[11] وَإِن فاتَكُم شَيءٌ مِن أَزوٰجِكُم إِلَى الكُفّارِ
فَعاقَبتُم فَـٔاتُوا الَّذينَ ذَهَبَت أَزوٰجُهُم مِثلَ ما أَنفَقوا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ الَّذى أَنتُم بِهِ مُؤمِنونَ
[11] তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের মধ্যে যদি কেউ হাতছাড়া হয়ে কাফেরদের কাছে থেকে যায়, অতঃপর তোমরা সুযোগ পাও, তখন যাদের স্ত্রী হাতছাড়া হয়ে গেছে, তাদেরকে তাদের ব্যয়কৃত অর্থের সমপরিমাণ অর্থ প্রদান কর এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যার প্রতি তোমরা বিশ্বাস রাখ।
[11] And if any of your wives have gone from you to the disbelievers, (as
apostates and you asked them to retrun back your Mahr but they refused) — then
you went our for a Ghazwah (military expedition) (against them and) gained
booty; then pay from that booty to those whose wives have gone, the equivalent
of what they had spent (on their Mahr). And fear Allâh in Whom you believe.
