[81] وَءاتَينٰهُم ءايٰتِنا فَكانوا عَنها مُعرِضينَ

[81] আমি তাদেরকে নিজের নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়েছি। অতঃপর তারা এগুলো থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

[81] And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them.

[82] وَكانوا يَنحِتونَ مِنَ الجِبالِ بُيوتًا ءامِنينَ

[82] তারা পাহাড়ে নিশ্চিন্তে ঘর খোদাই করত।

[82] And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure.

[83] فَأَخَذَتهُمُ الصَّيحَةُ مُصبِحينَ

[83] অতঃপর এক প্রত্যুষে তাদের উপর একটা শব্দ এসে আঘাত করল।

[83] But As-Saîhah (torment – awful cry) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days)

[84] فَما أَغنىٰ عَنهُم ما كانوا يَكسِبونَ

[84] তখন কোন উপকারে আসল না যা তারা উপার্জন করেছিল।

[84] And all that they used to earn availed them not

[85] وَما خَلَقنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ وَما بَينَهُما إِلّا بِالحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ السّاعَةَ لَءاتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصفَحِ الصَّفحَ الجَميلَ

[85] আমি নভোমন্ডল, ভুমন্ডল এবং এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী যা আছে তা তাৎপর্যহীন সৃষ্টি করিনি। কেয়ামত অবশ্যই আসবে। অতএব পরম ঔদাসীন্যের সাথে ওদের ক্রিয়াকর্ম উপক্ষো করুন।

[85] And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihâd holy fighting in Allâh’s Cause]

[86] إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الخَلّٰقُ العَليمُ

[86] নিশ্চয় আপনার পালনকর্তাই স্রষ্টা, সর্বজ্ঞ।

[86] Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator.

[87] وَلَقَد ءاتَينٰكَ سَبعًا مِنَ المَثانى وَالقُرءانَ العَظيمَ

[87] আমি আপনাকে সাতটি বার বার পঠিতব্য আয়াত এবং মহান কোরআন দিয়েছি।

[87] And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathâni (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Sûrat Al-Fâtihah) and the Grand Qur’ân.

[88] لا تَمُدَّنَّ عَينَيكَ إِلىٰ ما مَتَّعنا بِهِ أَزوٰجًا مِنهُم وَلا تَحزَن عَلَيهِم وَاخفِض جَناحَكَ لِلمُؤمِنينَ

[88] আপনি চক্ষু তুলে ঐ বস্তুর প্রতি দেখবেন না, যা আমি তাদের মধ্যে কয়েক প্রকার লোককে ভোগ করার জন্যে দিয়েছি, তাদের জন্যে চিন্তিত হবেন না আর ঈমানদারদের জন্যে স্বীয় বাহু নত করুন।

[88] Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers).

[89] وَقُل إِنّى أَنَا النَّذيرُ المُبينُ

[89] আর বলুনঃ আমি প্রকাশ্য ভয় প্রদর্শক।

[89] And say (O Muhammad SAW): “I am indeed a plain warner.”

[90] كَما أَنزَلنا عَلَى المُقتَسِمينَ

[90] যেমন আমি নাযিল করেছি যারা বিভিন্ন মতে বিভক্ত তাদের উপর।

[90] As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians).

[91] الَّذينَ جَعَلُوا القُرءانَ عِضينَ

[91] যারা কোরআনকে খন্ড খন্ড করেছে।

[91] Who have made the Qur’ân into parts. (i.e. believed in one part and disbelieved in the other). (Tafir At-Tabari)

[92] فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسـَٔلَنَّهُم أَجمَعينَ

[92] অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই ওদের সবাইকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করব।

[92] So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account.

[93] عَمّا كانوا يَعمَلونَ

[93] ওদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে।

[93] For all that they used to do.

[94] فَاصدَع بِما تُؤمَرُ وَأَعرِض عَنِ المُشرِكينَ

[94] অতএব আপনি প্রকাশ্যে শুনিয়ে দিন যা আপনাকে আদেশ করা হয় এবং মুশরিকদের পরওয়া করবেন না।

[94] Therefore proclaim openly (Allâh’s Message – Islâmic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. – see V.2:105).

[95] إِنّا كَفَينٰكَ المُستَهزِءينَ

[95] বিদ্রুপকারীদের জন্যে আমি আপনার পক্ষ থেকে যথেষ্ট।

[95] Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers.

[96] الَّذينَ يَجعَلونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا ءاخَرَ ۚ فَسَوفَ يَعلَمونَ

[96] যারা আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্য সাব্যস্ত করে। অতএব অতিসত্তর তারা জেনে নেবে।

[96] Who set up along with Allâh another ilâh (god), but they will come to know.

[97] وَلَقَد نَعلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضيقُ صَدرُكَ بِما يَقولونَ

[97] আমি জানি যে আপনি তাদের কথাবর্তায় হতোদ্যম হয়ে পড়েন।

[97] Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say.

[98] فَسَبِّح بِحَمدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِنَ السّٰجِدينَ

[98] অতএব আপনি পালনকর্তার সৌন্দর্য স্মরণ করুন এবং সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে যান।

[98] So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him).

[99] وَاعبُد رَبَّكَ حَتّىٰ يَأتِيَكَ اليَقينُ

[99] এবং পালনকর্তার এবাদত করুন, যে পর্যন্ত আপনার কাছে নিশ্চিত কথা না আসে।

[99] And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death).
