[41] لَهُم مِن جَهَنَّمَ مِهادٌ وَمِن فَوقِهِم غَواشٍ ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجزِى الظّٰلِمينَ

[41] তাদের জন্যে নরকাগ্নির শয্যা রয়েছে এবং উপর থেকে চাদর। আমি এমনিভাবে জালেমদেরকে শাস্তি প্রদান করি।

[41] Theirs will be a bed of Hell (Fire), and over them coverings (of Hell-fire). Thus do We recompense the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).

[42] وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لا نُكَلِّفُ نَفسًا إِلّا وُسعَها أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ ۖ هُم فيها خٰلِدونَ

[42] যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে আমি কাউকে তার সামর্থ্যের চাইতে বেশী বোঝা দেই না। তারাই জান্নাতের অধিবাসী। তারা তাতেই চিরকাল থাকবে।

[42] But those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), and worked righteousness – We tax not any person beyond his scope,— such are the dwellers of Paradise. They will abide therein.

[43] وَنَزَعنا ما فى صُدورِهِم مِن غِلٍّ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهِمُ الأَنهٰرُ ۖ وَقالُوا الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى هَدىٰنا لِهٰذا وَما كُنّا لِنَهتَدِىَ لَولا أَن هَدىٰنَا اللَّهُ ۖ لَقَد جاءَت رُسُلُ رَبِّنا بِالحَقِّ ۖ وَنودوا أَن تِلكُمُ الجَنَّةُ أورِثتُموها بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ

[43] তাদের অন্তরে যা কিছু দুঃখ ছিল, আমি তা বের করে দেব। তাদের তলদেশ দিয়ে নির্ঝরণী প্রবাহিত হবে। তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ শোকর, যিনি আমাদেরকে এ পর্যন্ত পৌছিয়েছেন। আমরা কখনও পথ পেতাম না, যদি আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন না করতেন। আমাদের প্রতিপালকের রসূল আমাদের কাছে সত্যকথা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। আওয়াজ আসবেঃ এটি জান্নাত। তোমরা এর উত্তরাধিকারী হলে তোমাদের কর্মের প্রতিদানে।

[43] And We shall remove from their breasts any (mutual) hatred or sense of injury (which they had, if at all, in the life of this world); rivers flowing under them, and they will say: “All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, Who has guided us to this, and never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allâh had guided us! Indeed, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth.” And it will be cried out to them: “This is the Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do.”

[44] وَنادىٰ أَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ أَصحٰبَ النّارِ أَن قَد وَجَدنا ما وَعَدَنا رَبُّنا حَقًّا فَهَل وَجَدتُم ما وَعَدَ رَبُّكُم حَقًّا ۖ قالوا نَعَم ۚ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَينَهُم أَن لَعنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظّٰلِمينَ

[44] জান্নাতীরা দোযখীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমাদের সাথে আমাদের প্রতিপালক যে ওয়াদা করেছিলেন, তা আমরা সত্য পেয়েছি? অতএব, তোমরাও কি তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের ওয়াদা সত্য পেয়েছ? তারা বলবেঃ হ্যাঁ। অতঃপর একজন ঘোষক উভয়ের মাঝখানে ঘোষণা করবেঃ আল্লাহর অভিসম্পাত জালেমদের উপর।

[44] And the dwellers of Paradise will call out to the dwellers of the Fire (saying): “We have indeed found true what our Lord had promised us; have you also found true, what your Lord promised (warnings)?” They shall say: “Yes.” Then a crier will proclaim between them: “The Curse of Allâh is on the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers),”

[45] الَّذينَ يَصُدّونَ عَن سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبغونَها عِوَجًا وَهُم بِالءاخِرَةِ كٰفِرونَ

[45] যারা আল্লাহর পথে বাধা দিত এবং তাতে বক্রতা অন্বেষণ করত। তারা পরকালের বিষয়েও অবিশ্বাসী ছিল।

[45] Those who hindered (men) from the Path of Allâh, and would seek to make it crooked, and they were disbelievers in the Hereafter.

[46] وَبَينَهُما حِجابٌ ۚ وَعَلَى الأَعرافِ رِجالٌ يَعرِفونَ كُلًّا بِسيمىٰهُم ۚ وَنادَوا أَصحٰبَ الجَنَّةِ أَن سَلٰمٌ عَلَيكُم ۚ لَم يَدخُلوها وَهُم يَطمَعونَ

[46] উভয়ের মাঝখানে একটি প্রাচীর থাকবে এবং আরাফের উপরে অনেক লোক থাকবে। তারা প্রত্যেককে তার চিহ্ন দ্বারা চিনে নেবে। তারা জান্নাতীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ তোমাদের উপর শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক। তারা তখনও জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করবে না, কিন্তু প্রবেশ করার ব্যাপারে আগ্রহী হবে।

[46] And between them will be a (barrier) screen and on Al-A’râf (a wall with elevated places) will be men (whose good and evil deeds would be equal in scale), who would recognise all (of the Paradise and Hell people), by their marks (the dwellers of Paradise by their white faces and the dwellers of Hell by their black faces), they will call out to the dwellers of Paradise, “Salâmun ‘Alaikûm” (peace be on you), and at that time they (men on Al-A’râf) will not yet have entered it (Paradise), but they will hope to enter (it) with certainty.

[47] ۞ وَإِذا صُرِفَت أَبصٰرُهُم تِلقاءَ أَصحٰبِ النّارِ قالوا رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا مَعَ القَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ

[47] যখন তাদের দৃষ্টি দোযখীদের উপর পড়বে, তখন বলবেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক, আমাদেরকে এ জালেমদের সাথী করো না।

[47] And when their eyes will be turned towards the dwellers of the Fire, they will say: “Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).”

[48] وَنادىٰ أَصحٰبُ الأَعرافِ رِجالًا يَعرِفونَهُم بِسيمىٰهُم قالوا ما أَغنىٰ عَنكُم جَمعُكُم وَما كُنتُم تَستَكبِرونَ

[48] আরাফবাসীরা যাদেরকে তাদের চিহ্ন দ্বারা চিনবে, তাদেরকে ডেকে বলবে তোমাদের দলবল ও ঔদ্ধত্য তোমাদের কোন কাজে আসেনি।

[48] And the men on Al-A’râf (the wall) will call unto the men whom they would recognise by their marks, saying: “Of what benefit to you were your great numbers (and hoards of wealth), and your arrogance (against Faith)?”

[49] أَهٰؤُلاءِ الَّذينَ أَقسَمتُم لا يَنالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحمَةٍ ۚ ادخُلُوا الجَنَّةَ لا خَوفٌ عَلَيكُم وَلا أَنتُم تَحزَنونَ

[49] এরা কি তারাই; যাদের সম্পর্কে তোমরা কসম খেয়ে বলতে যে, আল্লাহ এদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করবেন না। প্রবেশ কর জান্নাতে। তোমাদের কোন আশঙ্কা নেই এবং তোমরা দুঃখিত হবে না।

[49] Are they those, of whom you swore that Allâh would never show them mercy. (Behold! It has been said to them): “Enter Paradise, no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve.”

[50] وَنادىٰ أَصحٰبُ النّارِ أَصحٰبَ الجَنَّةِ أَن أَفيضوا عَلَينا مِنَ الماءِ أَو مِمّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ قالوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُما عَلَى الكٰفِرينَ

[50] দোযখীরা জান্নাতীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমাদের উপর সামান্য পানি নিক্ষেপ কর অথবা আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যে রুযী দিয়েছেন, তা থেকেই কিছু দাও। তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ এই উভয় বস্তু কাফেরদের জন্যে নিষিদ্ধ করেছেন,

[50] And the dwellers of the Fire will call to the dwellers of Paradise: “Pour on us some water or anything that Allâh has provided you with.” They will say: “Both (water and provision) Allâh has forbidden to the disbelievers.”

[51] الَّذينَ اتَّخَذوا دينَهُم لَهوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتهُمُ الحَيوٰةُ الدُّنيا ۚ فَاليَومَ نَنسىٰهُم كَما نَسوا لِقاءَ يَومِهِم هٰذا وَما كانوا بِـٔايٰتِنا يَجحَدونَ

[51] তারা স্বীয় ধর্মকে তামাশা ও খেলা বানিয়ে নিয়েছিল এবং পার্থিব জীবন তাদের কে ধোকায় ফেলে রেখেছিল। অতএব, আমি আজকে তাদেরকে ভুলে যাব; যেমন তারা এ দিনের সাক্ষাৎকে ভুলে গিয়েছিল এবং যেমন তারা আয়াতসমূহকে অবিশ্বাস করত।

[51] “Who took their religion as an amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them.” So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to reject Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations).

[52] وَلَقَد جِئنٰهُم بِكِتٰبٍ فَصَّلنٰهُ عَلىٰ عِلمٍ هُدًى وَرَحمَةً لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ

[52] আমি তাদের কাছে গ্রন্থ পৌছিয়েছি, যা আমি স্বীয় জ্ঞানে বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা করেছি, যা পথপ্রদর্শক এবং মুমিনদের জন্যে রহমত।

[52] Certainly, We have brought them a Book (the Qur’ân) which We have explained in detail with knowledge, – a guidance and a mercy to a people who believe.

[53] هَل يَنظُرونَ إِلّا تَأويلَهُ ۚ يَومَ يَأتى تَأويلُهُ يَقولُ الَّذينَ نَسوهُ مِن قَبلُ قَد جاءَت رُسُلُ رَبِّنا بِالحَقِّ فَهَل لَنا مِن شُفَعاءَ فَيَشفَعوا لَنا أَو نُرَدُّ فَنَعمَلَ غَيرَ الَّذى كُنّا نَعمَلُ ۚ قَد خَسِروا أَنفُسَهُم وَضَلَّ عَنهُم ما كانوا يَفتَرونَ

[53] তারা কি এখন এ অপেক্ষায়ই আছে যে, এর বিষয়বস্তু প্রকাশিত হোক? যেদিন এর বিষয়বস্তু প্রকাশিত হবে, সেদিন পূর্বে যারা একে ভূলে গিয়েছিল, তারা বলবেঃ বাস্তবিকই আমাদের প্রতিপালকের পয়গম্বরগণ সত্যসহ আগমন করেছিলেন। অতএব, আমাদের জন্যে কোন সুপারিশকারী আছে কি যে, সুপারিশ করবে অথবা আমাদেরকে পুনঃ প্রেরণ করা হলে আমরা পূর্বে যা করতাম তার বিপরীত কাজ করে আসতাম। নিশ্চয় তারা নিজেদেরকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করেছে। তারা মনগড়া যা বলত, তা উধাও হয়ে যাবে।

[53] Await they just for the final fullfilment of the event? On the Day the event is finally fulfilled (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), those who neglected it before will say: “Verily, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth, now are there any intercessors for us that they might intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to the first life of the world) so that we might do (good) deeds other than those (evil) deeds which we used to do?” Verily, they have lost their ownselves (i.e. destroyed themselves) and that which they used to fabricate (invoking and worshipping others besides Allâh) has gone away from them.

[54] إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذى خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ فى سِتَّةِ أَيّامٍ ثُمَّ استَوىٰ عَلَى العَرشِ يُغشِى الَّيلَ النَّهارَ يَطلُبُهُ حَثيثًا وَالشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ وَالنُّجومَ مُسَخَّرٰتٍ بِأَمرِهِ ۗ أَلا لَهُ الخَلقُ وَالأَمرُ ۗ تَبارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ العٰلَمينَ

[54] নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রতিপালক আল্লাহ। তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলকে ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতঃপর আরশের উপর অধিষ্টিত হয়েছেন। তিনি পরিয়ে দেন রাতের উপর দিনকে এমতাবস্থায় যে, দিন দৌড়ে রাতের পিছনে আসে। তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন সূর্য, চন্দ্র ও নক্ষত্র দৌড় স্বীয় আদেশের অনুগামী। শুনে রেখ, তাঁরই কাজ সৃষ্টি করা এবং আদেশ দান করা। আল্লাহ, বরকতময় যিনি বিশ্বজগতের প্রতিপালক।

[54] Indeed your Lord is Allâh, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He rose over (Istawâ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed is Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!

[55] ادعوا رَبَّكُم تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ المُعتَدينَ

[55] তোমরা স্বীয় প্রতিপালককে ডাক, কাকুতি-মিনতি করে এবং সংগোপনে। তিনি সীমা অতিক্রমকারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।

[55] Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors.

[56] وَلا تُفسِدوا فِى الأَرضِ بَعدَ إِصلٰحِها وَادعوهُ خَوفًا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَحمَتَ اللَّهِ قَريبٌ مِنَ المُحسِنينَ

[56] পৃথিবীকে কুসংস্কারমুক্ত ও ঠিক করার পর তাতে অনর্থ সৃষ্টি করো না। তাঁকে আহবান কর ভয় ও আশা সহকারে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর করুণা সৎকর্মশীলদের নিকটবর্তী।

[56] And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope; Surely, Allâh’s Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers.

[57] وَهُوَ الَّذى يُرسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ بُشرًا بَينَ يَدَى رَحمَتِهِ ۖ حَتّىٰ إِذا أَقَلَّت سَحابًا ثِقالًا سُقنٰهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَيِّتٍ فَأَنزَلنا بِهِ الماءَ فَأَخرَجنا بِهِ مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُخرِجُ المَوتىٰ لَعَلَّكُم تَذَكَّرونَ

[57] তিনিই বৃষ্টির পূর্বে সুসংবাদবাহী বায়ু পাঠিয়ে দেন। এমনকি যখন বায়ুরাশি পানিপূর্ন মেঘমালা বয়ে আনে, তখন আমি এ মেঘমালাকে একটি মৃত শহরের দিকে হঁ্যাকিয়ে দেই। অতঃপর এ মেঘ থেকে বৃষ্টি ধারা বর্ষণ করি। অতঃপর পানি দ্বারা সব রকমের ফল উৎপন্ন করি। এমনি ভাবে মৃতদেরকে বের করব-যাতে তোমরা চিন্তা কর।

[57] And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed.

[58] وَالبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخرُجُ نَباتُهُ بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَالَّذى خَبُثَ لا يَخرُجُ إِلّا نَكِدًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الءايٰتِ لِقَومٍ يَشكُرونَ

[58] যে শহর উৎকৃষ্ট, তার ফসল তার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশে উৎপন্ন হয় এবং যা নিকৃষ্ট তাতে অল্পই ফসল উৎপন্ন হয়। এমনিভাবে আমি আয়াতসমূহ ঘুরিয়ে ফিরিয়ে বর্ণনা করি কৃতজ্ঞ সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে।

[58] The vegetation of a good land comes forth (easily) by the Permission of its Lord, and that which is bad, brings forth nothing but (a little) with difficulty. Thus do We explain variously the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for a people who give thanks.

[59] لَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ فَقالَ يٰقَومِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلٰهٍ غَيرُهُ إِنّى أَخافُ عَلَيكُم عَذابَ يَومٍ عَظيمٍ

[59] নিশ্চয় আমি নূহকে তার সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি পাঠিয়েছি। সে বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর। তিনি ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নেই। আমি তোমাদের জন্যে একটি মহাদিবসের শাস্তির আশঙ্কা করি।

[59] Indeed, We sent Nûh (Noah) to his people and he said: “O my people! Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (Lâ ilâha ill-allâh: none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!”

[60] قالَ المَلَأُ مِن قَومِهِ إِنّا لَنَرىٰكَ فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ

[60] তার সম্প্রদায়ের সর্দাররা বললঃ আমরা তোমাকে প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্টতার মাঝে দেখতে পাচ্ছি।

[60] The leaders of his people said: “Verily, we see you in plain error.”
