[21] وَإِذا مَسَّهُ الخَيرُ مَنوعًا
[21] আর যখন কল্যাণপ্রাপ্ত হয়, তখন কৃপণ হয়ে যায়।
[21] And niggardly when good touches him;-

[22] إِلَّا المُصَلّينَ
[22] তবে তারা স্বতন্ত্র, যারা নামায আদায় কারী।
[22] Except those who are devoted to Salât (prayers).

[23] الَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلاتِهِم دائِمونَ
[23] যারা তাদের নামাযে সার্বক্ষণিক কায়েম থাকে।
[23] Those who remain constant in their Salât (prayers);

[24] وَالَّذينَ فى أَموٰلِهِم حَقٌّ مَعلومٌ
[24] এবং যাদের ধন-সম্পদে নির্ধারিত হক আছে
[24] And those in whose wealth there is a recognised right,

[25] لِلسّائِلِ وَالمَحرومِ
[25] যাঞ্ছাকারী ও বঞ্চিতের
[25] For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened);

[26] وَالَّذينَ يُصَدِّقونَ بِيَومِ الدّينِ
[26] এবং যারা প্রতিফল দিবসকে সত্য বলে বিশ্বাস করে।
[26] And those who believe in the Day of Recompense,

[27] وَالَّذينَ هُم مِن عَذابِ رَبِّهِم مُشفِقونَ
[27] এবং যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার শাস্তির সম্পর্কে ভীত-কম্পিত।
[27] And those who fear the torment of their Lord,

[28] إِنَّ عَذابَ رَبِّهِم غَيرُ مَأمونٍ
[28] নিশ্চয় তাদের পালনকর্তার শাস্তি থেকে নিঃশঙ্কা থাকা যায় না।
[28] Verily, the torment of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure —

[29] وَالَّذينَ هُم لِفُروجِهِم حٰفِظونَ
[29] এবং যারা তাদের যৌন-অঙ্গকে সংযত রাখে
[29] And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts from illegal sexual acts).

[30] إِلّا عَلىٰ أَزوٰجِهِم أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمٰنُهُم فَإِنَّهُم غَيرُ مَلومينَ
[30] কিন্তু তাদের স্ত্রী অথবা মালিকানাভূক্ত দাসীদের বেলায় তিরস্কৃত হবে না।
[30] Except with their wives and the (women slaves) whom their right hands possess — for (then) they are not blameworthy,

[31] فَمَنِ ابتَغىٰ وَراءَ ذٰلِكَ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ العادونَ
[31] অতএব, যারা এদের ছাড়া অন্যকে কামনা করে, তারাই সীমালংঘনকারী।
[31] But whosoever seeks beyond that, then it is those who are trespassers.

[32] وَالَّذينَ هُم لِأَمٰنٰتِهِم وَعَهدِهِم رٰعونَ
[32] এবং যারা তাদের আমানত ও অঙ্গীকার রক্ষা করে
[32] And those who keep their trusts and covenants;

[33] وَالَّذينَ هُم بِشَهٰدٰتِهِم قائِمونَ
[33] এবং যারা তাদের সাক্ষ্যদানে সরল-নিষ্ঠাবান
[33] And those who stand firm in their testimonies;

[34] وَالَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلاتِهِم يُحافِظونَ
[34] এবং যারা তাদের নামাযে যত্নবান,
[34] And those who guard their Salât (prayers) well ,

[35] أُولٰئِكَ فى جَنّٰتٍ مُكرَمونَ
[35] তারাই জান্নাতে সম্মানিত হবে।
[35] Such shall dwell in the Gardens (i.e. Paradise) honoured.

[36] فَمالِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا قِبَلَكَ مُهطِعينَ
[36] অতএব, কাফেরদের কি হল যে, তারা আপনার দিকে উর্ধ্বশ্বাসে ছুটে আসছে।
[36] So what is the matter with those who disbelieve that they hasten to listen from you (O Muhammad SAW), in order to belie you and to mock at you, and at Allâh’s Book (this Qur’ân).

[37] عَنِ اليَمينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمالِ عِزينَ
[37] ডান ও বামদিক থেকে দলে দলে।
[37] (Sitting) in groups on the right and on the left (of you, O Muhammad SAW)?

[38] أَيَطمَعُ كُلُّ امرِئٍ مِنهُم أَن يُدخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعيمٍ
[38] তাদের প্রত্যেকেই কি আশা করে যে, তাকে নেয়ামতের জান্নাতে দাখিল করা হবে?
[38] Does every man of them hope to enter the Paradise of Delight?

[39] كَلّا ۖ إِنّا خَلَقنٰهُم مِمّا يَعلَمونَ
[39] কখনই নয়, আমি তাদেরকে এমন বস্তু দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছি, যা তারা জানে।
[39] No, that is not like that! Verily, We have created them out of that which they know!

[40] فَلا أُقسِمُ بِرَبِّ المَشٰرِقِ وَالمَغٰرِبِ إِنّا لَقٰدِرونَ
[40] আমি শপথ করছি উদয়াচল ও অস্তাচলসমূহের পালনকর্তার, নিশ্চয়ই আমি সক্ষম!
[40] So I swear by the Lord of all [the three hundred and sixty-five (365)] points of sunrise and sunset in the east and the west that surely We are Able —
