[21] وَلَا الظِّلُّ وَلَا الحَرورُ
[21] সমান নয় ছায়া ও তপ্তরোদ।
[21] Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun’s heat.

[22] وَما يَستَوِى الأَحياءُ وَلَا الأَموٰتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسمِعُ مَن يَشاءُ ۖ وَما أَنتَ بِمُسمِعٍ مَن فِى القُبورِ
[22] আরও সমান নয় জীবিত ও মৃত। আল্লাহ শ্রবণ করান যাকে ইচ্ছা। আপনি কবরে শায়িতদেরকে শুনাতে সক্ষম নন।
[22] Nor are (alike) the living (i.e. the believers) and the dead (i.e. the disbelievers). Verily, Allâh makes whom He wills to hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves.

[23] إِن أَنتَ إِلّا نَذيرٌ
[23] আপনি তো কেবল একজন সতর্ককারী।
[23] You (O Muhammad SAW) are only a warner (i.e. your duty is to convey Allâh’s Message to mankind but the guidance is in Allâh’s).

[24] إِنّا أَرسَلنٰكَ بِالحَقِّ بَشيرًا وَنَذيرًا ۚ وَإِن مِن أُمَّةٍ إِلّا خَلا فيها نَذيرٌ
[24] আমি আপনাকে সত্যধর্মসহ পাঠিয়েছি সংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে। এমন কোন সম্প্রদায় নেই যাতে সতর্ককারী আসেনি।
[24] Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them.

[25] وَإِن يُكَذِّبوكَ فَقَد كَذَّبَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم جاءَتهُم رُسُلُهُم بِالبَيِّنٰتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالكِتٰبِ المُنيرِ
[25] তারা যদি আপনার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে, তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। তাদের কাছে তাদের রসূলগণ স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন, সহীফা এবং উজ্জল কিতাবসহ এসেছিলেন।
[25] And if they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the book giving light.

[26] ثُمَّ أَخَذتُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا ۖ فَكَيفَ كانَ نَكيرِ
[26] অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে ধৃত করেছিলাম। কেমন ছিল আমার আযাব!
[26] Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment)!

[27] أَلَم تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَخرَجنا بِهِ ثَمَرٰتٍ مُختَلِفًا أَلوٰنُها ۚ وَمِنَ الجِبالِ جُدَدٌ بيضٌ وَحُمرٌ مُختَلِفٌ أَلوٰنُها وَغَرابيبُ سودٌ
[27] তুমি কি দেখনি আল্লাহ আকাশ থেকে বৃষ্টিবর্ষণ করেন, অতঃপর তদ্দ্বারা আমি বিভিন্ন বর্ণের ফল-মূল উদগত করি। পর্বতসমূহের মধ্যে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন বর্ণের গিরিপথ-সাদা, লাল ও নিকষ কালো কৃষ্ণ।
[27] See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and We produce therewith fruits of varying colours, and among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colours and (others) very black

[28] وَمِنَ النّاسِ وَالدَّوابِّ وَالأَنعٰمِ مُختَلِفٌ أَلوٰنُهُ كَذٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّما يَخشَى اللَّهَ مِن عِبادِهِ العُلَمٰؤُا۟ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزيزٌ غَفورٌ
[28] অনুরূপ ভাবে বিভিন্ন বর্ণের মানুষ, জন্তু, চতুস্পদ প্রাণী রয়েছে। আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানীরাই কেবল তাঁকে ভয় করে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী ক্ষমাময়।
[28] And likewise of men and Ad¬Dawâbb (moving (living) creatures, beasts), and cattle, of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All¬Mighty, Oft¬Forgiving.

[29] إِنَّ الَّذينَ يَتلونَ كِتٰبَ اللَّهِ وَأَقامُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَأَنفَقوا مِمّا رَزَقنٰهُم سِرًّا وَعَلانِيَةً يَرجونَ تِجٰرَةً لَن تَبورَ
[29] যারা আল্লাহর কিতাব পাঠ করে, নামায কায়েম করে, এবং আমি যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে ব্যয় করে, তারা এমন ব্যবসা আশা কর, যাতে কখনও লোকসান হবে না।
[29] Verily, those who recite the Book of Allâh (this Qur’ân), and perform As¬Salât (Iqâmat¬as¬Salât), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, they hope for a (sure) trade¬gain that will never perish.

[30] لِيُوَفِّيَهُم أُجورَهُم وَيَزيدَهُم مِن فَضلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ غَفورٌ شَكورٌ
[30] পরিণামে তাদেরকে আল্লাহ তাদের সওয়াব পুরোপুরি দেবেন এবং নিজ অনুগ্রহে আরও বেশী দেবেন। নিশ্চয় তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, গুণগ্রাহী।
[30] That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily! He is Oft¬Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

[31] وَالَّذى أَوحَينا إِلَيكَ مِنَ الكِتٰبِ هُوَ الحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِما بَينَ يَدَيهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِعِبادِهِ لَخَبيرٌ بَصيرٌ
[31] আমি আপনার প্রতি যে কিতাব প্রত্যাদেশ করেছি, তা সত্য-পূর্ববর্তী কিতাবের সত্যায়ন কারী নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাদের ব্যাপারে সব জানেন, দেখেন।
[31] And what We have revealed to you (O Muhammad SAW), of the Book (the Qur’ân), it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad SAW) and your followers must act on its instructions], confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily! Allâh is indeed All¬Aware, and All¬Seer of His slaves.

[32] ثُمَّ أَورَثنَا الكِتٰبَ الَّذينَ اصطَفَينا مِن عِبادِنا ۖ فَمِنهُم ظالِمٌ لِنَفسِهِ وَمِنهُم مُقتَصِدٌ وَمِنهُم سابِقٌ بِالخَيرٰتِ بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الفَضلُ الكَبيرُ
[32] অতঃপর আমি কিতাবের অধিকারী করেছি তাদেরকে যাদেরকে আমি আমার বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে মনোনীত করেছি। তাদের কেউ কেউ নিজের প্রতি অত্যাচারী, কেউ মধ্যপন্থা অবলম্বনকারী এবং তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ আল্লাহর নির্দেশক্রমে কল্যাণের পথে এগিয়ে গেছে। এটাই মহা অনুগ্রহ।
[32] Then We gave the (Book the Qur’ân) as inheritance to such of Our slaves whom We chose (the followers of Muhammad SAW). Then of them are some who wrong their ownselves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allâh’s Leave, foremost in good deeds. That (inheritance of the Qur’ân), that is indeed a great grace.

[33] جَنّٰتُ عَدنٍ يَدخُلونَها يُحَلَّونَ فيها مِن أَساوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤلُؤًا ۖ وَلِباسُهُم فيها حَريرٌ
[33] তারা প্রবেশ করবে বসবাসের জান্নাতে। তথায় তারা স্বর্ণনির্মিত, মোতি খচিত কংকন দ্বারা অলংকৃত হবে। সেখানে তাদের পোশাক হবে রেশমের।
[33] ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) will they enter, therein will they be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments there will be of silk.

[34] وَقالُوا الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذى أَذهَبَ عَنَّا الحَزَنَ ۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنا لَغَفورٌ شَكورٌ
[34] আর তারা বলবে-সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, যিনি আমাদের দূঃখ দূর করেছেন। নিশ্চয় আমাদের পালনকর্তা ক্ষমাশীল, গুণগ্রাহী।
[34] And they will say: “All the praises and thanks are to Allâh, Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft¬Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

[35] الَّذى أَحَلَّنا دارَ المُقامَةِ مِن فَضلِهِ لا يَمَسُّنا فيها نَصَبٌ وَلا يَمَسُّنا فيها لُغوبٌ
[35] যিনি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে আমাদেরকে বসবাসের গৃহে স্থান দিয়েছেন, তথায় কষ্ট আমাদেরকে স্পর্শ করে না এবং স্পর্শ করে না ক্লান্তি।
[35] Who, out of His Grace, has lodged us in a home that will last forever; were, toil will touch us not, nor weariness will touch us.”

[36] وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا لَهُم نارُ جَهَنَّمَ لا يُقضىٰ عَلَيهِم فَيَموتوا وَلا يُخَفَّفُ عَنهُم مِن عَذابِها ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نَجزى كُلَّ كَفورٍ
[36] আর যারা কাফের হয়েছে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে জাহান্নামের আগুন। তাদেরকে মৃত্যুর আদেশও দেয়া হবে না যে, তারা মরে যাবে এবং তাদের থেকে তার শাস্তিও লাঘব করা হবে না। আমি প্রত্যেক অকৃতজ্ঞকে এভাবেই শাস্তি দিয়ে থাকি।
[36] But those who disbelieve, (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever!

[37] وَهُم يَصطَرِخونَ فيها رَبَّنا أَخرِجنا نَعمَل صٰلِحًا غَيرَ الَّذى كُنّا نَعمَلُ ۚ أَوَلَم نُعَمِّركُم ما يَتَذَكَّرُ فيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجاءَكُمُ النَّذيرُ ۖ فَذوقوا فَما لِلظّٰلِمينَ مِن نَصيرٍ
[37] সেখানে তারা আর্ত চিৎকার করে বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, বের করুন আমাদেরকে, আমরা সৎকাজ করব, পূর্বে যা করতাম, তা করব না। (আল্লাহ বলবেন) আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এতটা বয়স দেইনি, যাতে যা চিন্তা করার বিষয় চিন্তা করতে পারতে? উপরন্তু তোমাদের কাছে সতর্ককারীও আগমন করেছিল। অতএব আস্বাদন কর। জালেমদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই।
[37] Therein they will cry: “Our Lord! Bring us out, we shall do righteous good deeds, not (the evil deeds) that we used to do.” (Allâh will reply): “Did We not give you lives long enough, so that whosoever would receive admonition, could receive it? And the warner came to you. So taste you (the evil of your deeds). For the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong¬doers) there is no helper.”

[38] إِنَّ اللَّهَ عٰلِمُ غَيبِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَليمٌ بِذاتِ الصُّدورِ
[38] আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনের অদৃশ্য বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞাত। তিনি অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কেও সবিশেষ অবহিত।
[38] Verily, Allâh is the All¬Knower of the unseen of the heavens and the earth. Verily! He is the All¬Knower of that is in the breasts.

[39] هُوَ الَّذى جَعَلَكُم خَلٰئِفَ فِى الأَرضِ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيهِ كُفرُهُ ۖ وَلا يَزيدُ الكٰفِرينَ كُفرُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم إِلّا مَقتًا ۖ وَلا يَزيدُ الكٰفِرينَ كُفرُهُم إِلّا خَسارًا
[39] তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে স্বীয় প্রতিনিধি করেছেন। অতএব যে কুফরী করবে তার কুফরী তার উপরই বর্তাবে। কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের পালনকর্তার ক্রোধই বৃদ্ধি করে এবং কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করে।
[39] He it is Who has made you successors generations after generations in the earth, so whosoever disbelieves (in Islâmic Monotheism) on him will be his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but hatred of their Lord. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but loss.

[40] قُل أَرَءَيتُم شُرَكاءَكُمُ الَّذينَ تَدعونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَرونى ماذا خَلَقوا مِنَ الأَرضِ أَم لَهُم شِركٌ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ أَم ءاتَينٰهُم كِتٰبًا فَهُم عَلىٰ بَيِّنَتٍ مِنهُ ۚ بَل إِن يَعِدُ الظّٰلِمونَ بَعضُهُم بَعضًا إِلّا غُرورًا
[40] বলুন, তোমরা কি তোমাদের সে শরীকদের কথা ভেবে দেখেছ, যাদেরকে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা ডাক? তারা পৃথিবীতে কিছু সৃষ্টি করে থাকলে আমাকে দেখাও। না আসমান সৃষ্টিতে তাদের কোন অংশ আছে, না আমি তাদেরকে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি যে, তারা তার দলীলের উপর কায়েম রয়েছে, বরং জালেমরা একে অপরকে কেবল প্রতারণামূলক ওয়াদা দিয়ে থাকে।
[40] Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Tell me or inform me (what) do you think about your (so¬called) partner¬gods to whom you call upon besides Allâh? show me, what they have created of the earth? Or have they any share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book, so that they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong¬doers) promise one another nothing but delusions.”
