بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] الحاقَّةُ
[1] সুনিশ্চিত বিষয়।
[1] The Inevitable (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!

[2] مَا الحاقَّةُ
[2] সুনিশ্চিত বিষয় কি?
[2] What is the Inevitable?

[3] وَما أَدرىٰكَ مَا الحاقَّةُ
[3] আপনি কি কিছু জানেন, সেই সুনিশ্চিত বিষয় কি?
[3] And what will make you know what the Inevitable is?

[4] كَذَّبَت ثَمودُ وَعادٌ بِالقارِعَةِ
[4] আদ ও সামুদ গোত্র মহাপ্রলয়কে মিথ্যা বলেছিল।
[4] Thamûd and ‘Ad people denied the Qâri’ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]!

[5] فَأَمّا ثَمودُ فَأُهلِكوا بِالطّاغِيَةِ
[5] অতঃপর সমুদ গোত্রকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল এক প্রলয়ংকর বিপর্যয় দ্বারা।
[5] As for Thamûd, they were destroyed by the awful cry!

[6] وَأَمّا عادٌ فَأُهلِكوا بِريحٍ صَرصَرٍ عاتِيَةٍ
[6] এবং আদ গোত্রকে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল এক প্রচন্ড ঝঞ্জাবায়ূ,
[6] And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind!

[7] سَخَّرَها عَلَيهِم سَبعَ لَيالٍ وَثَمٰنِيَةَ أَيّامٍ حُسومًا فَتَرَى القَومَ فيها صَرعىٰ كَأَنَّهُم أَعجازُ نَخلٍ خاوِيَةٍ
[7] যা তিনি প্রবাহিত করেছিলেন তাদের উপর সাত রাত্রি ও আট দিবস পর্যন্ত অবিরাম। আপনি তাদেরকে দেখতেন যে, তারা অসার খর্জুর কান্ডের ন্যায় ভূপাতিত হয়ে রয়েছে।
[7] Which Allâh imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!

[8] فَهَل تَرىٰ لَهُم مِن باقِيَةٍ
[8] আপনি তাদের কোন অস্তিত্ব দেখতে পান কি?
[8] Do you see any remnants of them?

[9] وَجاءَ فِرعَونُ وَمَن قَبلَهُ وَالمُؤتَفِكٰتُ بِالخاطِئَةِ
[9] ফেরাউন, তাঁর পূর্ববর্তীরা এবং উল্টে যাওয়া বস্তিবাসীরা গুরুতর পাপ করেছিল।
[9] And Fir’aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lut (Lot)] committed sin,

[10] فَعَصَوا رَسولَ رَبِّهِم فَأَخَذَهُم أَخذَةً رابِيَةً
[10] তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল। ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে কঠোরহস্তে পাকড়াও করলেন।
[10] And they disobeyed their Lord’s Messenger, so He seized them with a strong punishment.

[11] إِنّا لَمّا طَغَا الماءُ حَمَلنٰكُم فِى الجارِيَةِ
[11] যখন জলোচ্ছ্বাস হয়েছিল, তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে চলন্ত নৌযানে আরোহণ করিয়েছিলাম।
[11] Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nûh’s (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nûh (Noah)].

[12] لِنَجعَلَها لَكُم تَذكِرَةً وَتَعِيَها أُذُنٌ وٰعِيَةٌ
[12] যাতে এ ঘটনা তোমাদের জন্যে স্মৃতির বিষয় এবং কান এটাকে উপদেশ গ্রহণের উপযোগী রূপে গ্রহণ করে।
[12] That We might make it a (Noah’s ship)an admonition for you, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears.

[13] فَإِذا نُفِخَ فِى الصّورِ نَفخَةٌ وٰحِدَةٌ
[13] যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেয়া হবে-একটি মাত্র ফুৎকার
[13] Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one),

[14] وَحُمِلَتِ الأَرضُ وَالجِبالُ فَدُكَّتا دَكَّةً وٰحِدَةً
[14] এবং পৃথিবী ও পর্বতমালা উত্তোলিত হবে ও চুর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ করে দেয়া হবে,
[14] And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing.

[15] فَيَومَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الواقِعَةُ
[15] সেদিন কেয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে।
[15] Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall.

[16] وَانشَقَّتِ السَّماءُ فَهِىَ يَومَئِذٍ واهِيَةٌ
[16] সেদিন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে ও বিক্ষিপ্ত হবে।
[16] And the heaven will berent asunder, for that Day it (the heaven) will be frail, and torn up.

[17] وَالمَلَكُ عَلىٰ أَرجائِها ۚ وَيَحمِلُ عَرشَ رَبِّكَ فَوقَهُم يَومَئِذٍ ثَمٰنِيَةٌ
[17] এবং ফেরেশতাগণ আকাশের প্রান্তদেশে থাকবে ও আট জন ফেরেশতা আপনার পালনকর্তার আরশকে তাদের উর্ধ্বে বহন করবে।
[17] And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.

[18] يَومَئِذٍ تُعرَضونَ لا تَخفىٰ مِنكُم خافِيَةٌ
[18] সেদিন তোমাদেরকে উপস্থিত করা হবে। তোমাদের কোন কিছু গোপন থাকবে না।
[18] That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden.

[19] فَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ بِيَمينِهِ فَيَقولُ هاؤُمُ اقرَءوا كِتٰبِيَه
[19] অতঃপর যার আমলনামা ডান হাতে দেয়া হবে, সে বলবেঃ নাও, তোমরাও আমলনামা পড়ে দেখ।
[19] Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: “Here! read my Record!

[20] إِنّى ظَنَنتُ أَنّى مُلٰقٍ حِسابِيَه
[20] আমি জানতাম যে, আমাকে হিসাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে।
[20] “Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!”
