[52] فَتَرَى الَّذينَ فى قُلوبِهِم مَرَضٌ يُسٰرِعونَ فيهِم يَقولونَ نَخشىٰ أَن تُصيبَنا دائِرَةٌ ۚ فَعَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَأتِىَ بِالفَتحِ أَو أَمرٍ مِن عِندِهِ فَيُصبِحوا عَلىٰ ما أَسَرّوا فى أَنفُسِهِم نٰدِمينَ

[52] বস্তুতঃ যাদের অন্তরে রোগ রয়েছে, তাদেরকে আপনি দেখবেন, দৌড়ে গিয়ে তাদেরই মধ্যে প্রবেশ করে। তারা বলেঃ আমরা আশঙ্কা করি, পাছে না আমরা কোন দুর্ঘটনায় পতিত হই। অতএব, সেদিন দুরে নয়, যেদিন আল্লাহ তা’আলা বিজয় প্রকাশ করবেন অথবা নিজের পক্ষ থেকে কোন নির্দেশ দেবেন-ফলে তারা স্বীয় গোপন মনোভাবের জন্যে অনুতপ্ত হবে।

[52] And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to their friendship, saying: “We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us.” Perhaps Allâh may bring a victory or a decision according to His Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves.

[53] وَيَقولُ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا أَهٰؤُلاءِ الَّذينَ أَقسَموا بِاللَّهِ جَهدَ أَيمٰنِهِم ۙ إِنَّهُم لَمَعَكُم ۚ حَبِطَت أَعمٰلُهُم فَأَصبَحوا خٰسِرينَ

[53] মুসলমানরা বলবেঃ এরাই কি সেসব লোক, যারা আল্লাহর নামে প্রতিজ্ঞা করত যে, আমরা তোমাদের সাথে আছি? তাদের কৃতকর্মসমূহ বিফল হয়ে গেছে, ফলে তারা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়ে আছে।

[53] And those who believe will say: “Are these the men (hypocrites) who swore their strongest oaths by Allâh that they were with you (Muslims)?” All that they did has been in vain (because of their hypocrisy), and they have become the losers.

[54] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا مَن يَرتَدَّ مِنكُم عَن دينِهِ فَسَوفَ يَأتِى اللَّهُ بِقَومٍ يُحِبُّهُم وَيُحِبّونَهُ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى المُؤمِنينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الكٰفِرينَ يُجٰهِدونَ فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا يَخافونَ لَومَةَ لائِمٍ ۚ ذٰلِكَ فَضلُ اللَّهِ يُؤتيهِ مَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ وٰسِعٌ عَليمٌ

[54] হে মুমিনগণ, তোমাদের মধ্যে যে স্বীয় ধর্ম থেকে ফিরে যাবে, অচিরে আল্লাহ এমন সম্প্রদায় সৃষ্টি করবেন, যাদেরকে তিনি ভালবাসবেন এবং তারা তাঁকে ভালবাসবে। তারা মুসলমানদের প্রতি বিনয়-নম্র হবে এবং কাফেরদের প্রতি কঠোর হবে। তারা আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদ করবে এবং কোন তিরস্কারকারীর তিরস্কারে ভীত হবে না। এটি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ-তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা দান করেন। আল্লাহ প্রাচুর্য দানকারী, মহাজ্ঞানী।

[54] O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islâm), Allâh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allâh, and never fear of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.

[55] إِنَّما وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسولُهُ وَالَّذينَ ءامَنُوا الَّذينَ يُقيمونَ الصَّلوٰةَ وَيُؤتونَ الزَّكوٰةَ وَهُم رٰكِعونَ

[55] তোমাদের বন্ধু তো আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল এবং মুমিনবৃন্দ-যারা নামায কায়েম করে, যাকাত দেয় এবং বিনম্র।

[55] Verily, your Walî (Protector or Helper) is none other than Allâh, His Messenger, and the believers, – those who perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât, and they are Rakiun (those who bow down or submit themselves with obedience to Allâh in prayer).

[56] وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا فَإِنَّ حِزبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الغٰلِبونَ

[56] আর যারা আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল এবং বিশ্বাসীদেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করে, তারাই আল্লাহর দল এবং তারাই বিজয়ী।

[56] And whosoever takes Allâh, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as Protectors, then the party of Allâh will be the victorious.

[57] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لا تَتَّخِذُوا الَّذينَ اتَّخَذوا دينَكُم هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِنَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ مِن قَبلِكُم وَالكُفّارَ أَولِياءَ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُؤمِنينَ

[57] হে মুমিনগণ, আহলে কিতাবদের মধ্য থেকে যারা তোমাদের ধর্মকে উপহাস ও খেলা মনে করে, তাদেরকে এবং অন্যান্য কাফেরকে বন্ধু রূপে গ্রহণ করো না। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যদি তোমরা ঈমানদার হও।

[57] O you who believe! Take not as Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers) those who take your religion as a mockery and fun from among those who received the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before you, nor from among the disbelievers; and fear Allâh if you indeed are true believers.

[58] وَإِذا نادَيتُم إِلَى الصَّلوٰةِ اتَّخَذوها هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ۚ ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُم قَومٌ لا يَعقِلونَ

[58] আর যখন তোমরা নামাযের জন্যে আহবান কর, তখন তারা একে উপহাস ও খেলা বলে মনে করে। কারণ, তারা নিবোর্ধ।

[58] And when you proclaim the call for As-Salât [call for the prayer (Adhân)], they take it (but) as a mockery and fun; that is because they are a people who understand not.

[59] قُل يٰأَهلَ الكِتٰبِ هَل تَنقِمونَ مِنّا إِلّا أَن ءامَنّا بِاللَّهِ وَما أُنزِلَ إِلَينا وَما أُنزِلَ مِن قَبلُ وَأَنَّ أَكثَرَكُم فٰسِقونَ

[59] বলুনঃ হে আহলে কিতাবগণ, আমাদের সাথে তোমাদের এছাড়া কি শত্রুতা যে, আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি আল্লাহর প্রতি, আমাদের উপর অবতীর্ণ গ্রন্থের প্রতি এবং পূর্বে অবতীর্ণ গ্রন্থের প্রতি। আর তোমাদের অধিকাংশই নাফরমান।

[59] Say: “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allâh, and in (the revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Fâsiqûn [rebellious and disobedient (to Allâh)]?”

[60] قُل هَل أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِن ذٰلِكَ مَثوبَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنهُمُ القِرَدَةَ وَالخَنازيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطّٰغوتَ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَواءِ السَّبيلِ

[60] বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে বলি, তাদের মধ্যে কার মন্দ প্রতিফল রয়েছে আল্লাহর কাছে? যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ অভিসম্পাত করেছেন, যাদের প্রতি তিনি ক্রোধাম্বিত হয়েছেন, যাদের কতককে বানর ও শুকরে রূপান্তরিত করে দিয়েছেন এবং যারা শয়তানের আরাধনা করেছে, তারাই মর্যাদার দিক দিয়ে নিকৃষ্টতর এবং সত্যপথ থেকেও অনেক দূরে।

[60] Say (O Muhammad SAW to the people of the Scripture): “Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allâh: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allâh and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, those who worshipped Tâghût (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell¬fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world).”

[61] وَإِذا جاءوكُم قالوا ءامَنّا وَقَد دَخَلوا بِالكُفرِ وَهُم قَد خَرَجوا بِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِما كانوا يَكتُمونَ

[61] যখন তারা তোমাদের কাছে আসে তখন বলে দাওঃ আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। অথচ তারা কুফর নিয়ে এসেছিল এবং কুফর নিয়েই প্রস্থান করেছে। তারা যা গোপন করত, আল্লাহ তা খুব জানেন।

[61] When they come to you, they say: “We believe.” But in fact they enter with (an intention of) disbelief and they go out with the same. And Allâh knows all what they were hiding

[62] وَتَرىٰ كَثيرًا مِنهُم يُسٰرِعونَ فِى الإِثمِ وَالعُدوٰنِ وَأَكلِهِمُ السُّحتَ ۚ لَبِئسَ ما كانوا يَعمَلونَ

[62] আর আপনি তাদের অনেককে দেখবেন যে, দৌড়ে দৌড়ে পাপে, সীমালঙ্ঘনে এবং হারাম ভক্ষনে পতিত হয়। তারা অত্যন্ত মন্দ কাজ করছে।

[62] And you see many of them (Jews) hurrying towards sin and transgression, and eating illegal things [as bribes and Ribâ (usury), etc.]. Evil indeed is that which they have been doing

[63] لَولا يَنهىٰهُمُ الرَّبّٰنِيّونَ وَالأَحبارُ عَن قَولِهِمُ الإِثمَ وَأَكلِهِمُ السُّحتَ ۚ لَبِئسَ ما كانوا يَصنَعونَ

[63] দরবেশ ও আলেমরা কেন তাদেরকে পাপ কথা বলতে এবং হারাম ভক্ষণ করতে নিষেধ করে না? তারা খুবই মন্দ কাজ করছে।

[63] Why do not the rabbis and the religious learned men forbid them from uttering sinful words and from eating illegal things. Evil indeed is that which they have been performing.

[64] وَقالَتِ اليَهودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغلولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّت أَيديهِم وَلُعِنوا بِما قالوا ۘ بَل يَداهُ مَبسوطَتانِ يُنفِقُ كَيفَ يَشاءُ ۚ وَلَيَزيدَنَّ كَثيرًا مِنهُم ما أُنزِلَ إِلَيكَ مِن رَبِّكَ طُغيٰنًا وَكُفرًا ۚ وَأَلقَينا بَينَهُمُ العَدٰوَةَ وَالبَغضاءَ إِلىٰ يَومِ القِيٰمَةِ ۚ كُلَّما أَوقَدوا نارًا لِلحَربِ أَطفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسعَونَ فِى الأَرضِ فَسادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ المُفسِدينَ

[64] আর ইহুদীরা বলেঃ আল্লাহর হাত বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে। তাদেরই হাত বন্ধ হোক। একথা বলার জন্যে তাদের প্রতি অভিসম্পাত। বরং তাঁর উভয় হস্ত উম্মুক্ত। তিনি যেরূপ ইচ্ছা ব্যয় করেন। আপনার প্রতি পলনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে যে কালাম অবর্তীণ হয়েছে, তার কারণে তাদের অনেকের অবাধ্যতা ও কুফর পরিবর্ধিত হবে। আমি তাদের পরস্পরের মধ্যে কেয়ামত পর্যন্ত শত্রুতা ও বিদ্বেষ সঞ্চারিত করে দিয়েছি। তারা যখনই যুদ্ধের আগুন প্রজ্জòলিত করে, আল্লাহ তা নির্বাপিত করে দেন। তারা দেশে অশান্তি উৎপাদন করে বেড়ায়। আল্লাহ অশান্তি ও বিশৃঙ্খলা সৃষ্টিকারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।

[64] The Jews say: “Allâh’s Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty).” Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills. Verily, the Revelation that has come to you from your Lord (Allâh) increases in most of them (their) obstinate rebellion and disbelief. We have put enmity and hatred amongst them till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allâh extinguished it; and they (ever) strive to make mischief on earth. And Allâh does not like the Mufsidûn (mischief-makers).

[65] وَلَو أَنَّ أَهلَ الكِتٰبِ ءامَنوا وَاتَّقَوا لَكَفَّرنا عَنهُم سَيِّـٔاتِهِم وَلَأَدخَلنٰهُم جَنّٰتِ النَّعيمِ

[65] আর যদি আহলে-কিতাবরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করত এবং খোদাভীতি অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের মন্দ বিষয়সমূহ ক্ষমা করে দিতাম এবং তাদেরকে নেয়ামতের উদ্যানসমূহে প্রবিষ্ট করতাম।

[65] And if only the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) had believed (in Muhammad SAW) and warded off evil (sin, ascribing partners to Allâh) and had become Al¬Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2) We would indeed have expiated from them their sins and admitted them to Gardens of pleasure (in Paradise).

[66] وَلَو أَنَّهُم أَقامُوا التَّورىٰةَ وَالإِنجيلَ وَما أُنزِلَ إِلَيهِم مِن رَبِّهِم لَأَكَلوا مِن فَوقِهِم وَمِن تَحتِ أَرجُلِهِم ۚ مِنهُم أُمَّةٌ مُقتَصِدَةٌ ۖ وَكَثيرٌ مِنهُم ساءَ ما يَعمَلونَ

[66] যদি তারা তওরাত, ইঞ্জিল এবং যা প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে তাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে, পুরোপুরি পালন করত, তবে তারা উপর থেকে এবং পায়ের নীচ থেকে ভক্ষণ করত। তাদের কিছুসংখ্যক লোক সৎপথের অনুগামী এবং অনেকেই মন্দ কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।

[66] And if only they had acted according to the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur’ân), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. There are from among them people who are on the right course (i.e. they act on the revelation and believe in Prophet Muhammad SAW as ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm radhiallahu’anhu), but many of them do evil deeds.

[67] ۞ يٰأَيُّهَا الرَّسولُ بَلِّغ ما أُنزِلَ إِلَيكَ مِن رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَم تَفعَل فَما بَلَّغتَ رِسالَتَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعصِمُكَ مِنَ النّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَهدِى القَومَ الكٰفِرينَ

[67] হে রসূল, পৌছে দিন আপনার প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে আপনার প্রতি যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। আর যদি আপনি এরূপ না করেন, তবে আপনি তাঁর পয়গাম কিছুই পৌছালেন না। আল্লাহ আপনাকে মানুষের কাছ থেকে রক্ষা করবেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কাফেরদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।

[67] O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allâh will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allâh guides not the people who disbelieve.

[68] قُل يٰأَهلَ الكِتٰبِ لَستُم عَلىٰ شَيءٍ حَتّىٰ تُقيمُوا التَّورىٰةَ وَالإِنجيلَ وَما أُنزِلَ إِلَيكُم مِن رَبِّكُم ۗ وَلَيَزيدَنَّ كَثيرًا مِنهُم ما أُنزِلَ إِلَيكَ مِن رَبِّكَ طُغيٰنًا وَكُفرًا ۖ فَلا تَأسَ عَلَى القَومِ الكٰفِرينَ

[68] বলে দিনঃ হে আহলে কিতাবগণ, তোমরা কোন পথেই নও, যে পর্যন্ত না তোমরা তওরাত, ইঞ্জিল এবং যে গ্রন্থ তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে তাও পুরোপুরি পালন না কর। আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে আপনার প্রতি যা অবর্তীণ হয়েছে, তার কারণে তাদের অনেকের অবাধ্যতা ও কুফর বৃদ্ধি পাবে। অতএব, এ কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না।

[68] Say (O Muhammad SAW) “O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing (as regards guidance) till you act according to the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Qur’ân).” Verily, that which has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) from your Lord increases in most of them (their) obstinate rebellion and disbelief. So be not sorrowful over the people who disbelieve.

[69] إِنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَالَّذينَ هادوا وَالصّٰبِـٔونَ وَالنَّصٰرىٰ مَن ءامَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الءاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ

[69] নিশ্চয় যারা মুসলমান, যারা ইহুদী, ছাবেয়ী বা খ্রীষ্টান, তাদের মধ্যে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে আল্লাহর প্রতি, কিয়ামতের প্রতি এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তাদের কোন ভয় নেই এবং তারা দুঃখিত হবে না।

[69] Surely, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh, in His Messenger Muhammad SAW and all that was revealed to him from Allâh), those who are the Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, – whosoever believed in Allâh and the Last Day, and worked righteousness, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

[70] لَقَد أَخَذنا ميثٰقَ بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ وَأَرسَلنا إِلَيهِم رُسُلًا ۖ كُلَّما جاءَهُم رَسولٌ بِما لا تَهوىٰ أَنفُسُهُم فَريقًا كَذَّبوا وَفَريقًا يَقتُلونَ

[70] আমি বনী-ইসরাঈলের কাছ থেকে অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছিলাম এবং তাদের কাছে অনেক পয়গম্বর প্রেরণ করে ছিলাম। যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন পয়গম্বর এমন নির্দেশ নিয়ে আসত যা তাদের মনে চাইত না, তখন তাদের অনেকের প্রতি তারা মিথ্যারোপ করত এবংঅনেককে হত্যা করে ফেলত।

[70] Verily, We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent Messengers to them. Whenever there came to them a Messenger with what they themselves desired not – a group of them they called liars, and others among them they killed.

[71] وَحَسِبوا أَلّا تَكونَ فِتنَةٌ فَعَموا وَصَمّوا ثُمَّ تابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِم ثُمَّ عَموا وَصَمّوا كَثيرٌ مِنهُم ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصيرٌ بِما يَعمَلونَ

[71] তারা ধারণা করেছে যে, কোন অনিষ্ট হবে না। ফলে তারা আরও অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে গেল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদের তওবা কবুল করলেন। এরপরও তাদের অধিকাংশই অন্ধ ও বধির হয়ে রইল। আল্লাহ দেখেন তারা যা কিছু করে।

[71] They thought there will be no Fitnah (trial or punishment), so they became blind and deaf; after that Allâh turned to them (with Forgiveness); yet again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allâh is the All¬Seer of what they do.
