[72] لَقَد كَفَرَ الَّذينَ قالوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ المَسيحُ ابنُ مَريَمَ ۖ وَقالَ المَسيحُ يٰبَنى إِسرٰءيلَ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبّى وَرَبَّكُم ۖ إِنَّهُ مَن يُشرِك بِاللَّهِ فَقَد حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ الجَنَّةَ وَمَأوىٰهُ النّارُ ۖ وَما لِلظّٰلِمينَ مِن أَنصارٍ

[72] তারা কাফের, যারা বলে যে, মরিময়-তনয় মসীহ-ই আল্লাহ; অথচ মসীহ বলেন, হে বণী-ইসরাঈল, তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর, যিনি আমার পালন কর্তা এবং তোমাদেরও পালনকর্তা। নিশ্চয় যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর সাথে অংশীদার স্থির করে, আল্লাহ তার জন্যে জান্নাত হারাম করে দেন। এবং তার বাসস্থান হয় জাহান্নাম। অত্যাচারীদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই।

[72] Surely, they have disbelieved who say: “Allâh is the Messiah Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary).” But the Messiah Īsā(Jesus) said: “O Children of Israel! Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord.” Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allâh, then Allâh has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers

[73] لَقَد كَفَرَ الَّذينَ قالوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثالِثُ ثَلٰثَةٍ ۘ وَما مِن إِلٰهٍ إِلّا إِلٰهٌ وٰحِدٌ ۚ وَإِن لَم يَنتَهوا عَمّا يَقولونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِنهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ

[73] নিশ্চয় তারা কাফের, যারা বলেঃ আল্লাহ তিনের এক; অথচ এক উপাস্য ছাড়া কোন উপাস্য নেই। যদি তারা স্বীয় উক্তি থেকে নিবৃত্ত না হয়, তবে তাদের মধ্যে যারা কুফরে অটল থাকবে, তাদের উপর যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি পতিত হবে।

[73] Surely, disbelievers are those who said: “Allâh is the third of the three (in a Trinity).” But there is no llâh (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilâh (God -Allâh). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them

[74] أَفَلا يَتوبونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَيَستَغفِرونَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

[74] তারা আল্লাহর কাছে তওবা করে না কেন এবং ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে না কেন? আল্লাহ যে ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু।

[74] Will they not turn with repentance to Allâh and ask His Forgiveness? For Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[75] مَا المَسيحُ ابنُ مَريَمَ إِلّا رَسولٌ قَد خَلَت مِن قَبلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُ صِدّيقَةٌ ۖ كانا يَأكُلانِ الطَّعامَ ۗ انظُر كَيفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الءايٰتِ ثُمَّ انظُر أَنّىٰ يُؤفَكونَ

[75] মরিয়ম-তনয় মসীহ রসূল ছাড়া আর কিছু নন। তাঁর পূর্বে অনেক রসূল অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছেন আর তার জননী একজন ওলী। তাঁরা উভয়েই খাদ্য ভক্ষণ করতেন। দেখুন, আমি তাদের জন্যে কিরূপ যুক্তি-প্রমাণ বর্ননা করি, আবার দেখুন, তারা উল্টা কোন দিকে যাচেছ।

[75] The Messiah [‘Īsā (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allâh and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allâh does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth)

[76] قُل أَتَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَملِكُ لَكُم ضَرًّا وَلا نَفعًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ

[76] বলে দিনঃ তোমরা কি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন বস্তুর এবাদত কর যে, তোমাদের অপকার বা উপকার করার ক্ষমতা রাখে না? অথচ আল্লাহ সব শুনেন ও জানেন।

[76] Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): “How do you worship besides Allâh something which has no power either to harm or to benefit you? But it is Allâh Who is the All¬Hearer, All¬Knower.”

[77] قُل يٰأَهلَ الكِتٰبِ لا تَغلوا فى دينِكُم غَيرَ الحَقِّ وَلا تَتَّبِعوا أَهواءَ قَومٍ قَد ضَلّوا مِن قَبلُ وَأَضَلّوا كَثيرًا وَضَلّوا عَن سَواءِ السَّبيلِ

[77] বলুনঃ হে আহলে কিতাবগন, তোমরা স্বীয় ধর্মে অন্যায় বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং এতে ঐ সম্প্রদায়ের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করো না, যারা পূর্বে পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছে এবং অনেককে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। তারা সরল পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়ে পড়েছে।

[77] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Exceed not the limits in your religion (by believing in something) other than the truth, and do not follow the vain desires of people who went astray before, and who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the Right Path.”

[78] لُعِنَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ عَلىٰ لِسانِ داوۥدَ وَعيسَى ابنِ مَريَمَ ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِما عَصَوا وَكانوا يَعتَدونَ

[78] বনী-ইসলাঈলের মধ্যে যারা কাফের, তাদেরকে দাউদ ও মরিয়মতনয় ঈসার মুখে অভিসম্পাত করা হয়েছে। এটা একারণে যে, তারা অবাধ্যতা করত এবং সীমা লংঘন করত।

[78] Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawûd (David) and ‘Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds.

[79] كانوا لا يَتَناهَونَ عَن مُنكَرٍ فَعَلوهُ ۚ لَبِئسَ ما كانوا يَفعَلونَ

[79] তারা পরস্পরকে মন্দ কাজে নিষেধ করত না, যা তারা করত। তারা যা করত তা অবশ্যই মন্দ ছিল

[79] They used not to forbid one another from Al-Munkar (wrong, evil-doing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do.

[80] تَرىٰ كَثيرًا مِنهُم يَتَوَلَّونَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا ۚ لَبِئسَ ما قَدَّمَت لَهُم أَنفُسُهُم أَن سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِم وَفِى العَذابِ هُم خٰلِدونَ

[80] আপনি তাদের অনেককে দেখবেন, কাফেরদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করে। তারা নিজেদের জন্য যা পাঠিয়েছে তা অবশ্যই মন্দ। তা এই যে, তাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ ক্রোধান্বিত হয়েছেন এবং তারা চিরকাল আযাবে থাকবে।

[80] You see many of them taking the disbelievers as their Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers). Evil indeed is that which their ownselves have sent forward before them, for that (reason) Allâh’s Wrath fell upon them and in torment they will abide.

[81] وَلَو كانوا يُؤمِنونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِىِّ وَما أُنزِلَ إِلَيهِ مَا اتَّخَذوهُم أَولِياءَ وَلٰكِنَّ كَثيرًا مِنهُم فٰسِقونَ

[81] যদি তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ও রসূলের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ বিষয়ের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করত, তবে কাফেরদেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করত না। কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে অনেকেই দুরাচার।

[81] And had they believed in Allâh, and in the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and in what has been revealed to him, never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers), but many of them are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

[82] ۞ لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النّاسِ عَدٰوَةً لِلَّذينَ ءامَنُوا اليَهودَ وَالَّذينَ أَشرَكوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقرَبَهُم مَوَدَّةً لِلَّذينَ ءامَنُوا الَّذينَ قالوا إِنّا نَصٰرىٰ ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنهُم قِسّيسينَ وَرُهبانًا وَأَنَّهُم لا يَستَكبِرونَ

[82] আপনি সব মানুষের চাইতে মুসলমানদের অধিক শত্রু ইহুদী ও মুশরিকদেরকে পাবেন এবং আপনি সবার চাইতে মুসলমানদের সাথে বন্ধুত্বে অধিক নিকটবর্তী তাদেরকে পাবেন, যারা নিজেদেরকে খ্রীষ্টান বলে। এর কারণ এই যে, খ্রীষ্টানদের মধ্যে আলেম রয়েছে, দরবেশ রয়েছে এবং তারা অহঙ্কার করে না।

[82] Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikûn (see V.2:105), and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud.

[83] وَإِذا سَمِعوا ما أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسولِ تَرىٰ أَعيُنَهُم تَفيضُ مِنَ الدَّمعِ مِمّا عَرَفوا مِنَ الحَقِّ ۖ يَقولونَ رَبَّنا ءامَنّا فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشّٰهِدينَ

[83] আর তারা রসূলের প্রতি যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে, তা যখন শুনে, তখন আপনি তাদের চোখ অশ্রু সজল দেখতে পাবেন; এ কারণে যে, তারা সত্যকে চিনে নিয়েছে। তারা বলেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতি পালক, আমরা মুসলমান হয়ে গেলাম। অতএব, আমাদেরকেও মান্যকারীদের তালিকাভুক্ত করে নিন।

[83] And when they (who call themselves Christians) listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognised. They say: “Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses.

[84] وَما لَنا لا نُؤمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَما جاءَنا مِنَ الحَقِّ وَنَطمَعُ أَن يُدخِلَنا رَبُّنا مَعَ القَومِ الصّٰلِحينَ

[84] আমাদের কি ওযর থাকতে পারে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি এবং যে সত্য আমাদের কাছে এসেছে, তৎপ্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করব না এবং এ আশা করবো না যে, আমদের প্রতিপালক আমাদেরকে সৎ লোকদের সাথে প্রবিষ্ট করবেন?

[84] “And why should we not believe in Allâh and in that which has come to us of the truth (Islâmic Monotheism)? And we wish that our Lord will admit us (in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection) along with the righteous people (Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Companions radhiallahu’anhuã).”

[85] فَأَثٰبَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِما قالوا جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها ۚ وَذٰلِكَ جَزاءُ المُحسِنينَ

[85] অতঃপর তাদেরকে আল্লাহ এ উক্তির প্রতিদান স্বরূপ এমন উদ্যান দিবেন যার তলদেশে নির্ঝরিণীসমূহ প্রবাহিত হবে। তারা তন্মধ্যে চিরকাল অবস্থান করবে। এটাই সৎকর্মশীলদের প্রতিদান।

[85] So because of what they said, Allâh rewarded them Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise), they will abide therein forever. Such is the reward of Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).

[86] وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِنا أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ الجَحيمِ

[86] যারা কাফের হয়েছে এবং আমার নিদর্শনাবলীকে মিথ্যা বলেছে, তারাই দোযখী।

[86] But those who disbelieved and belied Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they shall be the dwellers of the (Hell) Fire.

[87] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لا تُحَرِّموا طَيِّبٰتِ ما أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُم وَلا تَعتَدوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُحِبُّ المُعتَدينَ

[87] হে মুমিনগণ, তোমরা ঐসব সুস্বাদু বস্তু হারাম করো না, যেগুলো আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য হালাল করেছেন এবং সীমা অতিক্রম করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সীমা অতিক্রমকারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।

[87] O you who believe! Make not unlawful the Tayyibât (all that is good as regards foods, things, deeds, beliefs, persons) which Allâh has made lawful to you, and transgress not. Verily, Allâh does not like the transgressors.

[88] وَكُلوا مِمّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذى أَنتُم بِهِ مُؤمِنونَ

[88] আল্লাহ তা’য়ালা যেসব বস্তু তোমাদেরকে দিয়েছেন, তন্মধ্য থেকে হালাল ও পবিত্র বস্তু খাও এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যার প্রতি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী।

[88] And eat of the things which Allâh has provided for you, lawful and good, and fear Allâh in Whom you believe.

[89] لا يُؤاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغوِ فى أَيمٰنِكُم وَلٰكِن يُؤاخِذُكُم بِما عَقَّدتُمُ الأَيمٰنَ ۖ فَكَفّٰرَتُهُ إِطعامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسٰكينَ مِن أَوسَطِ ما تُطعِمونَ أَهليكُم أَو كِسوَتُهُم أَو تَحريرُ رَقَبَةٍ ۖ فَمَن لَم يَجِد فَصِيامُ ثَلٰثَةِ أَيّامٍ ۚ ذٰلِكَ كَفّٰرَةُ أَيمٰنِكُم إِذا حَلَفتُم ۚ وَاحفَظوا أَيمٰنَكُم ۚ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُم ءايٰتِهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ

[89] আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেন না তোমাদের অনর্থক শপথের জন্যে; কিন্তু পাকড়াও করেন ঐ শপথের জন্যে যা তোমরা মজবুত করে বাধ। অতএব, এর কাফফরা এই যে, দশজন দরিদ্রকে খাদ্য প্রদান করবে; মধ্যম শ্রেনীর খাদ্য যা তোমরা স্বীয় পরিবারকে দিয়ে থাক। অথবা, তাদেরকে বস্তু প্রদান করবে অথবা, একজন ক্রীতদাস কিংবা দাসী মুক্ত করে দিবে। যে ব্যক্তি সামর্থ্য রাখে না, সে তিন দিন রোযা রাখবে। এটা কাফফরা তোমাদের শপথের, যখন শপথ করবে। তোমরা স্বীয় শপথসমূহ রক্ষা কর এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য স্বীয় নির্দেশ বর্ণনা করেন, যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার কর।

[89] Allâh will not punish you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He will punish you for your deliberate oaths; for its expiation feed ten Masâkîn (poor persons), on a scale of the average of that with which you feed your own families, or clothe them or manumit a slave. But whosoever cannot afford (that), then he should fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths when you have sworn. And protect your oaths (i.e. do not swear much). Thus Allâh make clear to you His Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) that you may be grateful.

[90] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا إِنَّمَا الخَمرُ وَالمَيسِرُ وَالأَنصابُ وَالأَزلٰمُ رِجسٌ مِن عَمَلِ الشَّيطٰنِ فَاجتَنِبوهُ لَعَلَّكُم تُفلِحونَ

[90] হে মুমিনগণ, এই যে মদ, জুয়া, প্রতিমা এবং ভাগ্য-নির্ধারক শরসমূহ এসব শয়তানের অপবিত্র কার্য বৈ তো নয়। অতএব, এগুলো থেকে বেঁচে থাক-যাতে তোমরা কল্যাণপ্রাপ্ত হও।

[90] O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, and Al-Ansâb, and Al¬Azlâm (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitân’s (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful.

[91] إِنَّما يُريدُ الشَّيطٰنُ أَن يوقِعَ بَينَكُمُ العَدٰوَةَ وَالبَغضاءَ فِى الخَمرِ وَالمَيسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُم عَن ذِكرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلوٰةِ ۖ فَهَل أَنتُم مُنتَهونَ

[91] শয়তান তো চায়, মদ ও জুয়ার মাধ্যমে তোমাদের পরস্পরের মাঝে শুত্রুতা ও বিদ্বেষ সঞ্চারিত করে দিতে এবং আল্লাহর স্মরণ ও নামায থেকে তোমাদেরকে বিরত রাখতে। অতএব, তোমরা এখন ও কি নিবৃত্ত হবে?

[91] Shaitân (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allâh and from As-Salât (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?
