[154] وَلا تَقولوا لِمَن يُقتَلُ فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ أَموٰتٌ ۚ بَل أَحياءٌ وَلٰكِن لا تَشعُرونَ

[154] আর যারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় নিহত হয়, তাদের মৃত বলো না। বরং তারা জীবিত, কিন্তু তোমরা তা বুঝ না।

[154] And say not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh, “They are dead.” Nay, they are living, but you perceive (it) not.

[155] وَلَنَبلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيءٍ مِنَ الخَوفِ وَالجوعِ وَنَقصٍ مِنَ الأَموٰلِ وَالأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرٰتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصّٰبِرينَ

[155] এবং অবশ্যই আমি তোমাদিগকে পরীক্ষা করব কিছুটা ভয়, ক্ষুধা, মাল ও জানের ক্ষতি ও ফল-ফসল বিনষ্টের মাধ্যমে। তবে সুসংবাদ দাও সবরকারীদের।

[155] And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirun (the patient)

[156] الَّذينَ إِذا أَصٰبَتهُم مُصيبَةٌ قالوا إِنّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنّا إِلَيهِ رٰجِعونَ

[156] যখন তারা বিপদে পতিত হয়, তখন বলে, নিশ্চয় আমরা সবাই আল্লাহর জন্য এবং আমরা সবাই তাঁরই সান্নিধ্যে ফিরে যাবো।

[156] Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allâh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”

[157] أُولٰئِكَ عَلَيهِم صَلَوٰتٌ مِن رَبِّهِم وَرَحمَةٌ ۖ وَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُهتَدونَ

[157] তারা সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অফুরন্ত অনুগ্রহ ও রহমত রয়েছে এবং এসব লোকই হেদায়েত প্রাপ্ত।

[157] They are those on whom are the Salawât (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.

[158] ۞ إِنَّ الصَّفا وَالمَروَةَ مِن شَعائِرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَن حَجَّ البَيتَ أَوِ اعتَمَرَ فَلا جُناحَ عَلَيهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِما ۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شاكِرٌ عَليمٌ

[158] নিঃসন্দেহে সাফা ও মারওয়া আল্লাহ তা’আলার নিদর্শন গুলোর অন্যতম। সুতরাং যারা কা’বা ঘরে হজ্ব বা ওমরাহ পালন করে, তাদের পক্ষে এ দুটিতে প্রদক্ষিণ করাতে কোন দোষ নেই। বরং কেউ যদি স্বেচ্ছায় কিছু নেকীর কাজ করে, তবে আল্লাহ তা’আলার অবশ্যই তা অবগত হবেন এবং তার সে আমলের সঠিক মুল্য দেবেন।

[158] Verily! As-Safâ and Al-Marwah (two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allâh. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or ‘Umrah (pilgrimage) of the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawâf) between them (As-Safâ and Al-Marwah). And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allâh is All-Recogniser, All-Knower.

[159] إِنَّ الَّذينَ يَكتُمونَ ما أَنزَلنا مِنَ البَيِّنٰتِ وَالهُدىٰ مِن بَعدِ ما بَيَّنّٰهُ لِلنّاسِ فِى الكِتٰبِ ۙ أُولٰئِكَ يَلعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلعَنُهُمُ اللّٰعِنونَ

[159] নিশ্চয় যারা গোপন করে, আমি যেসব বিস্তারিত তথ্য এবং হেদায়েতের কথা নাযিল করেছি মানুষের জন্য কিতাবের মধ্যে বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা করার পরও; সে সমস্ত লোকের প্রতিই আল্লাহর অভিসম্পাত এবং অন্যান্য অভিসম্পাতকারীগণের ও।

[159] Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allâh and cursed by the cursers.

[160] إِلَّا الَّذينَ تابوا وَأَصلَحوا وَبَيَّنوا فَأُولٰئِكَ أَتوبُ عَلَيهِم ۚ وَأَنَا التَّوّابُ الرَّحيمُ

[160] তবে যারা তওবা করে এবং বর্ণিত তথ্যাদির সংশোধন করে মানুষের কাছে তা বর্ণনা করে দেয়, সে সমস্ত লোকের তওবা আমি কবুল করি এবং আমি তওবা কবুলকারী পরম দয়ালু।

[160] Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

[161] إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَماتوا وَهُم كُفّارٌ أُولٰئِكَ عَلَيهِم لَعنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالمَلٰئِكَةِ وَالنّاسِ أَجمَعينَ

[161] নিশ্চয় যারা কুফরী করে এবং কাফের অবস্থায়ই মৃত্যুবরণ করে, সে সমস্ত লোকের প্রতি আল্লাহর ফেরেশতাগনের এবং সমগ্র মানুষের লা’নত।

[161] Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined.

[162] خٰلِدينَ فيها ۖ لا يُخَفَّفُ عَنهُمُ العَذابُ وَلا هُم يُنظَرونَ

[162] এরা চিরকাল এ লা’নতের মাঝেই থাকবে। তাদের উপর থেকে আযাব কখনও হালকা করা হবে না বরং এরা বিরাম ও পাবে না।

[162] They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.

[163] وَإِلٰهُكُم إِلٰهٌ وٰحِدٌ ۖ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ الرَّحمٰنُ الرَّحيمُ

[163] আর তোমাদের উপাস্য একইমাত্র উপাস্য। তিনি ছাড়া মহা করুণাময় দয়ালু কেউ নেই।

[163] And your Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God – Allâh), Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

[164] إِنَّ فى خَلقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَاختِلٰفِ الَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ وَالفُلكِ الَّتى تَجرى فِى البَحرِ بِما يَنفَعُ النّاسَ وَما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ مِن ماءٍ فَأَحيا بِهِ الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها وَبَثَّ فيها مِن كُلِّ دابَّةٍ وَتَصريفِ الرِّيٰحِ وَالسَّحابِ المُسَخَّرِ بَينَ السَّماءِ وَالأَرضِ لَءايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ

[164] নিশ্চয়ই আসমান ও যমীনের সৃষ্টিতে, রাত ও দিনের বিবর্তনে এবং নদীতে নৌকাসমূহের চলাচলে মানুষের জন্য কল্যাণ রয়েছে। আর আল্লাহ তা’ আলা আকাশ থেকে যে পানি নাযিল করেছেন, তদ্দ্বারা মৃত যমীনকে সজীব করে তুলেছেন এবং তাতে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন সবরকম জীব-জন্তু। আর আবহাওয়া পরিবর্তনে এবং মেঘমালার যা তাঁরই হুকুমের অধীনে আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে বিচরণ করে, নিশ্চয়ই সে সমস্ত বিষয়ের মাঝে নিদর্শন রয়েছে বুদ্ধিমান সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে।

[164] Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allâh sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Ayât (proofs, evidences, signs, etc.) for people of understanding.

[165] وَمِنَ النّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَندادًا يُحِبّونَهُم كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ ۗ وَلَو يَرَى الَّذينَ ظَلَموا إِذ يَرَونَ العَذابَ أَنَّ القُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَميعًا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ شَديدُ العَذابِ

[165] আর কোন লোক এমনও রয়েছে যারা অন্যান্যকে আল্লাহর সমকক্ষ সাব্যস্ত করে এবং তাদের প্রতি তেমনি ভালবাসা পোষণ করে, যেমন আল্লাহর প্রতি ভালবাসা হয়ে থাকে। কিন্তু যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার তাদের ভালবাসা ওদের তুলনায় বহুগুণ বেশী। আর কতইনা উত্তম হ’ত যদি এ জালেমরা পার্থিব কোন কোন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করেই উপলব্ধি করে নিত যে, যাবতীয় ক্ষমতা শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহরই জন্য এবং আল্লাহর আযাবই সবচেয়ে কঠিনতর।

[165] And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allâh as rivals (to Allâh). They love them as they love Allâh. But those who believe, love Allâh more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allâh and that Allâh is Severe in punishment.

[166] إِذ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذينَ اتُّبِعوا مِنَ الَّذينَ اتَّبَعوا وَرَأَوُا العَذابَ وَتَقَطَّعَت بِهِمُ الأَسبابُ

[166] অনুসৃতরা যখন অনুসরণকারীদের প্রতি অসন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যাবে এবং যখন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করবে আর বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যাবে তাদের পারস্পরিক সমস্ত সম্পর্ক।

[166] When those who were followed, disown (declare themselves innocent of) those who followed (them), and they see the torment, then all their relations will be cut off from them.

[167] وَقالَ الَّذينَ اتَّبَعوا لَو أَنَّ لَنا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنهُم كَما تَبَرَّءوا مِنّا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُريهِمُ اللَّهُ أَعمٰلَهُم حَسَرٰتٍ عَلَيهِم ۖ وَما هُم بِخٰرِجينَ مِنَ النّارِ

[167] এবং অনুসারীরা বলবে, কতইনা ভাল হত, যদি আমাদিগকে পৃথিবীতে ফিরে যাবার সুযোগ দেয়া হত। তাহলে আমরাও তাদের প্রতি তেমনি অসন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যেতাম, যেমন তারা অসন্তুষ্ট হয়েছে আমাদের প্রতি। এভাবেই আল্লাহ তা’আলা তাদেরকে দেখাবেন তাদের কৃতকর্ম তাদেরকে অনুতপ্ত করার জন্যে। অথচ, তারা কস্মিনকালেও আগুন থেকে বের হতে পারবে না।

[167] And those who followed will say: “If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us.” Thus Allâh will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire.

[168] يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ كُلوا مِمّا فِى الأَرضِ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَلا تَتَّبِعوا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيطٰنِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَكُم عَدُوٌّ مُبينٌ

[168] হে মানব মন্ডলী, পৃথিবীর হালাল ও পবিত্র বস্তু-সামগ্রী ভক্ষন কর। আর শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করো না। সে নিঃসন্দেহে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শত্রু।

[168] O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitân (Satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy:

[169] إِنَّما يَأمُرُكُم بِالسّوءِ وَالفَحشاءِ وَأَن تَقولوا عَلَى اللَّهِ ما لا تَعلَمونَ

[169] সে তো এ নির্দেশই তোমাদিগকে দেবে যে, তোমরা অন্যায় ও অশ্লীল কাজ করতে থাক এবং আল্লাহর প্রতি এমন সব বিষয়ে মিথ্যারোপ কর যা তোমরা জান না।

[169] He [Shaitân (Satan)] commands you only what is evil and Fahshâ (sinful), and that you should say against Allâh what you know not.

[170] وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعوا ما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قالوا بَل نَتَّبِعُ ما أَلفَينا عَلَيهِ ءاباءَنا ۗ أَوَلَو كانَ ءاباؤُهُم لا يَعقِلونَ شَيـًٔا وَلا يَهتَدونَ

[170] আর যখন তাদেরকে কেউ বলে যে, সে হুকুমেরই আনুগত্য কর যা আল্লাহ তা’আলা নাযিল করেছেন, তখন তারা বলে কখনো না, আমরা তো সে বিষয়েরই অনুসরণ করব। যাতে আমরা আমাদের বাপ-দাদাদেরকে দেখেছি। যদি ও তাদের বাপ দাদারা কিছুই জানতো না, জানতো না সরল পথও।

[170] When it is said to them: “Follow what Allâh has sent down.” They say: “Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following.” (Would they do that!) even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

[171] وَمَثَلُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا كَمَثَلِ الَّذى يَنعِقُ بِما لا يَسمَعُ إِلّا دُعاءً وَنِداءً ۚ صُمٌّ بُكمٌ عُمىٌ فَهُم لا يَعقِلونَ

[171] বস্তুতঃ এহেন কাফেরদের উদাহরণ এমন, যেন কেউ এমন কোন জীবকে আহবান করছে যা কোন কিছুই শোনে না, হাঁক-ডাক আর চিৎকার ছাড়া বধির মুক, এবং অন্ধ। সুতরাং তারা কিছুই বোঝে না।

[171] And the example of those who disbelieve, is as that of him who shouts to those (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand. (Tafseer Al Qurtubi).

[172] يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا كُلوا مِن طَيِّبٰتِ ما رَزَقنٰكُم وَاشكُروا لِلَّهِ إِن كُنتُم إِيّاهُ تَعبُدونَ

[172] হে ঈমানদারগণ, তোমরা পবিত্র বস্তু সামগ্রী আহার কর, যেগুলো আমি তোমাদেরকে রুযী হিসাবে দান করেছি এবং শুকরিয়া আদায় কর আল্লাহর, যদি তোমরা তাঁরই বন্দেগী কর।

[172] O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allâh, if it is indeed He Whom you worship.

[173] إِنَّما حَرَّمَ عَلَيكُمُ المَيتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحمَ الخِنزيرِ وَما أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنِ اضطُرَّ غَيرَ باغٍ وَلا عادٍ فَلا إِثمَ عَلَيهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

[173] তিনি তোমাদের উপর হারাম করেছেন, মৃত জীব, রক্ত, শুকর মাংস এবং সেসব জীব-জন্তু যা আল্লাহ ব্যাতীত অপর কারো নামে উৎসর্গ করা হয়। অবশ্য যে লোক অনন্যোপায় হয়ে পড়ে এবং নাফরমানী ও সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী না হয়, তার জন্য কোন পাপ নেই। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ মহান ক্ষমাশীল, অত্যন্ত দয়ালু।

[173] He has forbidden you only the Maitah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a scrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols, on which Allâh’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
