overcome.

[45] قُل إِنَّما أُنذِرُكُم بِالوَحىِ ۚ وَلا يَسمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعاءَ إِذا ما يُنذَرونَ
[45] বলুনঃ আমি তো কেবল ওহীর মাধ্যমেই তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করি, কিন্তু বধিরদেরকে যখন সতর্ক করা হয়, তখন তারা সে সতর্কবাণী শোনে না।
[45] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “I warn you only by the revelation (from Allâh and not by the opinion of the religious scholars and others). But the deaf (who follow the religious scholars and others blindly) will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned [(i.e. one should follow only the Qur’ân and the Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, and the statements of Prophet Muhammad SAW , as the Companions of the Prophet SAW did)].

[46] وَلَئِن مَسَّتهُم نَفحَةٌ مِن عَذابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقولُنَّ يٰوَيلَنا إِنّا كُنّا ظٰلِمينَ
[46] আপনার পালনকর্তার আযাবের কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা বলতে থাকবে, হায় আমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য, আমরা অবশ্যই পাপী ছিলাম।
[46] And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: “Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).

[47] وَنَضَعُ المَوٰزينَ القِسطَ لِيَومِ القِيٰمَةِ فَلا تُظلَمُ نَفسٌ شَيـًٔا ۖ وَإِن كانَ مِثقالَ حَبَّةٍ مِن خَردَلٍ أَتَينا بِها ۗ وَكَفىٰ بِنا حٰسِبينَ
[47] আমি কেয়ামতের দিন ন্যায়বিচারের মানদন্ড স্থাপন করব। সুতরাং কারও প্রতি জুলুম হবে না। যদি কোন আমল সরিষার দানা পরিমাণও হয়, আমি তা উপস্থিত করব এবং হিসাব গ্রহণের জন্যে আমিই যথেষ্ট।
[47] And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We to take account.

[48] وَلَقَد ءاتَينا موسىٰ وَهٰرونَ الفُرقانَ وَضِياءً وَذِكرًا لِلمُتَّقينَ
[48] আমি মূসা ও হারুণকে দান করেছিলাম মীমাংসাকারী গ্রন্থ, আলো ও উপদেশ, আল্লাহ ভীরুদের জন্যে
[48] And indeed We granted to Mûsa (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron) the criterion (of right and wrong), and a shining light [i.e. the Taurât (Torah)] and a Reminder for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious and righteous persons – see V.2:2).

[49] الَّذينَ يَخشَونَ رَبَّهُم بِالغَيبِ وَهُم مِنَ السّاعَةِ مُشفِقونَ
[49] যারা না দেখেই তাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় করে এবং কেয়ামতের ভয়ে শঙ্কিত।
[49] Those who fear their Lord without seeing Him, and they are afraid of the Hour.

[50] وَهٰذا ذِكرٌ مُبارَكٌ أَنزَلنٰهُ ۚ أَفَأَنتُم لَهُ مُنكِرونَ
[50] এবং এটা একটা বরকতময় উপদেশ, যা আমি নাযিল করেছি। অতএব তোমরা কি একে অস্বীকার কর?
[50] And this is a blessed Reminder (the Qur’ân) which We have sent down, will you then (dare to) deny it?

[51] ۞ وَلَقَد ءاتَينا إِبرٰهيمَ رُشدَهُ مِن قَبلُ وَكُنّا بِهِ عٰلِمينَ
[51] আর, আমি ইতিপূর্বে ইব্রাহীমকে তার সৎপন্থা দান করেছিলাম এবং আমি তার সম্পর্কে সম্যক পরিজ্ঞাত ও ছিলাম।
[51] And indeed We bestowed aforetime on Ibrâhim (Abraham) his (portion of) guidance, and We were Well-Acquainted with him (as to his Belief in the Oneness of Allâh).

[52] إِذ قالَ لِأَبيهِ وَقَومِهِ ما هٰذِهِ التَّماثيلُ الَّتى أَنتُم لَها عٰكِفونَ
[52] যখন তিনি তাঁর পিতা ও তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ এই মূর্তিগুলো কী, যাদের তোমরা পূজারী হয়ে বসে আছ।
[52] When he said to his father and his people: “What are these images, to which you are devoted?”

[53] قالوا وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا لَها عٰبِدينَ
[53] তারা বললঃ আমরা আমাদের বাপ-দাদাকে এদের পুজা করতে দেখেছি।
[53] They said:”We found our fathers worshipping them.”

[54] قالَ لَقَد كُنتُم أَنتُم وَءاباؤُكُم فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ
[54] তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা প্রকাশ্য গোমরাহীতে আছ এবং তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারাও।
[54] He said: “Indeed you and your fathers have been in manifest error.”

[55] قالوا أَجِئتَنا بِالحَقِّ أَم أَنتَ مِنَ اللّٰعِبينَ
[55] তারা বললঃ তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে সত্যসহ আগমন করেছ, না তুমি কৌতুক করছ?
[55] They said: “Have you brought us the truth, or are you one of those who play about?”

[56] قالَ بَل رَبُّكُم رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ الَّذى فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنا۠ عَلىٰ ذٰلِكُم مِنَ الشّٰهِدينَ
[56] তিনি বললেনঃ না, তিনিই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা, যিনি এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন; এবং আমি এই বিষয়েরই সাক্ষ্যদাতা।
[56] He said: “Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them and to that I am one of the witnesses.

[57] وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكيدَنَّ أَصنٰمَكُم بَعدَ أَن تُوَلّوا مُدبِرينَ
[57] আল্লাহর কসম, যখন তোমরা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যাবে, তখন আমি তোমাদের মূর্তিগুলোর ব্যাপারে একটা ব্যবস্থা অবলম্বন করব।
[57] “And by Allâh, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs.”

[58] فَجَعَلَهُم جُذٰذًا إِلّا كَبيرًا لَهُم لَعَلَّهُم إِلَيهِ يَرجِعونَ
[58] অতঃপর তিনি সেগুলোকে চূর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ করে দিলেন ওদের প্রধানটি ব্যতীতঃ যাতে তারা তাঁর কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তন করে।
[58] So he broke them to pieces, (all) except the biggest of them, that they might turn to it.

[59] قالوا مَن فَعَلَ هٰذا بِـٔالِهَتِنا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظّٰلِمينَ
[59] তারা বললঃ আমাদের উপাস্যদের সাথে এরূপ ব্যবহার কে করল? সে তো নিশ্চয়ই কোন জালিম।
[59] They said: “Who has done this to our âlihah (gods)? He must indeed be one of the Zalimun (wrong-doers).”

[60] قالوا سَمِعنا فَتًى يَذكُرُهُم يُقالُ لَهُ إِبرٰهيمُ
[60] কতক লোকে বললঃ আমরা এক যুবককে তাদের সম্পর্কে বিরূপ আলোচনা করতে শুনেছি; তাকে ইব্রাহীম বলা হয়।
[60] They said: “We heard a young man talking against them, who is called Ibrâhim (Abraham).”
