بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] طسم
[1] ত্বা, সীন, মীম।
[1] Tâ¬Sîn¬Mîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

[2] تِلكَ ءايٰتُ الكِتٰبِ المُبينِ
[2] এগুলো সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের আয়াত।
[2] These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Qur’ân, which was promised by Allâh in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear].

[3] لَعَلَّكَ بٰخِعٌ نَفسَكَ أَلّا يَكونوا مُؤمِنينَ
[3] তারা বিশ্বাস করে না বলে আপনি হয়তো মর্মব্যথায় আত্নঘাতী হবেন।
[3] It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) i.e. in your Message of Islâmic Monotheism].

[4] إِن نَشَأ نُنَزِّل عَلَيهِم مِنَ السَّماءِ ءايَةً فَظَلَّت أَعنٰقُهُم لَها خٰضِعينَ
[4] আমি যদি ইচ্ছা করি, তবে আকাশ থেকে তাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন নাযিল করতে পারি। অতঃপর তারা এর সামনে নত হয়ে যাবে।
[4] If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility.

[5] وَما يَأتيهِم مِن ذِكرٍ مِنَ الرَّحمٰنِ مُحدَثٍ إِلّا كانوا عَنهُ مُعرِضينَ
[5] যখনই তাদের কাছে রহমান এর কোন নতুন উপদেশ আসে, তখনই তারা তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
[5] And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Gracious (Allâh), but they turn away therefrom.

[6] فَقَد كَذَّبوا فَسَيَأتيهِم أَنبٰؤُا۟ ما كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ
[6] অতএব তারা তো মিথ্যারোপ করেছেই; সুতরাং যে বিষয় নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত, তার যথার্থ স্বরূপ শীঘ্রই তাদের কাছে পৌছবে।
[6] So they have indeed denied (the truth — this Qur’ân), then the news of what they mocked at, will come to them.

[7] أَوَلَم يَرَوا إِلَى الأَرضِ كَم أَنبَتنا فيها مِن كُلِّ زَوجٍ كَريمٍ
[7] তারা কি ভুপৃষ্ঠের প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত করে না? আমি তাতে সর্বপ্রকার বিশেষ-বস্তু কত উদগত করেছি।
[7] Do they not observe the earth,— how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein?

[8] إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً ۖ وَما كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُؤمِنينَ
[8] নিশ্চয় এতে নিদর্শন আছে, কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাসী নয়।
[8] Verily, in this is an Ayâh (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers.

[9] وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ
[9] আপনার পালনকর্তা তো পরাক্রমশালী পরম দয়ালু।
[9] And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

[10] وَإِذ نادىٰ رَبُّكَ موسىٰ أَنِ ائتِ القَومَ الظّٰلِمينَ
[10] যখন আপনার পালনকর্তা মূসাকে ডেকে বললেনঃ তুমি পাপিষ্ঠ সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট যাও;
[10] And (remember) when your Lord called Mûsa (Moses) (saying): “Go to the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doing),—

[11] قَومَ فِرعَونَ ۚ أَلا يَتَّقونَ
[11] ফেরাউনের সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট; তারা কি ভয় করে না?
[11] The people of Fir’aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allâh and become righteous?”

[12] قالَ رَبِّ إِنّى أَخافُ أَن يُكَذِّبونِ
[12] সে বলল, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার আশংকা হচ্ছে যে, তারা আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলে দেবে।
[12] He said: “My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me,

[13] وَيَضيقُ صَدرى وَلا يَنطَلِقُ لِسانى فَأَرسِل إِلىٰ هٰرونَ
[13] এবং আমার মন হতবল হয়ে পড়ে এবং আমার জিহবা অচল হয়ে যায়। সুতরাং হারুনের কাছে বার্তা প্রেরণ করুন।
[13] “And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Hârûn (Aaron) (to come along with me).

[14] وَلَهُم عَلَىَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخافُ أَن يَقتُلونِ
[14] আমার বিরুদ্ধে তাদের অভিযোগ আছে। অতএব আমি আশংকা করি যে, তারা আমাকে হত্যা করবে।
[14] “And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me.”

[15] قالَ كَلّا ۖ فَاذهَبا بِـٔايٰتِنا ۖ إِنّا مَعَكُم مُستَمِعونَ
[15] আল্লাহ বলেন, কখনই নয় তোমরা উভয়ে যাও আমার নিদর্শনাবলী নিয়ে। আমি তোমাদের সাথে থেকে শোনব।
[15] (Allâh) said: “Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening.

[16] فَأتِيا فِرعَونَ فَقولا إِنّا رَسولُ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[16] অতএব তোমরা ফেরআউনের কাছে যাও এবং বল, আমরা বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তার রসূল।
[16] “And go both of you to Fir’aun (Pharaoh), and say: ‘We are the Messengers of the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists),

[17] أَن أَرسِل مَعَنا بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ
[17] যাতে তুমি বনী-ইসরাঈলকে আমাদের সাথে যেতে দাও।
[17] “So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.’ “

[18] قالَ أَلَم نُرَبِّكَ فينا وَليدًا وَلَبِثتَ فينا مِن عُمُرِكَ سِنينَ
[18] ফেরাউন বলল, আমরা কি তোমাকে শিশু অবস্থায় আমাদের মধ্যে লালন-পালন করিনি? এবং তুমি আমাদের মধ্যে জীবনের বহু বছর কাটিয়েছ।
[18] [Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Mûsa (Moses)]: “Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us.

[19] وَفَعَلتَ فَعلَتَكَ الَّتى فَعَلتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ الكٰفِرينَ
[19] তুমি সেই-তোমরা অপরাধ যা করবার করেছ। তুমি হলে কৃতঘ্ন।
[19] “And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you one of the ingrates.”

[20] قالَ فَعَلتُها إِذًا وَأَنا۠ مِنَ الضّالّينَ
[20] মূসা বলল, আমি সে অপরাধ তখন করেছি, যখন আমি ভ্রান্ত ছিলাম।
[20] Mûsa (Moses) said: “I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message).
