بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَصَدّوا عَن سَبيلِ اللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعمٰلَهُم
[1] যারা কুফরী করে এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করে, আল্লাহ তাদের সকল কর্ম ব্যর্থ করে দেন।
[1] Those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allâh, and in the Message of Prophet Muhammad SAW ], and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh (Islâmic Monotheism), He will render their deeds vain .

[2] وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَءامَنوا بِما نُزِّلَ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ الحَقُّ مِن رَبِّهِم ۙ كَفَّرَ عَنهُم سَيِّـٔاتِهِم وَأَصلَحَ بالَهُم
[2] আর যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে, সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে এবং তাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে মুহাম্মদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ সত্যে বিশ্বাস করে, আল্লাহ তাদের মন্দ কর্মসমূহ মার্জনা করেন এবং তাদের অবস্থা ভাল করে দেন।
[2] But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad (SAW) — for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state.

[3] ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا البٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الحَقَّ مِن رَبِّهِم ۚ كَذٰلِكَ يَضرِبُ اللَّهُ لِلنّاسِ أَمثٰلَهُم
[3] এটা এ কারণে যে, যারা কাফের, তারা বাতিলের অনুসরণ করে এবং যারা বিশ্বাসী, তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার নিকট থেকে আগত সত্যের অনুসরণ করে। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ মানুষের জন্যে তাদের দৃষ্টান্তসমূহ বর্ণনা করেন।
[3] That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allâh set forth for mankind their parables.

[4] فَإِذا لَقيتُمُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا فَضَربَ الرِّقابِ حَتّىٰ إِذا أَثخَنتُموهُم فَشُدُّوا الوَثاقَ فَإِمّا مَنًّا بَعدُ وَإِمّا فِداءً حَتّىٰ تَضَعَ الحَربُ أَوزارَها ۚ ذٰلِكَ وَلَو يَشاءُ اللَّهُ لَانتَصَرَ مِنهُم وَلٰكِن لِيَبلُوَا۟ بَعضَكُم بِبَعضٍ ۗ وَالَّذينَ قُتِلوا فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعمٰلَهُم
[4] অতঃপর যখন তোমরা কাফেরদের সাথে যুদ্ধে অবতীর্ণ হও, তখন তাদের গর্দার মার, অবশেষে যখন তাËেদরকে পূর্ণরূপে পরাভূত কর তখন তাদেরকে শক্ত করে বেধে ফেল। অতঃপর হয় তাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ কর, না হয় তাদের নিকট হতে মুক্তিপণ লও। তোমরা যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাবে যে পর্যন্ত না শত্রুপক্ষ অস্ত্র সমর্পণ করবে! একথা শুনলে। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিতে পারতেন। কিন্তু তিনি তোমাদের কতককে কতকের দ্বারা পরীক্ষা করতে চান। যারা আল্লাহর পথে শহীদ হয়, আল্লাহ কখনই তাদের কর্ম বিনষ্ট করবেন না।
[4] So, when you meet (in fight — Jihâd in Allâh’s Cause), those who disbelieve smite (their) necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islâm), until the war lays down its burden. Thus [you are ordered by Allâh to continue in carrying out Jihâd against the disbelievers till they embrace Islâm and are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire or at least come under your protection], but if it had been Allâh’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test some of you with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allâh, He will never let their deeds be lost.

[5] سَيَهديهِم وَيُصلِحُ بالَهُم
[5] তিনি তাদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন করবেন এবং তাদের অবস্থা ভাল করবেন।
[5] He will guide them and set right their state.

[6] وَيُدخِلُهُمُ الجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَها لَهُم
[6] অতঃপর তিনি তাদেরকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যা তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দিয়েছেন।
[6] And admit them to Paradise which He has made known to them (i.e. they will know their places in Paradise better than they used to know their homes in the world). (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

[7] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُركُم وَيُثَبِّت أَقدامَكُم
[7] হে বিশ্বাসীগণ! যদি তোমরা আল্লাহকে সাহায্য কর, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে সাহায্য করবেন এবং তোমাদের পা দৃঢ়প্রতিষ্ঠ করবেন।
[7] O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allâh, He will help you, and make your foothold firm.

[8] وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا فَتَعسًا لَهُم وَأَضَلَّ أَعمٰلَهُم
[8] আর যারা কাফের, তাদের জন্যে আছে দুর্গতি এবং তিনি তাদের কর্ম বিনষ্ট করে দিবেন।
[8] But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allâh) will make their deeds vain.

[9] ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُم كَرِهوا ما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأَحبَطَ أَعمٰلَهُم
[9] এটা এজন্যে যে, আল্লাহ যা নাযিল করেছেন, তারা তা পছন্দ করে না। অতএব, আল্লাহ তাদের কর্ম ব্যর্থ করে দিবেন।
[9] That is because they hate that which Allâh has sent down (this Qur’ân and Islâmic laws etc.), so He has made their deeds fruitless.

[10] ۞ أَفَلَم يَسيروا فِى الأَرضِ فَيَنظُروا كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ دَمَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِم ۖ وَلِلكٰفِرينَ أَمثٰلُها
[10] তারা কি পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ করেনি অতঃপর দেখেনি যে, তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কি হয়েছে? আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছেন এবং কাফেরদের অবস্থা এরূপই হবে।
[10] Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allâh destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers.

[11] ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَولَى الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَأَنَّ الكٰفِرينَ لا مَولىٰ لَهُم
[11] এটা এজন্যে যে, আল্লাহ মুমিনদের হিতৈষী বন্ধু এবং কাফেরদের কোন হিতৈষী বন্ধু নাই।
[11] That is because Allâh is the Maula (Lord, Master, Helper, Protector, etc.) of those who believe, and the disbelievers have no Maula (lord, master, helper, protector).

[12] إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدخِلُ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ ۖ وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا يَتَمَتَّعونَ وَيَأكُلونَ كَما تَأكُلُ الأَنعٰمُ وَالنّارُ مَثوًى لَهُم
[12] যারা বিশ্বাস করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার নিম্নদেশে নির্ঝরিণীসমূহ প্রবাহিত হয়। আর যারা কাফের, তারা ভোগ-বিলাসে মত্ত থাকে এবং চতুস্পদ জন্তুর মত আহার করে। তাদের বাসস্থান জাহান্নাম।
[12] Certainly! Allâh will admit those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), while those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat, and the Fire will be their abode.

[13] وَكَأَيِّن مِن قَريَةٍ هِىَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِن قَريَتِكَ الَّتى أَخرَجَتكَ أَهلَكنٰهُم فَلا ناصِرَ لَهُم
[13] যে জনপদ আপনাকে বহিস্কার করেছে, তদপেক্ষা কত শক্তিশালী জনপদকে আমি ধ্বংস করেছি, অতঃপর তাদেরকে সাহায্য করার কেউ ছিল না।
[13] And many a town, stronger than your town (Makkah) (O Muhammad SAW) which has driven you out We have destroyed. And there was none to help them.

[14] أَفَمَن كانَ عَلىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِن رَبِّهِ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعوا أَهواءَهُم
[14] যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত নিদর্শন অনুসরণ করে, সে কি তার সমান, যার কাছে তার মন্দ কর্ম শোভনীয় করা হয়েছে এবং যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে।
[14] Is he who is on a clear proof from his Lord, like those for whom their evil deeds that they do are beautified for them, while they follow their own lusts (evil desires)?

[15] مَثَلُ الجَنَّةِ الَّتى وُعِدَ المُتَّقونَ ۖ فيها أَنهٰرٌ مِن ماءٍ غَيرِ ءاسِنٍ وَأَنهٰرٌ مِن لَبَنٍ لَم يَتَغَيَّر طَعمُهُ وَأَنهٰرٌ مِن خَمرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشّٰرِبينَ وَأَنهٰرٌ مِن عَسَلٍ مُصَفًّى ۖ وَلَهُم فيها مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ وَمَغفِرَةٌ مِن رَبِّهِم ۖ كَمَن هُوَ خٰلِدٌ فِى النّارِ وَسُقوا ماءً حَميمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمعاءَهُم
[15] পরহেযগারদেরকে যে জান্নাতের ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে, তার অবস্থা নিম্নরূপঃ তাতে আছে পানির নহর, নির্মল দুধের নহর যারা স্বাদ অপরিবর্তনীয়, পানকারীদের জন্যে সুস্বাদু শরাবের নহর এবং পরিশোধিত মধুর নহর। তথায় তাদের জন্যে আছে রকমারি ফল-মূল ও তাদের পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা। পরহেযগাররা কি তাদের সমান, যারা জাহান্নামে অনন্তকাল থাকবে এবং যাদেরকে পান করতে দেয়া হবে ফুটন্ত পানি অতঃপর তা তাদের নাড়িভূঁড়ি ছিন্ন বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেবে?
[15] The description of Paradise which the Muttaqûn (pious – see V.2:2) have been promised (is that) in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed, rivers of milk of which the taste never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit; and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels?

[16] وَمِنهُم مَن يَستَمِعُ إِلَيكَ حَتّىٰ إِذا خَرَجوا مِن عِندِكَ قالوا لِلَّذينَ أوتُوا العِلمَ ماذا قالَ ءانِفًا ۚ أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ قُلوبِهِم وَاتَّبَعوا أَهواءَهُم
[16] তাদের মধ্যে কতক আপনার দিকে কান পাতে, অতঃপর যখন আপনার কাছ থেকে বাইরে যায়, তখন যারা শিক্ষিত, তাদেরকে বলেঃ এইমাত্র তিনি কি বললেন ? এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে।
[16] And among them are some who listen to you (O Muhammad SAW) till, when they go out from you, they say to those who have received knowledge: “What has he said just now? Such are men whose hearts Allâh has sealed, and they follow their lusts (evil desires).

[17] وَالَّذينَ اهتَدَوا زادَهُم هُدًى وَءاتىٰهُم تَقوىٰهُم
[17] যারা সৎপথপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, তাদের সৎপথপ্রাপ্তি আরও বেড়ে যায় এবং আল্লাহ তাদেরকে তাকওয়া দান করেন।
[17] While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance, and bestows on them their piety.

[18] فَهَل يَنظُرونَ إِلَّا السّاعَةَ أَن تَأتِيَهُم بَغتَةً ۖ فَقَد جاءَ أَشراطُها ۚ فَأَنّىٰ لَهُم إِذا جاءَتهُم ذِكرىٰهُم
[18] তারা শুধু এই অপেক্ষাই করছে যে, কেয়ামত অকস্মাৎ তাদের কাছে এসে পড়ুক। বস্তুতঃ কেয়ামতের লক্ষণসমূহ তো এসেই পড়েছে। সুতরাং কেয়ামত এসে পড়লে তারা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করবে কেমন করে ?
[18] Do they then await (anything) other than the Hour, that it should come upon them suddenly? But some of its portents (indications and signs) have already come, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their reminder?

[19] فَاعلَم أَنَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاستَغفِر لِذَنبِكَ وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِنٰتِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُم وَمَثوىٰكُم
[19] জেনে রাখুন, আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করুন, আপনার ক্রটির জন্যে এবং মুমিন পুরুষ ও নারীদের জন্যে। আল্লাহ, তোমাদের গতিবিধি ও অবস্থান সম্পর্কে জ্ঞাত।
[19] So know (O Muhammad SAW) that Lâ ilâha ill-allâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women. And Allâh knows well your moving about, and your place of rest (in your homes).

[20] وَيَقولُ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لَولا نُزِّلَت سورَةٌ ۖ فَإِذا أُنزِلَت سورَةٌ مُحكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فيهَا القِتالُ ۙ رَأَيتَ الَّذينَ فى قُلوبِهِم مَرَضٌ يَنظُرونَ إِلَيكَ نَظَرَ المَغشِىِّ عَلَيهِ مِنَ المَوتِ ۖ فَأَولىٰ لَهُم
[20] যারা মুমিন, তারা বলেঃ একটি সূরা নাযিল হয় না কেন? অতঃপর যখন কোন দ্ব্যর্থহীন সূরা নাযিল হয় এবং তাতে জেহাদের উল্লেখ করা হয়, তখন যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, আপনি তাদেরকে মৃত্যুভয়ে মূর্ছাপ্রাপ্ত মানুষের মত আপনার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে দেখবেন। সুতরাং ধ্বংস তাদের জন্যে।
[20] Those who believe say: “Why is not a Sûrah (chapter of the Qur’ân) sent down (for us)? But when a decisive Sûrah (explaining and ordering things) is sent down, and fighting (Jihâd — holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause) is mentioned (i.e. ordained) therein, you will see those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) looking at you with a look of one fainting to death. But it was better for them (hypocrites, to listen to Allâh and to obey Him).
