[49] قُل فَأتوا بِكِتٰبٍ مِن عِندِ اللَّهِ هُوَ أَهدىٰ مِنهُما أَتَّبِعهُ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[49] বলুন, তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে এখন আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে কোন কিতাব আন, যা এতদুভয় থেকে উত্তম পথপ্রদর্শক হয়। আমি সেই কিতাব অনুসরণ করব।
[49] Say (to them, O Muhammad SAW): “Then bring a Book from Allâh, which is a better guide than these two [the Taurât (Torah) and the Qur’ân], that I may follow it, if you are truthful.”

[50] فَإِن لَم يَستَجيبوا لَكَ فَاعلَم أَنَّما يَتَّبِعونَ أَهواءَهُم ۚ وَمَن أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوىٰهُ بِغَيرِ هُدًى مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَهدِى القَومَ الظّٰلِمينَ
[50] অতঃপর তারা যদি আপনার কথায় সাড়া না দেয়, তবে জানবেন, তারা শুধু নিজের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে। আল্লাহর হেদায়েতের পরিবর্তে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে, তার চাইতে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ জালেম সম্প্রদায়কে পথ দেখান না।
[50] But if they answer you not (i.e. do not bring the book nor believe in your doctrine of Islâmic Monotheism), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allâh? Verily! Allâh guides not the people who are Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, disobedient to Allâh, and polytheists)

[51] ۞ وَلَقَد وَصَّلنا لَهُمُ القَولَ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَذَكَّرونَ
[51] আমি তাদের কাছে উপর্যুপরি বাণী পৌছিয়েছি। যাতে তারা অনুধাবন করে।
[51] And indeed now We have conveyed the Word (this Qur’ân in which is the news of everything) to them, in order that they may remember (or receive admonition).

[52] الَّذينَ ءاتَينٰهُمُ الكِتٰبَ مِن قَبلِهِ هُم بِهِ يُؤمِنونَ
[52] কোরআনের পূর্বে আমি যাদেরকে কিতাব দিয়েছি, তারা এতে বিশ্বাস করে।
[52] Those to whom We gave the Scripture [i.e. the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before it, – they believe in it (the Qur’ân).

[53] وَإِذا يُتلىٰ عَلَيهِم قالوا ءامَنّا بِهِ إِنَّهُ الحَقُّ مِن رَبِّنا إِنّا كُنّا مِن قَبلِهِ مُسلِمينَ
[53] যখন তাদের কাছে এটা পাঠ করা হয়, তখন তারা বলে, আমরা এর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। এটা আমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে সত্য। আমরা এর পূর্বেও আজ্ঞাবহ ছিলাম।
[53] And when it is recited to them, they say: “We believe in it. Verily, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed even before it we have been from those who submit themselves to Allâh in Islâm as Muslims (like ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm and Salmân Al-Farisî).

[54] أُولٰئِكَ يُؤتَونَ أَجرَهُم مَرَّتَينِ بِما صَبَروا وَيَدرَءونَ بِالحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمّا رَزَقنٰهُم يُنفِقونَ
[54] তারা দুইবার পুরস্কৃত হবে তাদের সবরের কারণে। তারা মন্দের জওয়াবে ভাল করে এবং আমি তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে।
[54] These will be given their reward twice over, because they are patient, and repel evil with good, and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided them.

[55] وَإِذا سَمِعُوا اللَّغوَ أَعرَضوا عَنهُ وَقالوا لَنا أَعمٰلُنا وَلَكُم أَعمٰلُكُم سَلٰمٌ عَلَيكُم لا نَبتَغِى الجٰهِلينَ
[55] তারা যখন অবাঞ্চিত বাজে কথাবার্তা শ্রবণ করে, তখন তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং বলে, আমাদের জন্যে আমাদের কাজ এবং তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের কাজ। তোমাদের প্রতি সালাম। আমরা অজ্ঞদের সাথে জড়িত হতে চাই না।
[55] And when they hear Al¬Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk), they withdraw from it and say: “To us our deeds, and to you your deeds. Peace be to you. We seek not (the way of) the ignorant.”

[56] إِنَّكَ لا تَهدى مَن أَحبَبتَ وَلٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهدى مَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَهُوَ أَعلَمُ بِالمُهتَدينَ
[56] আপনি যাকে পছন্দ করেন, তাকে সৎপথে আনতে পারবেন না, তবে আল্লাহ তা’আলাই যাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে আনয়ন করেন। কে সৎপথে আসবে, সে সম্পর্কে তিনিই ভাল জানেন।
[56] Verily! You (O Muhammad SAW) guide not whom you like, but Allâh guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided

[57] وَقالوا إِن نَتَّبِعِ الهُدىٰ مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّف مِن أَرضِنا ۚ أَوَلَم نُمَكِّن لَهُم حَرَمًا ءامِنًا يُجبىٰ إِلَيهِ ثَمَرٰتُ كُلِّ شَيءٍ رِزقًا مِن لَدُنّا وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَعلَمونَ
[57] তারা বলে, যদি আমরা আপনার সাথে সুপথে আসি, তবে আমরা আমাদের দেশ থেকে উৎখাত হব। আমি কি তাদের জন্যে একটি নিরাপদ হরম প্রতিষ্ঠিত করিনি? এখানে সর্বপ্রকার ফল-মূল আমদানী হয় আমার দেয়া রিযিকস্বরূপ। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
[57] And they say: “If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land.” Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary (Makkah), to which are brought fruits of all kinds, a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.

[58] وَكَم أَهلَكنا مِن قَريَةٍ بَطِرَت مَعيشَتَها ۖ فَتِلكَ مَسٰكِنُهُم لَم تُسكَن مِن بَعدِهِم إِلّا قَليلًا ۖ وَكُنّا نَحنُ الوٰرِثينَ
[58] আমি অনেক জনপদ ধবংস করেছি, যার অধিবাসীরা তাদের জীবন যাপনে মদমত্ত ছিল। এগুলোই এখন তাদের ঘর-বাড়ী। তাদের পর এগুলোতে মানুষ সামান্যই বসবাস করেছে। অবশেষে আমিই মালিক রয়েছি।
[58] And how many a town (population) have We destroyed, which were thankless for its means of livelihood (disobeyed Allâh, and His Messengers, by doing evil deeds and crimes) ! And those are their dwellings, which have not been inhabited after them except a little. And verily! We have been the inheritors.

[59] وَما كانَ رَبُّكَ مُهلِكَ القُرىٰ حَتّىٰ يَبعَثَ فى أُمِّها رَسولًا يَتلوا عَلَيهِم ءايٰتِنا ۚ وَما كُنّا مُهلِكِى القُرىٰ إِلّا وَأَهلُها ظٰلِمونَ
[59] আপনার পালনকর্তা জনপদসমূহকে ধ্বংস করেন না, যে পর্যন্ত তার কেন্দ্রস্থলে রসূল প্রেরণ না করেন, যিনি তাদের কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করেন এবং আমি জনপদসমূহকে তখনই ধ্বংস করি, যখন তার বাসিন্দারা জুলুম করে।
[59] And never will your Lord destroy the towns (populations) until He sends to their mother town a Messenger reciting to them Our Verses. And never would We destroy the towns unless the people thereof are Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, oppressors and tyrants).

[60] وَما أوتيتُم مِن شَيءٍ فَمَتٰعُ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا وَزينَتُها ۚ وَما عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيرٌ وَأَبقىٰ ۚ أَفَلا تَعقِلونَ
[60] তোমাদেরকে যা কিছু দেয়া হয়েছে, তা পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ ও শোভা বৈ নয়। আর আল্লাহর কাছে যা আছে, তা উত্তম ও স্থায়ী। তোমরা কি বোঝ না ?
[60] And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allâh is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense?

[61] أَفَمَن وَعَدنٰهُ وَعدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لٰقيهِ كَمَن مَتَّعنٰهُ مَتٰعَ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ مِنَ المُحضَرينَ
[61] যাকে আমি উত্তম প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি, যা সে পাবে, সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমান, যাকে আমি পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ-সম্ভার দিয়েছি, অতঃপর তাকে কেয়ামতের দিন অপরাধীরূপে হাযির করা হবে?
[61] Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise),— which he will find true, – like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?

[62] وَيَومَ يُناديهِم فَيَقولُ أَينَ شُرَكاءِىَ الَّذينَ كُنتُم تَزعُمونَ
[62] যেদিন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে আওয়াজ দিয়ে বলবেন, তোমরা যাদেরকে আমার শরীক দাবী করতে, তারা কোথায়?
[62] And (remember) the Day when He will call to them, and say: “Where are My (so-called) partners whom you used to assert?”

[63] قالَ الَّذينَ حَقَّ عَلَيهِمُ القَولُ رَبَّنا هٰؤُلاءِ الَّذينَ أَغوَينا أَغوَينٰهُم كَما غَوَينا ۖ تَبَرَّأنا إِلَيكَ ۖ ما كانوا إِيّانا يَعبُدونَ
[63] যাদের জন্যে শাস্তির আদেশ অবধারিত হয়েছে, তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা। এদেরকেই আমরা পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম। আমরা তাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম, যেমন আমরা পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছিলাম। আমরা আপনার সামনে দায়মুক্ত হচ্ছি। তারা কেবল আমাদেরই এবাদত করত না।
[63] Those about whom the Word will have come true (to be punished) will say: “Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray, as we were astray ourselves. We declare our innocence (from them) before You. It was not us they worshipped.”

 [64] وَقيلَ ادعوا شُرَكاءَكُم فَدَعَوهُم فَلَم يَستَجيبوا لَهُم وَرَأَوُا العَذابَ ۚ لَو أَنَّهُم كانوا يَهتَدونَ
[64] বলা হবে, তোমরা তোমাদের শরীকদের আহবান কর। তখন তারা ডাকবে,। অতঃপর তারা তাদের ডাকে সাড়া দিবে না এবং তারা আযাব দেখবে। হায়! তারা যদি সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত হত।
[64] And it will be said (to them): “Call upon your (so-called) partners (of Allâh), and they will call upon them, but they will give no answer to them, and they will see the torment. (They will then wish) if only they had been guided!

[65] وَيَومَ يُناديهِم فَيَقولُ ماذا أَجَبتُمُ المُرسَلينَ
[65] যে দিন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ডেকে বলবেন, তোমরা রসূলগণকে কি জওয়াব দিয়েছিলে?
[65] And (remember) the Day (Allâh) will call to them, and say: “What answer gave you to the Messengers?”

[66] فَعَمِيَت عَلَيهِمُ الأَنباءُ يَومَئِذٍ فَهُم لا يَتَساءَلونَ
[66] অতঃপর তাদের কথাবার্তা বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে এবং তারা একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে পারবে না।
[66] Then the news of a good answer will be obscured to them on that day, and they will not be able to ask one another.

[67] فَأَمّا مَن تابَ وَءامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَعَسىٰ أَن يَكونَ مِنَ المُفلِحينَ
[67] তবে যে তওবা করে, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, আশা করা যায়, সে সফলকাম হবে।
[67] But as for him who repented (from polytheism and sins), believed (in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and did righteous deeds (in the life of this world), then he will be among those who are successful.

[68] وَرَبُّكَ يَخلُقُ ما يَشاءُ وَيَختارُ ۗ ما كانَ لَهُمُ الخِيَرَةُ ۚ سُبحٰنَ اللَّهِ وَتَعٰلىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ
[68] আপনার পালনকর্তা যা ইচ্ছা সৃষ্টি করেন এবং পছন্দ করেন। তাদের কোন ক্ষমতা নেই। আল্লাহ পবিত্র এবং তারা যাকে শরীক করে, তা থেকে উর্ধ্বে।
[68] And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses, no choice have they (in any matter). Glorified is Allâh, and exalted above all that they associate (as partners with Him).
